  1. You would have to think unless the ti cats get red hot this is Kent Austins last season in Hamilton.
  2. Ottawa hasn't won a game. 0-2-1
  3. It's three weeks into the season. Every team has had their share of ups and downs.
  4. SJ Green is going to lead the CFL in receiving if he stays healthy this year.
  5. Remember when we were 1-4 to start the season and we ended up 11-7 last season? Trust the process. There's a lot of room to improve but it's a long season and were not that far away.
  6. There's never a bad day for some pints
  7. I just realized. No Charleston Hughes tonight for Calgary. This is good news for Matt Nichols.
  8. Very excited. I have the day off from work. I just finished BBQ'ing some steak, about to crack open a beer, perfect day for some football!
  9. That game was IN Calgary. We don't win their too much either.
  10. Haha! We watched the game on TV on Canada day. She wasn't so bad. Hoping she'll keep me in line so that I'm not spending so much time at the Rum Hut!
  11. Confirmed. Mike Kelly is the greatest head coach we've ever had. EDIT: that was actually his first career win 42-30!
  12. Taking my girl friend to her first Bomber game tomorrow night! Should be a good one.
  13. 12.5 is reasonable. McDavid is the best player in the league. Crosby at 8.7 million has to be the best value contract in the NHL allows Pittsburgh to build a team around them. With McDavid and Drai due for a big pay day it unfortunately handcuffs the Oilers a little bit.
  14. Not sure but I like it! Keep em coming Jonsie
  15. We have had some terrible leadership here in the last 20 years. Burke, Daley, and Reinbold were all terrible. Kelly, and Berry were mediocre. Richie was good, and the jury is still out on O'Sheas legacy although I feel good about him as our head coach.
  16. Toronto is a very diverse city. A lot of second generation immigrants so they have no root to the CFL. I do agree Toronto is a huge bandwagon city though, because how big around the world MLB and NBA is it's easy for them to get big crowds, but they don't truly care about the product.
  17. I don't think it's just Calgary. I think it's every major CFL city. When the global scale for the NFL is so huge and fantasy football is popular for the 18-35 range it gets people really engaged into the game. I'm 26 and I can say I'm easily the biggest Bomber fan in our group of friends who are all huge sports people.
  18. Mason Nesbitt - Just talked to @CowboyAthletics and @GopherFootball product Drew Wolitarsky. He's excited to join CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers in about a week.
  19. I'm going to be completely honest. I thought Nichols was a little off last night. Especially early in the game, but to his credit he played an amazing stretch where they scored on SIX STRAIGHT possessions. He turned a rough start into one of his overall games of his career. ( career high 4 TD's) the thing I see out of Nichols is that once he gets into grove with his receiving core I think he's going to have an outstanding season and prove a lot of critics wrong. Heck I think he strives off of it.
  20. If Saskatchewan would have out played us in OT they would have won the football game.
  21. 18-9 to be exact. More importantly.. 10-3 as a starter. The fact that we're arguing that he could have had 5,6 touchdowns last night makes me realize how much stability we have at the QB position.
  22. 1. Justin Medlock- low key our most valuable player last season. 5/5 field goals tonight, 4/4 on the extra point. The guy is worth every penny were paying him. 2. Weston Dressler- 6 catches for 124 yards and 2 TD's. Too small to be a reciever in Jones's offense though 3. Matt Nichols- 331 yards and 4 TD's. Can't ask for much more productive from the QB position, although the scary thing is he definitely could have had 5 or 6. Missed a few throws tonight. HM: Hurl, Randle, Adams, Alexander, Carmichael
  23. You mean 17 points in the first quarter right?
  24. 900k to be a "good guy in the locker"
  25. Morrissey - TroubaEnstrom - ByfuglienKulikov - Myers I like our D core heading into next season. I also like the signing of Mason. Two years of steady goaltending, and hopefully Hellebuyck can steal the job from him.
