  1. You think hurling insults makes anyone change their mind? You are the Liberals worst enemy in that regard. It just re-inforces what many feel about the Liberals right now. That they are self indulgent, spoiled, corrupt, and their only defence is to hurl insults and play identity politics. People are tired of it. Hmmm..you've changed your mind that elections will determine who is right then? Good to know. I won't point out your flip flop because I agree with you. That being said, yes Trudeau was obviously the right choice for enough of the electorate for the past 10 years. He was never my choice, but I defer to the results and won't whine about them. The people spoke, while being a pretty underwhelming mandate the past 2 elections he did keep the tag of being our PM. Don't see that happening next election.
  2. Imagine Polievre being considered the top choice for PM in the country right now according to NANOS. If this is spite, then I am most certainly not alone. Besides, it is almost a certainty that the next election will result in a minority government. If PP is as bad as Trudeau he won't last long. I am not thrilled with the prospect of a CPC majority under PP, but I can certainly live with a CPC minority if it means the end of Trudeau's career.
  3. Really dislike them. Not going to apologize for it. They represent everything that I dislike about modern day politics, particularly Justin Trudeau. If the Liberals dump Trudeau and bring in a quality leader of integrity, I would probably change my stance. I could support Garneau for PM. I like a strong Alberta. I don't feel enough is being done to ensure that on a Federal level. Oil is not going to be obsolete for another 40-50 years no matter how much the environmentalists would like to see it gone. I think it was epically stupid for Trudeau to turn down Germany and Japan on natural gas as well.
  4. I am not saying life with the CPC under PP is going to make life better. I just cannot stomach rewarding a government as corrupt as the Liberals currently are with another term, and quite frankly the CPC cannot do anything worse than what the Liberals are doing. I want to see an increase in oil production in Alberta, I want a government that will reduce spending, and I want a tired and increasingly corrupt government ushered out. These are the things I am willing to vote for, and you can all dislike it if you want. Won't change my X on election day.
  5. That is possible I suppose.
  6. Yep laying off 6000 people tends to bring quality control down. Weird that the number of new subscribers is way up since his takeover. Morbid fascination I guess.
  7. Probably hear a ton about it from XFL/USFL media too....unfortunately they don't have any....because no one cares.
  8. Yes, tough break for Chad. However, if he was available I am sure his presence in either of the spring leagues would probably sell out stadiums across the country. At any rate, he feels he is so good he could sit behind MBT in TO and still get his engraved invitation.
  9. Was watching the USFL highlights just out of curiosity this morning. There were literally less that 200 people in attendance in Pittsburgh. In fact I've seen bigger crowds at a Bomber practice. This league is not going to make it. Bluto, you may get MBT back yet.
  10. Yes, I believe they do. I am a strong proponent of democracy. Bad governments lose, and are replaced. Just as it should be. Are you dense or something or just trying to play a game of silly bugger? See above.
  11. I am kind of still angry we let our foot off the gas in that game. We could easily have hung 70 on them, and kept them down to under 10 points if we didn't mail in the 4th Q. They were stupid enough to be bragging all season how good their defence was...lmao. It was just as bad as their offence.
  12. A great deal of the electorate feel exactly the same way about Trudeau. An election will settle who is right and who is wrong.
  13. ...and that was just a mercy punt because we didn't want to run up the score even more. Classy Bombers.
  14. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ethics-commissioner-trudeau-liberals-lapses I'll just leave this here. Cognitive dissonance my ass. The only people with cognitive dissonance are the ones who can't see how corrupt this Liberal government is.
  15. Maybe? Can you prove otherwise or are we just going to throw wild unfounded accusations around? He did.
  16. I not only believe it, I know it for a fact. You guys would love to believe that there is some kind of conspiracy here....but there isn't.
  17. For sure businesses skew to the right of the political spectrum. No doubt about it. Businesses abhor a left wing government. However, you were making the implication that the PCs were funneling money through them and that they were complicit in some scheme to pay Obby Khan. That's a big leap. The Manitoba Chamber BOD is a collection of chamber members from all across the province and they work to assist other businesses and to advocate for business interests. They are politically neutral and have no affiliation with any party in any way. If the bulk of their membership skews to the right....well that is independent of the board's mission statement and operating procedures. There have at many times in the past, been high ranking NDP on the BOD. It is preposterous to suggest that the PCs are their puppet masters. I have sat on various Chambers BODs, and at no time is party discussed or favored...simply policies. If the NDP came out tomorrow with the best path forward for business in Manitoba, the MCOF would endorse them.
  18. Please show me the report. At the time it was a start up business in it's infancy and was working out some kinks but it didn't even have time to be struggling. Please don't forget the part where he actually received the grant on the independant recommendation of the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce who was tasked to select who would receive the funds. The Chamber of Commerce has no connection to the PCs any more than any other party. Are you suggesting that the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce is being secretly run by the PC party? SMH!!
  19. They don't need to do that. There is a smoking gun that is just waiting for the election call to happen coming from some highly known native leaders. Me too. The man tweeting those is a high ranking NDP constituency board member in Brandon.
  20. No where does his resume suggest he is a talent to hard to pass on, nor did Walters say that. His numbers are from the CJFL and he was unable to crack the starting lineup in CIS. His testing and his testing numbers were average at best at the combine and he had to go through the regionals to get invited to that. He is projected to be a late round pick, if he is picked at all.
  21. I doubt we take him unless he is a bonafide CFLer. His resume does not indicate that. Making MOS end his son's football dreams would be a tough spot for our coach.
  22. Wouldn't be fair to Mike if he had to cut his son....lol.
  23. Questionable ...maybe insofar as how the fund was allocated....but it is over the top to suggest that this was money paid to Khan to gain his support. Khan did a great job, and a great public service with that money that helped many Manitoba businesses stay afloat. Secondly, the money was given at the behest of the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce who vetted the applications for the grant and were tasked with deciding who should receive the money. Of course, we aren't going to talk about that...doesn't fit the narrative. Also, there was nothing failing about his business? Not sure how you even came to that absurd conclusion.
  24. No they did not. That is a complete lie. Wab is a well known hot-head in native circles, I can tell you that. Long before he was a provincial politician in native political circles he was known for his temper, and for being a hot head. Earned himself the nickname ****** Kinew amongst his own people. Challenged our chief to a fist fight for disagreeing with him. Just wait for it, but I can tell you there is some very powerful players in the native political scene working against him because of some recent stuff he, and Nahanni did. You are going to be hearing a lot more about Wab as the election nears and it won't be coming from the PCs.
  25. Yep, lots of people just looking at Biggie's stat lines and suggesting he is over the hill without fully realizing what Biggie brings to the table. He is absolutely unique in his ability as a MLBer and why he has been the MDOP so many times. Teams have to game plan completely differently for the Bombers because of his ability to play and be anywhere on the field. He rushes well, he is a beast against the run, he is able to go into coverage effectively, he can go sideline to sideline to take away the flats. If you are in 2nd and long against us you are in big trouble as far as play options go.
