  1. I quoted what I was responding to and it had zero to do with playoff seeding. You suggested TO was unimportant to the league..I disagreed. I also suggested nothing about TSN not carrying the league, although the possibility of that happening without TO certainly exists.
  2. The TV and sponsorship dollars are about 35% of league revenues. They are extremely important to EVERY teams survival and would be severely impacted without a league presence in TO, Mtl, and Van.
  3. I wasn't worried about him at all. He was a rookie last year and just needed to mature. His leg strength this year is really improved as well.
  4. I don't mind that he gave up on Glenn. I just think the way he did it was idiotic. He cut him adrift without any semblance of a plan and then blamed the fans for asking WTF? Kelly should have hung onto Glenn, either got him back to 2007 Glenn or at least had the time to find something better than Stefan Lefors or dragging Michael Bishop out of CFL exile as his plan. Kelly had a massive amount of passion and drive to make the Bombers better...on that I have no doubt....problem is that he let that passion call the shots instead of using his head and it cost us dearly. He acted before he thought things through and that very rarely leads to success. Letting most of our OL walk away in FA was pretty problematic too.
  5. Yes..that's how I remember it too. We wa Ted SVR at RT
  6. Hopefully a choice our team will never have to make.
  7. Neither are particularly good QBs either.
  8. Yea....it's kind of like the old power rankings they trialed back in 2010 that had the Bombers ranked #2 and #3 almost all season. Just lacking way too much relevant information to be even remotely accurate. Probably in the form of a hefty signing bonus.
  9. Really? Wish I would have known that in the Reinbold Era.. things you learn too late in life. Lol
  10. A late round pick or something sure, but a first rounder or Dobson....no way...not unless that IMP is a very good player with term on his contract.
  11. Yep, just bad luck and injuries keeping them from an undefeated season. Boy that sounds familiar....not sure why. In the history of RadioRyan around the Stamps forum, his radio podcast, and Riderfans, and he has been at all 3 for many years, he has never once conceded that the Stamps were beaten by another team. He has on many occasions admitted defeat on the scoreboard but he is pretty much famous for suggesting that the Stamps weren't beaten, they beat themselves. In his mind no team has ever truly beaten the Stamps.
  12. That is why I think that Chris Jones will want every second, of every minute, of every day from now to FA to try and get him to stay. Ceresna is the only defensive player they have that has really earned his money. Even that trade I would never have gotten behind AT THE TIME if the 1st round pick wasn't conditional on us re-signing him. I just don't think bringing in a guy for 3 games and a playoff run is going to dramatically improve us enough to justify the cost.
  13. Radio Ryan is Calgary's version of MIgs. I am shocked that 3DN was that desperate for a correspondent in Calgary that they would choose him. He can't be taken seriously. The guy would tell you that Calgary is poised to make a 4th Q comeback and has the opposition right where they want them if they were down by 45 points. It's brutal. Half of his game summaries I am left scratching my head wondering what game he was watching. I think somewhere around week 6 he was suggesting that BLM was making a strong case for MOP. lmao
  14. No way I offer a 1st round pick or Dobson for anyone right now that is heading to FA. Too steep.
  15. Chris Jones would want to keep his contract until FA and will push hard for an extension. If he trades him, he has to hope that Ceresna gets to FA and most importantly doesn't fall in love with playing for a winning team. Too much risk for Jones, Ceresna is a guy you have to think that Jones sees as a key re-signing and would want to keep his rights as long as possible. I see your point, but I am not sure we necessarily need to do anything drastic. If someone waves someone at us on a fire sale price...sure,,,but I like our teams chances right now without mortgaging any future capital.
  16. Yea....Ceresna would be highly unlikely....I would say impossible but one side of the equation is Chris Jones after all.
  17. At the very least it means he will need some time to learn our defensive system. I think he is a good young player, but coming out of Hamilton's style of defence with no familiarity with ours there was no way we could put him on the AR yet. Mark Washington and RIchie Hall have very different defensive styles.
  18. In fairness he did not become their punt returner until later in the game.
  19. They didn't help...but they most certainly weren't the nail in the coffin either.
  20. Absolutely no team coming out of TC with an OL of Vaughn, Ferland, Clark, Johnson, and Rodgers as the starting OL ever had a hope of attaining double digit win totals. That is just the reality that these guys don't want to face. Not a single one of those guys would make our roster let alone start. Only one might make our PR. When your GM shits the bed that badly on an OL build you are going to be a crossover team at best no matter what transpires the rest of the way. Bad luck or circumstance had nothing to do with their tire fire right now. Bad roster construction, poor coaching, lack of culture, and me first attitudes are the culprit over there. Injuries just provide their fan base with a convenient excuse.
  21. Cereal Killer is the probable third alter ego he has on that forum. Dude is just as sad as that last guy on OurBombers who had multiple accounts and talked to himself on an empty forum. If we didn't lose Mercy Maston in TC I am positive we would be undefeated right now even though errant kicks lost us a game....Mercy would have made them. Sorry Mercy, just making a point.
  22. No need to clarify for CoFaj, he will read this and be on the news at 6 to talk about it himself with a box of tissues tucked under his arm.
  23. The words Cody and Fajardo are the very definition of panic response. He sees a DL on the distant horizon and immediately runs backwards spinning to his right the whole time.
  24. Not only does he know the system, he thrived in it last year.
  25. I suspect that will depend whether we play him at boundary HB or SAM LBer, Methinks the latter. Darby is not the guy to cover a 1A or 1B receiver and I'm not sure why Hamilton played him there. He is however pretty damn good at picking up coverage on a team's 4th or 5th option, tackles well in the run game, and is great at keeping contain on QBs. Hmmm....where to play him?
