I would say if there was any player who was likely to ignore the $ to come back here it would be Strevy.

He shouldn't be throwing except on the odd gadget play. The QB room could have been a huge consideration in this as well. We don't know what Prukop's value in there was. Perhaps, it was very high.

Brady was DEFINITELY the best option....heck even running is probably better he just needed to make one guy miss....and he was locked in on the deep route. Terrible decision...no doubt about it. He might be....he might not be. You are not concerned at all that a guy brought in to be our SY specialist was unable to do the job a month into the season? Look, I like Pigrome, and he may go onto greener pastures but at the end of the day he could not do the one single task we needed him to do this year.

The way I see it is that the Bombers have now seen Pigrome for about 6 weeks. They have a pretty good evaluation on him, and have seen his level of progression and his fit in the locker room. They decided to bring back Prukop. Kind of says it all. It is a trio that is the envy of every other CFL club, if they have half a noodle for a brain. No QB trio played better last year. None. If I could pick anyone's QB lineup to build a Grey Cup winning team it would be the Bombers. That's not me being a homer either....just straight up fact.

I've heard similar rumblings of this sort in Canada about governments trying to influence the courts to protect politically friendly billion dollar corporations. I hope your disdain is as strong in that case as it appears to be in this one.

Who says he bailed on us and who says his interception was unscripted? It was an awful decision, but it was obviously an option on the play call. He made a terrible read, and a terrible throw....but unscripted? I don't think so. Also, as bad as that interception was it was one of a dozen plays that cost us the Grey Cup.

We made a short term move here is all I was getting at. The Bombers obviously felt that the short term gain of Prukop outweighed the long term upside of Pigrome....OR they feel extremely confident they could have both....if in fact he does go to our PR. I just don't see the down side of bringing him back. The guy is an excellent short yardage QB. A lot of people are crapping on his excellent season last year because for some inexplicable reason our coaching staff had him taking 20 snaps in the Grey Cup at QB1 for us. That isn't a fair assessment of what he brings to the table.

The defence is still a work in progress, particularly the secondary, where injuries are hurting us badly. On offence, I just chalk it up to a bad week of preparation and film study more than anything.

Smart short term move. I really am intrigued by Pigrome as well, but at the end of the day if the Bombers feel his upside as an actual QB is lower than Brown's than really bringing back Prukop who runs our short game very well is a no brainer. A lot of people here are thinking Pigrome had the tools to progress to QB1 someday, obviously the Bombers do not share that evaluation.

I kinda thought this would happen, in fact, I predicted it a couple months ago. It's a shame about Pigrome but I guess there is still a chance he ends up on the PR.

I've seen some incredible performances from Vernon Adams in the past few years, only to be followed by long stretches of mediocrity. 8 years in a tiger doesn't change his stripes. Hell in Montreal he lit us up really bad one game too. I am not a VAJ believer. History tells me not to be.

True...but I am yet to see that game happen in June. I've seen a lot of Grey Cup championship teams get clobbered early in the season when having a bad game. BC is temporarily the top dog. The cream will rise to the top.

Winnipeg is still the tops of the West until proven otherwise. One bad game does not make them anything less or any other team anything more. If that were the case then Hamilton would have been Grey Cup champs last year after the butt kicking they gave us one game. Sorry but a VAJ led team will never be consistent enough to dethrone us. He is streaky, always has been and always will be. There is a reason he is a 8 year QB in this league with only one full season as a starter.

Whatever, you keep looking at the world in your orange tinted glasses that we all know you wear. Deny it if you want, but every post you make about the BC Lions confirms your bias. You have to either be a Lions fan, or sniffing glue to think that the Lions just outright beat us even though we were playing our best ball. Just the stupidest take ever that is just far out of the realm of reality. We didn't play well, and some of that was due to the Lions, and the biggest part of it was because we collectively were out of synch.

Totally agree. He played very well last year for us. I really like Pigrome but it is concerning to me that we still don't trust him enough to be our 3rd down QB.

The story anyone with half a brain will tell is how the Lions played their very best against a team that really didn't show up ready, prepared, or motivated to do the same. Any given Sunday as they say. The Bombers took them lightly and played that way and found out they are a better team than the one they prepared for. I have absolutely zero doubt in my mind that this is the last time BC will beat us this year.

I could find legit uses for many slurs. Context is everything. That being said, native isn't so much a slur as it is just the incorrect term. I am fine being described as a native but I prefer Indigenous, as it is more accurate. It's not enough to recognize it happened. Recognizing it happened and that it was wrong, and created severe damage is the path forward.

They are close...but not the same as the real McCoy. Spenst is excellent frozen pizza. Expernsive by frozen pizza standards but really good. Giant Tiger carries them.

The Bombers haven't faced adversity in so long that when they didn't get off to a red hot start things snowballed in a very negative way. I hope Rose comes back soon. He is a leader in that secondary and is extremely good at communicating and getting guys to where they need to be pre-snap. I could buy that except that our older players, with the exception of our OL, were not the problem last night.....and our OL was just absolutely dominant the last two weeks before. I don't buy that age suddenly caught up to Neuf, Yoshi, and Bryant in the span of 5 days when the far more likely scenario is that collectively they just weren't prepared for what BC game planned. It was an awesome game plan by the BC DC. Hats off to him, he had our guys confused and off balance all night.

Lawrence was our worst DB last night. Not a good game from him.

I think he hesitated when trying to locate the ball as well. Definitely there was a mix up by somebody. Story of the day really. Guys just making mental errors in every aspect yesterday. Haven't seen that in a while. Schoen didn't practice this week, and neither did BO who failed twice to recognize or pick up the blitz. I now wonder if some of our guys took the week off from the film room too. Not trying to cast shade on our players, they are young and it's hard to grind every week, but man there were so many mental gaffes this week.
