It was time to move on and go younger. I like Darvin a lot, but he was starting to decline in production and reliability. Hard to argue the Bombers did the wrong thing when the move opened the door for Schoen. I suppose....although I would argue the start of main camp would be the time to do it as we will be releasing a bunch of guys prior.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope of getting McGough. There was an interview with Kyle a couple years ago stating that they really like McGough but he isn't very interested in the CFL. Things can change, of course, as opportunities dry up but I think as long as one of the USFL or XFL will hire him that is where he will go. I think you are vastly under rating Prukop's ability to run. He is a very dynamic runner and it won't be that easy to find someone as good as him at it. I do agree that he contains no upside as a potential starter, but Kyle W has indicated he doesn't really care about that and wants a specialist at 3rd string. Prukop is as good as it gets as a specialist.

Sorry, I need to protect my mental wellness. I couldn't embrace it then, and I still can't. lol. I was a huge proponent of hiring Kelly before it happened, and what happened after we actually did has left me with PTSD. lol. I could handle the incompetence of Mack...at least it was professional and not a gong show.

Personally, I wouldn't want either guy doing short yardage. Rather have a 3rd string guy in there doing it. That being said, I still think we see Prukop back this season.

I'm not against having as many O'Shea's around as possible, I just see danger in a perceived notion of nepotism. Handled properly it should be a non-issue.

Will other players see it that way if it happens. That's my worry. Look, maybe this is just a nothing burger and MOS and JR just want to spend some time together on the turf and the Bombers said sure. I'm not suggesting that the players necessarily care that the Bombers signed the coaches son, but there will be those whose eyebrows will be raised if he is on the fringe and kept. Signed as a FA, so I believe he does.

Sometimes sack totals can be deceiving though. Sometimes a guy is high up in the stats because his defence is on the field way too much. Just saying...not always the case, but it does happen.

Rich, I am as guilty as anyone else on here and quite frankly I agree with the premise that political discussions should be shut down on here. I troll this thread mainly because I've watched a lot of people get bullied and called names on here and it is gross. It is not a respectful conversation in any way, shape, or form. Lately I have been trying to get this point across by simply responding exactly the same way back to certain posters. Honestly..kill the politics threads. Meh..I got my big boy pants on. Biden and Trudeau's scandals are well documented. We could start with SNC-Lavalin, Aga Khan, WE charities, the Trudeau foundation, Chinese interference cover up...then go onto statements made by members of his own caucus such as JWR, Bill Morneau, and others. we could talk about CSIS whistle-blowers telling us that the PM knew about election interference and did nothing....and so on and so on...but you either are drinking the Trudeau kool-aid that there is nothing to see, or you don't want to hear it. Either way, it seems pointless for me to try to convince you so I will not. You have your opinion I have mine. I believe that Trudeau is both unethical and corrupt based on the patterns that have been clearly demonstrated and re-inforced by the ethics commissioner as well.

Like I said, I have not heard a costed plan from anyone federally or provincially yet. Fair enough. Just would like to point out that dissenting opinions on this thread get a lot of responses that would go against the code of conduct. We all have our big boy pants on here though but it would be awfully unfair for someone to be threatened with a time out for calling someone a Karen when responding to a post calling them an expletive pizza cutter.

I am unclear why you guys think it's acceptable to bully others on these political threads but when someone speaks out against it they are the bad guy? Read the words that are said by posters like bluegold84. If people are deserving of timeouts for name calling that is where a mod should start right there. If that's not enforced but calling someone out for doing it is, then this is not a forum I would want to be part of anyway. However, I believe RIch is a little better than that.

Nah...it's more about pointing out the Karen mentality presented against anyone outside the echo chamber. Thanks for illustrating this so well. I just find it hilarious how anyone is treated that does not fall into the political thread's group think by some of members here. It is really strange.

No doubt. I am yet to see an opposition party table policies, or costed plans, in many many years. I find it ironic that people are criticizing the federal CPC for not doing it, but are fully on board with our provincial NDP who are even more vague on what policies and plans they would bring to the table.

It has been a left wing strategy to ignore the stink on their side of the spectrum for as long as I have lived. So, yes it is true. It's garbage all around. I find it almost farcical how you guys can demonize the right while propping up pseudo-criminals like Biden and Trudeau. It is really gross.

It's a problem in every province and at the federal level as well. There just aren't really any good choices anymore. They all stink. In Alberta's case, it's not surprising, it is exceptionally hard to undo memories of the boom and the growth and prosperity therein and most of that is still attributed to Smith's party even if she is batshit nuts herself. Albertans want a return to 20 years ago when Klein was in power, oil was running out of every orifice, and everyone was flush with cash because of that. I don't think they see Notley as being particularly capable of providing that.

As someone who likes to poke the bear over at the political forum for kicks, I can get part of what you are saying. However, just like the political forum arguments, assuming what you believe to be fact is bad faith arguing in itself. Opinions, and belief in them, does not make them factual. Fact of the matter, is that most of us don't know all the facts on most matters....but what fun would a forum be if most people were self aware enough to realize that.
