Montreal still has chance for second place. They have a lot to play for.
-
Harris has played almost a decade in the CFL and he has the best runningback in the CFL that is helping him make it second and manageable
-
I don’t know what we’re expecting though. The weather is crap, Montreal has a pretty good defense and we’re running the ball predictably. By putting your quarterback in second and long every series isn’t a recipe for success.

Well chris streveler ran a legit 4.5 40 time, and McGuire runs about a 5. Big difference lol!
-
Huh what happened to Huff in Calgary? Isn’t he having a decent season..
-
Ok boomer 😉

Montreal played well. I keep on saying this though. Our team is so physical. We’ll make you pay for every yard gained. By the time the fourth quarter rolls around they’re not only physically beat, but mentally beat too. That’s why we allow so few points in the second half, and in the fourth quarter in particular.

3 stars and hh Lol'ouettes another pretender crowned.

For sure he’s averaging 16 yards a catch and about 2.5 catches a game. I definitely consider him our fourth option on the offense so I have no problems with it. Should we think about moving on after this season? Perhaps but nothing wrong for what his role is in this offence. -

That’s okay we don’t need him to be the Darvin Adam’s of 2018 in this offence as long as he blocks well, and provides a few big catches every game(which he is doing) -

I was worried our receiving core would be our weakness but Lawler has turned into that number one guy, and Bailey and Adam’s have been good complementary pieces, and Demski has really stepped up as an outstanding Canadian receiver, and woli is a solid complimentary piece. -

It’s crazy how reliable Lawler is. I swear I keep on looking at the box score and I see numbers like 7 caches and 111 yards each week even though while I’m watching the game I’m thinking he’s having a good game but the numbers always seem to surprise me. Just quietly up numbers week after week. -

I have to say too our d was outstanding. Especially after that early touchdown in the 3rd quarter. They buckled down and didn’t allow Montreal to keep the momentum or when we took the league we knew they were going to try and push. I love the big hit Bighill laid as the Montreal receiver was trying to tip toe out of bounds. One of my biggest pet peeves is when these guys are dancing on the side lines no one makes them pay as they take their sweet time to go out of bounds. That was awesome. -
Yep we’re going to have to get used to everyone playing their best game against us. Everyone has something to prove against the top dog. We’ve mostly answered the bell though.

To be honest both commentators were hyping up the Bombers the entire game. I would have been annoyed if I was a Montreal fan.

Oh how about Hm to Rose in his first start shutting down the leagues top receiver and holding him to 3 catches for 44 yards and that one catch for the majority of the yards very well could/should have been Offensive PI. -

HM to Demski for the tough running on the TD and the beautiful one handed catch. -
Non Bombers you enjoyed watching( present or past)

Huh? Marcel ruined him.. we actually started to become contenders once we brought in Lapo. It was essentially instantaneous. -

Ah yes I remember the hype on Drew Willy. He was suppose to be the next big thing! -
I agree it’s a beautiful uniform. I say this in the most unbiased way possible.

Look good, feel good… PLAY GOOD!

By far the ugliest, most horrific jersey the bombers have ever used. On a side note. Ever notice how when we went back to the classic jersey combination we started winning like the 80’s and early 90’s? Coincidence I think not

I just read that article. Much more reasonable and interesting.

That’s an awful article. Even if they win 42 percent of the time that’s close to a 50 percent chance of playing for the Grey cup opposed to having to win two games to make it to the Grey cup. If you look at those odds from purely just a statistical view that’s a 25 percent chance to make it to the Grey Cup.

There seems to be a lot of Lapo slander. I mean we know he’s not a perfect coach. But he is a good coach and he helped transform our offense and our team in general. Remember our team was 5-13 the season before Lapo came to the Bombers. He wasn’t the only reason obviously but was a part of the re emergence of our football team becoming respectable and I thought down the stretch in 2019 once we had Collaros he had some of his best play calling. Was a little conservative? Sure, is a good head coach? Well that’s yet to be determined but maybe not but he certainly had a huge impact on our team winning the grey cup in 2019.

I’ll be completely honest here. I thought we were building something here in Winnipeg. I remember this was talk about O’Shea and Walters and I absolutely wanted to keep Walters as I thought he did a fantastic job drafting and building from what was poor Canadian talent, and with O’Shea I was willing to give him a short rope in 2016. I thought he was a good players coach but wasn’t sure if he could be that Grey Cup worthy head coach. But I think we can all agree is like players, coaches and general managers can grow into their roles, bringing Lapolice in 2016 I think helped a lot as Marcel was absolutely horrendous, as it gave veteran coordinators who have been head coaches before help with O’Shea who was a first time head coach.
