I wonder how many HOF coaches have never had a HOF calibre QB though.. -

Yes Trestman is a very good coach.. I don't think anyone is disputing that. -

I think his demeanour is comparable to O'sheas. The one difference is Trestman is just so well spoken. You can tell he's highly intelligent. -
Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

Sure.. just not here. He may or may not be a good coach. Tough to say but Ottawas secondary was brutal this season. -

It's almost If though you protect your QB good things happen to your offense! Besides the QB position id argue the offensive line is the most import aspect to a teams success in football. -

He wasn't great but look who was throwing to him. He still had over 700 receiving yards which would put him third behind Adams and Harris, but ahead of Denmark, and Dressler in yards. He will certainly neee to prove himself next season so I wouldn't mind bringing him if the price is right. He was good in BC and great in Ottawa.. -

Yes but don't underestimate the Trestman effect.. -
I can definitely see Collaros back in Toronto.

Hahaha practise roster player and thinks he deserves the world! I have respect for a guy like Ricky Williams who was legitimately a super star in college and at one point one of the best running backs coming up here in his prime because he simply wanted to play football. If he put his ego in check he could make a good career in the CFL and make good money doing it. Oh well enjoy Walmart!

Blue Bomber Free Agent List
Arnold_Palmer replied to sweep the leg's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If we could pick up Demski in the off season and a guy like Ernest Jackson I would be a happy camper. Manny is wishful thinking.. but a core of Jackson, Adams, Dressler, Demski, Coates/Wolitarsky would be a big upgrade already. -
Confirmed he played with a broken finger in his throwing hand. That's our QB ladies and gentlemen. Kudos to him for being a warrior and playing through the pain. I really want to see him hoist a grey cup in a blue and gold uniform.

Fingers crossed. He'll certainly generate some interest though however. -
Blue Bomber Free Agent List

I'd be okay with moving on from a lot of these guys.. I'd love to see Hardick and Bryant back on offence, and the trio of Randle, Heath, and Leggett (assuming he is healthy) I'd also bring back Wild, Dressler, Medlock, and Westerman only if they decided to take paycuts because quite frankly they weren't worth their salary this season. Everyone else on this list I'm in different about. I wouldn't mind have Flanders back either but he may be looking for a starting position on another team and I wouldn't blame him for wanting the opportunity to start.. I didn't even include Bond because i assume he's NFL bound. -
Imagine how many points we'd score if we had a receiving core. Ours is arguably the worst in the league..
-
In 15 games all season only 4 games have we not picked up a single point.. that's a good stat. Especially after a slow start to the season. We need to beat a team like Arizona at home and get the two points.
-
I'd take Dressler and Medlock back if the price is right. Obviously if they're expecting to be paid like they were this season I think it's time to move on..
-
There should be some interesting available free agent receivers... I hate that we will probably have to over pay for an American receiver but our scouting has proved at this point that we do need to do that if we want to give Nichols the weapons he needs to be successful.

We'll always have a chance win a good QB Nichols gives our team automatic stability no matter what. Hopefully we can get him the weapons he deserves next year and we'll come back better than ever.
-
To put it into perspective.. we went 12-6, we hosted a home playoff game and unfortunately we played the hottest team in the league heading into the playoffs. It's unfortunate to be one and done but it was a good season, and I think we're a few small steps away from being even better next season. overall it was a great season and I'm already excited for next year.

Sam Hurl was terrible in 2015. I thought he was going to be gone last year but they decided to keep him mostly as a ST player and someone they could throw in, in case of injury.. Fine he was over paid but he could play that role for our team no problem, but the fact that he was our starting MLB in 2017 with zero competition is absolutely mind blowing.
-
That or we're rushing four with eight in coverage and somehow a guy is wide open, no one within fifteen yards of him.. just a brutal effort and game plan by the bend and break defense.
-
It was a fumble.. by a split second.
-
Can't give Dressler the nod. He fumbled at a crucial moment. Coates was likely our best receiver today and although he played good today if he is your best play maker you're probably not going to win too many football games.
-
It was absolutely the turning point in the game. I really didn't like the call. You know if it works it's probably the turning point in a positive way but at that point it was a 1 point game and there really was no need for it. It was either going to give us momentum or be disasterious.. we gambled and we failed at a time when the game was in the balance and there wasn't a need for a big shake up. However the defense was awful today and there's no excuse for that either.
