Is he any good..?

But how can this be? Riders aren't number one.. At 6-6 they're surely the most superior team in the CFL ( well according to some rider fans that is)

Who has the better team: Calgary or Winnipeg?
Arnold_Palmer replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
They didn't look disciplined against the Riders. They took a few stupid penalties.. But yes they don't typically turn the ball over a lot, they're defense is really good , ST's on par with us and can't count out Bo or Messam.. Just a really well balanced team. -
What will it take to beat Edmonton?

What will it take for the Edmonton Eskimoes.. Losers of 5 straight to beat the 9-3 Winnipeg Blue Bombers -
Stamps vs Hillbillies.. Who you pulling for?
Arnold_Palmer replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There's people on the rider board proclaiming they're one of the two best teams in the league up there with Calgary. Delusional bunch they are.. -

Not impressed by Bo and the offense -

Quietly our defense has only allowed 14.5 points a game the last two weeks. Our secondary has been a bright spot. If we can get Poop back into the lineup, suddenly with how good our offense has been I don't feel too worried about our defense.. -

What if I told you Westerman was one sack away from being tied for the sack lead in the CFL.. He was doing his job just fine! -

9-3 feels pretty good. Game in the rain could have given Ottawa the advantage but we controlled the game start to finish. -

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition
Arnold_Palmer replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Consistency? He's averaging 5.7 yards per carry with only a long of 18 so it's not like he had a big run and his average is inflated. He also averages just under 11 yards out of the back field which is great for a running back. Again the guy is just a play maker and as much as there wasn't really room for him he earned his touches. -

Flanders is such a gamer. All he's done since he's been here is making plays when given the opportunity. He was good last year when taking over for an injured Harris, but this year to start the season he couldn't get into the lineup I'm sure it was frustrating for him but instead of taking his ball and going home like another Bomber reciever he stayed patient and he's now a staple stone in the Blue Bomber offense. I love this. -
I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't make some moves to get better down the stretch. Every teams making them except us. We've been lucky to avoid injuries but we'll need that extra push. Especially with Westerman and his salary off the salary cap there's no excuses. I'm disappointed we lost Thorpe but I understand why he did what he did in this situation.

He probably got tired of playing musical chairs in the line up. He probably should/could get another chance on another CFL roster.

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition

If it was in Ottawa I'd say we win by about a touchdown but since we're at home we should win by two scores plus. This team's mental toughness has got a lot better in the last year or so.. But if we can't beat Ottawas third string QB we really don't deserve a home playoff game so I fully expect us to take this one by 14 plus. -
The way I see it is we have the best offense in the league, the best special teams, and we create the most turnovers. We absolutely have a shot as GC contenders.

I want first place and it's not out of sight. First round bye and home field advantage would be huge.

WAIT how does Masoli have the CFL record for my consecutive completions with (23). He's actually pretty damn terrible. -

Bridge was pretty good. Can't argue with 3 touchdown passes, and not turning the ball over. He did enough to win. Although as a team if they played against a good QB they would have been in trouble. -

Doesn't surprise me about Johnson. Because he's so small teams always try the jump ball against him, but in his defense he's been pretty good this season. Obviously still athletic enough to beat those big receivers to the ball.
