  1. Little worried about not dressing an extra DL for this game. Our guys have to go an extra 10-15 yards deep every play to find Fajardo spinning around heading backwards every play. Our guys might get winded from having to go back all the extra yardage he surrenders before being sacked.
  2. We are 12-2. If we win the Grey Cup we will be the most successful franchise since the early 80's. I would suspect that our management, and coaches would try for continuity in that event. Why would we be looking at big changes with a three-peat in our pocket? Our team got cocky last week, and took the week off, let's hold off on the doom and gloom. We are by far the best team in this league.
  3. True.,..like I said, I'm not trying to paint him as the devil and I don't disagree with a word he said. Just put the twitter away now. It does encourage me that he seems to be craving the kind of locker room structure that we have so I think he will embrace FIFO.
  4. Shade is shade. Yes, he was not specific but it was a gratuitous shot at them and was not necessary. I'm not trying to paint him as the devil or something, just a behavior he will need to leave outside our dressing room door. I love the comments themselves and think they are wholly accurate. However, this is stuff that Bombers don't do. They leave all their commentary in the dressing room.
  5. I knew you meant Hodge with the putz comment. Just don't like players on social media lighting up their dressing rooms, even if they are out the door. That's learned behavior from a broken locker room and along with the content of his tweet it illustrates the lack of class that permeates that organization.
  6. There is a black market Bonanza just outside Estevan at Jedediah's barn. Don't ask what kind of meat you are eating....you don't want to know.
  7. He was likely disgruntled there for sure. He probably hated the culture and lack of discipline. However, I am not a big fan of any player who throws shade at his locker room on the way out the door, that is something he must have learned in Riderville and it is something that MOS and our player leadership will need to school him about how the Bombers don't do **** like that. As true as it might be it shows some of the same lack of discipline and class as he is complaining about.
  8. I thought that was automatically inferred as the term Lame Duck and Cody Fajardo have become synonymous. AS PER Webster Dictionary 1. A sporting term referring to a pass or throw with little accuracy and a lot of hang time 2. SEE: Cody Fajardo
  9. Interesting, getting paid one Toonie Tuesday at a time.
  10. I don't think BLM has worn out his welcome, and it seems pretty obvious as to why he is 2nd string. I am sure that a lot of Stamps fans still like him, and appreciate him, you just can't deny the obvious. BLM is not the same QB he used to be prior to his shoulder injury. I am sure that BLM being a ****** canoe made this transition much easier for them though...that and the fact that Maier is balling. Make no mistake, even nice guys have little sympathy shown for them when their game goes South. I would expect that if Zach ever starts tossing up lame ducks, and wobblers with regularity there will be a good number of Bomber fans all too ready to run him out of town. Such is the life of a CFL QB.
  11. Yes, it isn't social services correlation to taxation that I have a problem with. It's wasteful spending's correlation to increased taxation that bothers me. I have no issue with paying a much higher tax rate than our US counterparts for the extra services we receive. I just don't like money being thrown about willy nilly with no regard to deficits or tax rates. I think centrist parties strike a nice balance in doing this, and it is mostly why the Liberals have been in power most of the last century. I don't like when economics slip too far left, or right. These type of governments should be replaced after no more than two terms imo. Absolutely. I voted for the PCs to take over from the NDP on the promise of fixing our finances. They went way over the top though and we now need an NDP government for a term just to balance this **** out. In my perfect world the PCs and NDP would go 8 years at a time and balance each other out. When one party takes it way too far, they need to go.
  12. How does one go about getting it?
  13. Thanks, I will check into it.
  14. I am not in favor of the American model either but thanks for the info. I love our Canadian health care program, and other such programs that America does not have. That is not what I am talking about at all. I don't like government waste, never will, and this is not exclusive to any one party.
  15. Bring back Pickled Onion chips. Hostess used to make them in Canada/US and now they are just a European thing.
  16. No doubt about that. Damn app doesn't even update. I have to log off and log back in to get the latest highlights/GOD. I find Crave to be equally problematic.
  17. On some issues, certainly. I don't like tax and spend government that runs enormous deficits. I want a fiscally responsible government that provides services but value to the taxpayer. I really liked the Chretien Liberals, and I want the current Liberals to go back in that direction of government. I don't want an election run on boogeyman politics and virtue signalling by either party. It's how we have gotten the kind of weak sauce government we are currently seeing. I want an election with actual ideas and platforms that give the voter a choice on actual policy, not imagined worst case scenarios.
  18. A forensic audit will be needed to see if he got his 500 bucks this week or not. Dickenson says he will not be compensated this week, I suspect that the Riders will put in for a 500 buck lunch expense for the office and mysteriously the receipt will have been lost.
  19. I don't like the swing away from centre. Concerns me about the CPC, and it concerns me about the Liberals as well. I don't particularly care for the way politics are heading here, and in the US either. Polarization and shifting out to the extremes is not particularly helpful to anyone. I completely agree with Poilievre on some fiscal issues he is flogging, but I do not support the use of boogeyman politics by either the left or right of the political spectrum. I don't care for the "freedom" platform of Poilievre, just as I don't care for aspects of Liberal populism that have been flogged under Trudeau. I wish all parties would just get back to the business of running our country and quit virtue signalling to the extremes of their parties. I would hate to see Canada become as polarized as what is happening in the US, and I'm afraid we will head down that road if neither the CPC or Liberals step back to the middle. Whoever goes back to the middle will get my vote. Not closest to centrist politics but actual centrist politics, otherwise llke I did last election I will register a protest vote.
  20. I agree on most points about where the CPC seems to be heading, yet it appears that there must be some big time dissatisfaction with the current government as this strategy is showing tangible positive results in the polls for the CPC. Is it the social media effect? Is it an electorate simply tired of the Liberal government? A little of both? That's why I said the polls seems fascinating to me because I never expected Ontario and Quebec, in particular, to bounce to the CPC in the polls like they have since PP took over.
  21. As Trudeau has consistently done his entire tenure. What's your point?
  22. I completely agree. It's over the top.
  23. The polling after Poillievre became leader is fascinating. He seems to be pretty popular in BC, the prairies, and Ontario with all 3 published polls showing the Cons with leads in these areas, and surprisingly even Quebec where they are statistically tied now with the Liberals. What shocks me is how popular he is in the 18-35 age range. Quite a substantial jump in support there and amongst women voters as well. Momentum seems to be building behind him. Now go on and bash this factually correct post if you'd like, but I think a lot of people are underestimating Poillievre's popularity overall and not just with the alt-right.
  24. I will take an arena/stadium getting involved right from the singing of the national anthem over the crickets that are heard at Argo/Stamps/Lions etc games. Half the NFL/NHL arenas and stadiums are so sterile and the fans just there as a matter of status. Winnipeg rocks their buildings. Keep it up Peg City.
  25. How does the Jets name origins make a chant "stupider". That makes no sense. You wanna tie a nice bow around it and label this chant as some kind of implicit support of millionaire elitism and that is just a wild stretch of logic imo. It's fans having fun and seeing how loud they can be. You are way overthinking this.
