  1. I said I wasn’t going to cry this year. I cried in 2019 because it was the first Grey cup in my life time. My grandpa coached provincial football and was a hero to me and he died of cancer in 2016. My dad stopped following football after that. They won several championships in midget, high school football, and coaching team Manitoba but I was with my girl friend tonight and balled my eyes out. I wish my grandpa was here to see this. So much disappointment in my life time. I love Canadian football.
  2. We’re playing for the wind in the fourth I guess
  3. If you’re taking 3’s instead of touchdowns you’re going to lose the game. Lots of time left but gotta start capitalizing
  4. Down by 3 lots of football left let’s go baby!!
  5. Evans was mentally scared against winnipeg Masoli is playing like there’s nothing to lose.
  6. Well their d line dominated our prestigious o line. We have to be better in the second half.
  7. If they changed it to four down football I would probably be done with the CFL it’s perfect the way it is. No major changes are necessary.
  8. Absolutely! I love the fact that our lines have always been a point of emphasis. I remember when Willie Jefferson signed here most people were pretty happy but I remember people wanted the money spent on a top receiver. Controlling the lines of scrimmage is the most important part of the game.
  9. Football is won in the trenches. We have the best d-line, and the best o-line in the league. It’s no coincidence we’re the best team in football.
  10. I don’t care about the Hamilton media attention. They’re at home and they have the longest Grey Cup draught. It’s a nice story. I hope the media attention goes to their head like it did in 2019 and we come out and kick them in the teeth. Having the media attention on your side is NEVER a good thing as it adds extra pressure so hopefully we just come out and do our job.
  11. ML was an outstanding football player but kind of a loser off the field I have first hand accounts of him trying to sleep with girls even though he was recently married or engaged at the time.
  12. Exactly. No one wanted to play in Winnipeg in the Tim Burke/Joe Mack era.
  13. Good for us! Loving the endless Canadian talent in the pipeline. Walters is definitely a wizard when it comes to scouting.
  14. Who cares what those clowns think. Pretty sure they all thought Hamilton was going to win in 2019 and look and see where that got them.
  15. If Kevin Glenn was 6’2 he would be in the NFL he had that awkward shot put like mechanics where the majority of the picks he threw sailed high on the receiver, if he was taller he could have had a throwing motion where the ball could be going downwards. But he could really throw the ball.
  16. I don’t follow college football too closely what’s the odds of him coming up here next year or is he going to get a look in the NFL?
  17. I got covid in March I was more worried about dying from a heart attack or blood clot to be honest. However with more data out I felt comfortable making the decision to get vaccinated, but I can see and empathize why people make the decisions that they do and we don’t have to respect it or agree but I think it’s important to understand.
  18. 100 percent Mike I totally agree with you. With the history of Pfizer, and the issues of potential myocarditis caused by the vaccine, especially reported in the demographic of 18-30 year olds(I’m 30) and and in men particularly I did all the research and looked into the studies I was quite worried because even though i take very good care of myself I went on a stress leave briefly in 2020 and heart palpitations were a common problem due to high stress at the time so my heart health and my stress levels were two things I really made an effort to prioritize on. I did end up getting the vaccine back in June but I won’t ever judge someone who has a legitimate reason for why they won’t get vaccinated it’s not a black and white case for every single person I had to make a decision for myself personally and it worried me a lot at the time.
  19. Randall and Maurice Leggett really helped turn our d around.
  20. I’m surprised how enamoured they are with CF on rider fans. They think he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. Saying he’s way better then Collaros lol! Funny group of fans those people are.
  21. He’s also been a staple stone on our line for 8 years. The kind of guy you can put anywhere on the line and he will be good to great, and he’s Canadian. He’s been a very important part of the success of our o-line.
  22. Hey I’m perfectly fine winning for the next 20 years.. I’m not ungrateful!!
  23. I would love to have the time to go through those old threads from 2013-2015. Fun times and a lot of interesting hot takes when your team isn’t very good. Winning is almost boring 😊
  24. It has to be said the job Walters has done is phenomenal. We had the worst o-line and the least amount of Canadian talent of any roster in the CFL when he took over. Now we have the best of both. Just goes to show life is a marathon not a sprint!
  25. It’s not perfect but I feel like video replay was much better 10 plus years ago and that was with the dated equipment. The last couple of years it’s honestly tough to find any consistency and to even get the play correct. It’s sad that it’s seemed to being going backwards not forwards.
