  1. It was the perfect hit, still holds up because of the placement of the hit and how it wasn’t made too early or too late just perfect enough so that Woodcock wouldn’t make the catch.
  2. Anyways I decided after going out with a few friends to watch game one of the Stanley Cup finals and drinking too much to take a break from alcohol for a bit. I normally do a sober February and I always feel great about myself, so I’m going to try to abstain from alcohol for a little bit this summer, very few bomber games have been watched sober so looking forward to it and maybe seeing things in a slightly different light tonight!
  3. Are you sure we only ever wore them once? I was at that game so I remember it pretty well. I thought we wore them once or twice more that season then retired them for the current jersey we wear today.
  4. Looks like they’re going to debut their new colour rush alternative jersey August the 11th against Montreal. Curious to see how those things look in the field.
  5. Yeah I was obviously talking out of my ass, admittedly I haven’t heard of anything to do regarding this promo, so when I heard white out I only assumed it was to do with the Jets. My bad.
  6. What’s wrong with wearing white for one game? A cool homage to the Winnipeg Jets, I like when teams in the community support each other. Seems like a weird hill to die on, almost like TBERGS when he’s fist pumping that there was no flag called on the Schoen and Colloras hit.
  7. Probably it’s inconsistency on player safety, and discipline when you allow guys like Lawrence to go around injuring people every year without much repercussions.
  8. Yeah I think our secondary will be fine but you won’t see it dialed in until Alexander returns. He just such such a safety blanket out there, no pun intended.
  9. Ultimately it doesn’t matter he was fumbling and in a vulnerable position there was no need to target the head, that’s a 15 yard penalty in today’s game, I’ve seen a lot less called for the exact same thing. Like it or not player safety is a big focus.
  10. This is good news, Jefferson was outstanding in game one but didn’t seem like we got the same push we normally do from the other guys so having Jeffcoat back to get at Masoli will be huge.
  11. I’m not talking about Collaros. In fact even though it’s normally called on QB’s I could live with out the penalty because at least he was on the way down and it looked accidental. However the Ottawa defender led with his head, Shoen had his neck exposed looking down as he was lost the ball the the defender decided to light him up, to me that’s a clear and cut 15 yard un necessary roughness penalty at the very least not to mention he’s a punk for leading with his helmet anyways, you’re taught at a young age not to use your head in tackling so I’m not sure why you’re trying to argue about this.
  12. I’m hoping maybe we can get Augustine some more touches this game. With his speed it could definitely benefit us, especially with our o-line taking some time to gel and play up to their high standards.
  13. I don’t know why you keep on dying on this hill the defender decided to use his helmet to target a defense less receiver and hit him helmet to helmet, he was already losing control of the ball when the first tackler bumped him, there was no need to target the head, these hits have been called pretty consistently for the last several years in both the NFL and the CFL. Like it or not this isn’t the 80’s or 90’s player safety is important and reckless hits have no part in the game.
  14. I have one strike! I wasn’t listed… but I’ll go with Jamal Morrow.
  15. No his head was exposed and the DB made the decision to lead with his helmet on a defenseless receiver. The worst hit of the night in my opinion at least with Collaros he was on his way down, this was a targeted attempt.
  16. Yep I love the CFL but in the NFL both would have been callled because they know how to protect their players.
  17. Agreed my biggest problems with the game was our o line wasn’t up to its usual standards and our secondary got shredded. Work to be done! But 1-0 is 1-0
  18. Well Brown went 3/3 for 51 yards to get us to the win so I’m comfortable with giving him first star because without that drive we don’t win period. Defenders were leading with their head all game. Not good for the game. Gotta call a flag
  19. I remember it like it was yesterday. Never going to forget how soaked I was that day. Fun times though. Lots of beer was consumed.
  20. Demski since I picked him in fantasy
  21. I honestly don’t like using a bad facility as an excuse. We still got good crowds to cannad inns after a lot of years of bad to mediocre teams in the 2000’s, Calgary has always had a squad that’s a contender it’s really no excuse go support your team!
  22. I always ask my friends if we plan on walking anywhere if it’s “stumbling distance”
  23. You forgot to throw in a Riders suck at the end so that we can stay on topic 😉
  24. Fans who don’t have an athletic bone in their body actually think they’re responsible for winning a football game lmao what a clown.
  25. Completely disagree. We’re all human beings, I enjoy the easy going banter talk in the afternoon before the game starts, adds some fun, and personality to these conversations.
