We were protecting a lead. Will likely be like that Sunday again.
-
If Zac's deep ball accuracy is our biggest concern on Sunday we will win easy. No one throws as good a deep ball as he does. We have just been spoiled the last couple years that he was otherworldly at it and this year he is merely the best in the league.
-
I'd say this year would classify as dominant as well. 1st in just about every meaningful statistical category, 1st in the West, and onto the Grey Cup with a dominant victory over our next closest rival. I guess we could have been more dominant, but that's really splitting hairs as far as I am concerned. 2021 and 2023 can end with the exact same outcome. Not sure how they are not remotely the same. I mean we like to wax poetic about 2021 because we didn't drop a deuce in a game or two but our win % this year is virtually the same and our margin of victory is better.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Of course all of that is going to occur. JK man, but yea I'd say those are some safe bets to make prediction wise. Have to be a fool to think BO and KL won't be ballin' in a Grey Cup.
-
Improv. It's his safety valve and QBs are taught to eat it and take the sack unless it's a sure thing. Or perhaps you are not making your point clear? Are you referring to sports books? If so, he is right they hate to be wrong but occasionally they take a bad beat and that is actually good for business in the long run.

We don't game plan for him to shoot the lights out. It's straight up bully ball and it works.
-
I just want to remind everyone that the last time we played them Zac had a disastrous first half tossing 3 INTs one of them a pick 6. We went on to win by a 30 point spread holding them to 17. In the game in Montreal, Zac played damn near perfect but just game managed us to a very score is deceiving 17-3 victory where we simply bully balled the clock away the entire 2nd half. In two games this year the Montreal offence has generated 2FG, and TD and that is with significant amounts of garbage time.
-
Arblows also beat themselves really.
-
Yes, if IFS and BUTs were coconuts we'd all be living in Hawaii. If Calgary had a better QB, if BC had Rourke, If Edmonton had..well a lot of things, if the RIders weren't lost in the woods management wise etc, etc, Montreal has who they have and because of that they are not a very good offensive club. Unless we **** the bed this will be a 20 point spread. All ZC has to do is manage the game effectively and we win. That pots us 25 points and there is no hope in hell that Montreal can do that offensively.
-
Sometimes they carry momentum forward. We will need to squash any good will they are feeling right off the bat and then it should be a cake walk from there.
-
If we can get out to an early 4 point lead that should be enough to ice the game from that point.
-
If CK just eliminates the turnovers that were unforced, and follows his blockers on SY the Argos win that game, Simple as that. Fajardo and the offence contributed nothing to that win. For sure. The ONLY path to victory for the Als is if the Bombers hand them the game. We don`t need to do anything special, just allow no cheap turnovers or big plays and we will win easily and comfortably.

That`s what she said. -
Do they...I mean they used to...but Stanback has been kinda half arsed this year.
-
Quite honestly I think the Bombers defensive effort last week was more impressive than Montreal`s. I give Montreal full credit but they were the beneficiary of an epic QB meltdown and the giveaways (not takeaways) that came with that. We completely and utterly shut down a more potent BC offence for the entire game giving them virtually no opportunities to score, while sacking their QB 10 times. Montreal had zero sacks, and really not much pressure on CK. He just simply could not throw straight, SY standing upright, and had fumbleitis. VA just had nothing...and no chance. CK had opportunities and squandered them.
-
We have the best secondary in the league. BY FAR and it`s not even close. 2011 Bombers had a way better offence than the 2023 Als....but yea it was still the defence that dragged them to the GC. I`ll take 14-4 with a loss against someone else other than the LD loss.

Yea...I was screaming at the TV in real time when it happened and fumed over that for a while...but upon rewatch...not interference. -
Bad luck guy. Cut him loose or sage him. Sorry 17to85..that's just the way it goes sometimes. That sounds awesome..my wife would love it too. That sounds awesome..my wife would love it too.

It won't matter. My wife will have me wrapped in a sheet because I get so worked up and my food tends to be worn more than eaten. lol. I will start the day in my Milt jersey though as it is the only white one I have.

East Final GDT - Argonauts vs Alouettes

I don't care who you are and what your odds of catching the guy are, I always taught the players I coached that if we are in the chase position we are going to make that sucker run for his TD. We will make the play as tough as we can no matter what. Giving up is for losers. What if the guy tripped on his shoelaces and we weren't there to tag him down. -
GDT - Western Final - Bombers vs Lions

It isn't a set play but it is a set receiver formation. It requires luck for that formation to work and anyone with even an ounce of football knowledge will tell you that they don't realistically go for a hail mary with anything more than a slim hope of success in their mind. Credit VA for getting out there, it was a long throw but after it left his fingers a ton of luck was needed. McInnis was the set trailer on the play and there is usually another receiver behind the scrum as well...both hoping that the ball gets swatted their way. It's a very low % play, and rightfully so. Anyone saying it was executed perfectly is disregarding the fact the play is actually named hail mary because you need divine intervention for it to work. -
Having 3/4 of your away games in a short driving distance doesn't hurt either. I remember ex-Bomber Craig Newman telling me that the hardest part about away games is trying to sleep in the hotel the night before. He said you just never get a good sleep no matter what.

Yea, I guess we shall see. I honestly don't see Walters going anywhere until after 2025. I think they all bought into that time line. -
OOO...those would go great with that bacon dip. Yum.

I've heard rumblings of what you are referring to, but I have it on good authority that this rumor does not have much legs or has been way overstated by some at the very least. Heard that a few people who started circulating this rumor did so with an agenda in mind. I heard this from someone with a front row seat to all of this.
