  1. Absolutely locked in. VAJ wasn't getting a ton of time either.
  2. If anyone can do it Lawler can. I agree. Having 2-3 rookie receivers is not great for any offence and especially for a guy like ZC who improvises so much. Getting a guy like Lucky and maybe adding a Sheed who both know where to go and what to do when a play breaks down would help a lot. It was a master class by the entire defence, but yea...the secondary was lights out.
  3. He played very good last night and so did Matt Nichols on many nights. I can get behind your "is he worth 600k?' question. Very reasonable question. However, both last week and this week Collaros seems to have command of the huddle again against two very good defences. I am not suggesting he is in MOP form, but he certainly doesn't deserve some of the shots he's getting either after the past couple weeks.
  4. Look, it's one game but anyone suggesting that ZC wasn't very good tonight is being biased. He was as good as any QB could be under the circumstances. He's gotta keep it going though. He was mentally slumping for sure. Looks like he might have turned the corner now.
  5. Our interior OL has been a gong show, all 3 of them at various times and sometimes all at the same time. I don't know if it's cohesion, or talent, but something's gotta give. Our receiver injuries just don't allow for that kind of margin for error.
  6. That's the running narrative here for sure. Let's look at a little thing called facts though. Last year he led or was 2nd in every meaningful QB category. He was in the running for MOP through most of the season. He had 2 games last year with a QBR under 95. He was, in fact, almost exactly the same statistically as 2022..which he won MOP.
  7. No one wants to hear about all the drops and routes improperly run. It's all Zac because he suddenly went from MOP calibre to washed up in an offseason.
  8. Exactly. ZC is not washed up or done for. He needs those around him to do their job to have success.
  9. Zac is not the problem in our offence..although he isn't the answer either. It starts at playcalling..which has been awful since late last year. Receivers not getting it done, an OL that is whiffing on protection too often, and a QB that is trying too hard to make something out of nothing. WTF did Brady ball go? Answer that and you have found our problem.
  10. He looks old school and appears to be a guy that plays old school too. I like it. I hope he continues to develop well. I think the lineup looks pretty solid. Now if it used right we might be onto something.
  11. Lapo only wants 7 yards on 2nd and 10 and it must entail a 3 yard reception with 4 yards of YAC. I think Wallace is definitely in the future starter plans.
  12. You better...or you are dead to us.
  13. My line of thought is that they actually dressed a guy that can play MIKE, and Biggie does not have to be on the field as much because it's Shea Patterson. We can go traditional MIKE in our defence this week. Not saying it will be a permanent thing.
  14. Stoddard carved out a pretty nice career for himself standing on the LOS all by himself and waiting for the odd pass when no one bothered to cover him.
  15. BC is not the only team that has been shredding your secondary....everyone has. Having Garbutt allows us to do a lot more stuff on the line. Also, I expect that we will see less of Biggie this week. Looking forward to us shredding them.
  16. Couldn't be worse then president of the tub club Watson. Clermont is probably a reach, but he plays that same style.
  17. Sask's secondary has been swiss cheese, that is what I would worry about the most.
  18. Allright then....look closely at my middle finger, the answer you are seeking is right near the top of it. I think Yoshi himself probably knew he shouldn't be on that leg but a ballers gotta ball, and an earners gotta earn.
  19. The CFL by-laws in the CBA. Actually, I just looked up 9F in the bylaws and he can attend general or positional group team meetings. Just cannot be any of the on field meetings. He cannot participate in anything on-field or that falls under a team's designated practice time. 6 gamers are not allowed on the practice field while on the 6 game. I suppose he could review film with guys, and join discussions with them off the field but he can't bring his emotion, leadership to the field where it is most useful. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought 6 gamers were only allowed to attend the stadium for medical/rehab.
  20. He was, just like he was here, their emotional leader both on and off the field. He made them a better line just by being there and in the room. Massive blow to the Criders who needed his confidence. He will be 6 gamed and not allowed to attend meetings or participate in practice. That will deflate an OL that was brutal last year and had rallied around his leadership.
  21. He was playing really well. However, like most vet guys that are coming in with injuries they are able to play through it for a few weeks until the wear and tear takes them out. That was always my concern with re-signing Yoshi this offseason after watching him limp around a lot last year and have games where he got pyloned because he couldn't step off that leg. I think last year it wasn't as bad, just enough for him to have a bad game here or there and then this year it finally blew out. He is a massive loss for that OL that was just starting to kind of turn a corner. They are back to last year level of incompetence now.
  22. Reminds me a lot of Cory Watson with an attitude.
  23. I think this may be a worsening of the same injury he fought through at times last season as well. I am not sure the RIder's brass did their due diligence on Hardrick's health. Totally get Yosh taking the payday, but last year he was having a real tough time on that leg as well. In their desperation to make a splash, I think O'Day may have been guilty of ignoring some real telling signs that Hardrick was not 100.
  24. None of these guys hold a candle to having a Biggie or Alexander to learn from both on and maybe more importantly off the field. Look the results haven't been what was hoped for, but the thought process to bring these guys in for leadership is not some big whopping mistake like others here would try to sell. Honestly, just a bunch of piling on of every decision the Bombers make over the past 3 years. I don't mind the valid criticisms at all, or looking at things that didn't work out and critiquing them, but the level some posters here are going to make everything the Bombers management and coaching does appear to be without thought or the result of bias is just plain and simply an agenda. An agenda that has taken over this forum for a couple years now trying to whip people into a frenzy. Look I get the panic of an 0-4 start, but we got guys who have been banging this drum in 15-3 and 14-4 seasons. We all need to step back from the ledge a little. This is not nearly as bad as we are being led to believe. Is it great...nope....do I hope for some changes...yep. The season is still very recoverable, and our management and coaching is near or at the top of the league.
