Hope we get to see Adams and Gurley on the field on a few packages. I understand the loyalty to a guy like Smith but I think our receiving core is the most dangerous with Adams, Gurley, Denmark, and Dressler on the field at the same time.

Interesting that his college stats seemed to drop after his freshman and sophomore year. Also not sure if it's a typo but he seemed to go 4/4 with 4 TD passes in his college career -

I kid you not..On the rider board that's just the general thought. They're the greatest five win team in the CFL history. Don't believe me? They'll tell you themselves! -
What happened to that rider fan who was mad that a poster on MBB suggested that the ALS could POSSIBLY beat the riders.

It's funny how short sighted some people can be.. Yes its one winning season in three years. Yes O'shea and even Walters were on the hot seat coming into this season. This is year three of the regime. Keep in mind when Walters took over Max Hall was our starting QB, Kohlert was our best Canadian player (and we had zero canadian depth) we had a terrible offensive line, and miles away from being a competitive team. Fast forward three years later.. We've built through the draft, our Canadian content is much improved. Our team depth is deeper then i've ever seen it. Including the early 2000's days. Sure the top end talent was higher, but it's been evident this season whenever someone goes down, someone steps up and makes plays. I think Walters has earned his contract extension. This is year three, and finally his total "vision" for the team. With coach O'shea he's always been a well respected coach, but being respected doesn't win football games. I've noticed down the stretch this season with the trick plays at the right time, the proper use of challenges, i've seen him grow into a good football coach. If O'shea and Walters inherited a good football club and we saw the record dip from year one to years two and three I wouldn't extend. But O'shea and Walters inherited an organization that was a complete mess top to bottom and they're finally changing that culture here.

Health Canada has a very strict guideline in what they allow in supplements. (more so then America) Yes a supplement brand could potentially get by regulations by lying whats really in the supplement but a company like Popeyes only deals with reputable Supplement brands and the chances of that are slim to none. Any company like Jack3d eventually got busted 3-4 years ago and you're not likely to see this happen again. I manage a Popeyes and I could tell you we are very careful in what we bring in. Our integrity is on the line as well. I would have to assume it's recreational use. Young pro athletes with money who want to unwind from work. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. -
Doug Brown Final 2016 Ring of Honour Inductee
Arnold_Palmer replied to Rich's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I have nothing against the Doug Brown induction. He's one of the best Canadian players of all time, certainly the best DT of his era, one of the bright spots on some Mediocore Bomber teams, always gave 100 percent on the field, and is still a big part of the city working in Winnipeg. Like it or not a lot of younger fans go to football games and choosing a popular player from recent memory will help sell tickets. Some of the older greats will get their due eventually. -
Wait how does Paredes have more convert misses then field goal misses? Very strange

Ah yes 2008. Kevin Glenn's first "last game" with us. I was there. Ricky Ray nickle and dimed it all game long. We were no match. -
I've said it from the start. This was one of Winnipeg's BEST offseason moves. Medlock has been money his whole career. It's nearly an automatic three every time he kicks. We haven't this kind of consistency.. Well ever.

Matt Nichols.. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. 2 TD's, 0 turn overs, ( one TD catch) 233 yards passing. Jonathon Jennings with the sexy stats.. 422 yards passing but two INT's and zero touchdowns. Nichols wins the game, Jenning's takes the loss. Managing the game and avoiding turn overs will get you win 9 times out of 10. Really impressed by the play of Nichols right now.

You never know. Hamilton at home in a best of one. Anyone can win. Wouldn't count on Edmonton winning twice on the road in the playoffs. -

The east is a joke. No surprise Hamilton is going all in. Secure that first place in the East and get the bye heading into the Eastern finals. Even with how much Hamilton is under achieving they have a good opportunity to advance to the Grey Cup. -
MDMA lol Enjoying the Winnipeg night life a little too much.

Patience is a virtue. Not looking so good for the Argonauts.

Excellent signing. Now if Adams ever gets healthy.. Watch out! Would love to see a core of Adams, Gurley, Denmark, Dressler and Kohlert/FDG Now that would be scary!

Trouba wants out (Trouba has signed)
Arnold_Palmer replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Unrelated to the matter, But its looking like another year of Chris Thorburn, Mark Stuart, and Ondrej Pavelec. It's disappointing because there was a lot of competition of younger talented players who could play the bottom six role. It's disappointing that our best goaltender will probably start the season in the AHL, and it's disappointing because of Jacob Trouba holding out we'll probably see Mark Stuart eating up minutes as a third pairing guy/PK player. -
In Case You Missed It - Anonymous Thoughts...

You mean how the defense has been inconsistent for 3 weeks? Matt Nichols is doing his part. 65% passing over the past three games with 5 TD's and only 2 INT. The offense has averaged 35.3 points over the last three games which should be enough to win ANY football game if the defense is doing their part. Instead we've had Dan Lefevour torch us, and Mitchell and Reilly have their way with our secondary. But sure lets take shots at our QB. -

Good move for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. This makes them a better team. Adding a game breaking NI insures they can go with four imports at the reciever position. -
Every team is making moves. Would be extremely disappointed if we didn't bring in one of Gurley,Elliot, or Hazelton. At 8-6 this is the home stretch. While every team is getting better we can't stand pat.

Willy helping Winnipeg secure the number one overall draft pick.

I think it also takes a lot of pressure off the offense knowing that anything within 50 yards are essentially an automatic 3 points. Not as many throws into double coverage trying to generate points.
