The trenches gas out faster because the guys in them are big men carrying extra pounds. Fielding punts is a different skill than fielding kickoffs but it's more of a mental thing because we don't have fair catch. You gotta field it and get your eyes upfield ASAP or you will be road kill. Some guys struggle with that. Also punts are generally coming down more vertically because of hang time. That makes it more challenging as well. The depth chart I was expecting. Hopefully, Grant is ready to go soon.

There is always the chance that Montreal just poops the bed and plays a really bad game as well, but if Montreal is playing as it has been and the Riders play as they have been this game should be a pretty easy Montreal victory. For sure. I was really surprised when they signed Walker in the first place. He looked done last year. Definitely is a no-brainer to keep their young guys.

I was pretty excited and so were a lot of other Bomber fans. I think it was your fan base calling it a desperation move. Bomber fans fully realized we were a hit away from McGuire leading us into the playoffs and most of us were clamoring for a vet backup to be brought in. If the Collaros trade thread were brought up right now you would see most Bomber fans were quite alright with the trade. Over at Riderfans you guys were cackling with glee that we picked up the QB you guys were blaming for the Riders not being able to hoist the Grey Cup. The 2nd biggest highlight of 2019 was that we won the cup with the QB the Riders were too stupid to keep. Long live the JOD era!

It was a pretty ticky tack call. When a penalty like that is called I think it's garbage. Had no effect whatsoever on the play and is pretty subjective imo. Lean your head and you see it differently? Don't call it. Just a flag happy official imo.

They weren't gassed until late 4th when we allowed Ottawa to dominate TOP and were running a tempo offence. Up until that point we dominated TOP and were not gassed. Tempo gasses defences no matter what your depth is because you CAN'T make substitutions. How pray tell would depth have helped when we couldn't get them on the field?

That's true. So many reasons a team loses any game. To pin it on one thing, fairly minor roster management miscues, is not really a fair assessment. At the end of the day we left points off the board, gave some away, and didn't close the game like a winner should. I thought it was Maruo..but same difference. Also Cole did play a lot of snaps that game and took a very stupid and costly penalty that extended an Ottawa drive in the 4th.

OK...so you would have dressed an extra MIKE? Or an extra WIL? Our DL were grasping at air because we were blitzing that entire time and not respecting his legs. Who would you have dressed that eliminates Biggie being gassed, Briggs being not a great WIL, or the secondary playing soft? I am certainly not going to argue that our DL wasn't gassed and substitutions there may have helped, but there was far more wrong with our D than that in our final 3, right from playcalling on down.

I'm not sure about that. Our secondary, where we had a ton of depth, started playing soft. Our Lbers where depth shouldn't be an issue, were whiffing. Not sure what DL depth would have done against bad D play calling. Fair enough
