  1. Swaggerville allowed 34 points in that game. It wasn't their best performance. I am not defending our offence either, but we surrendered less than 20 points avg. all season long and then let BC take it to us for a big early lead and that changes the dynamic of any game considerably.
  2. Swaggerville was fun while it lasted. Too bad they crapped the bed in the Grey Cup, but c'est la vie.
  3. This is the match up I was hoping for. A mediocre BC Lions beat a Stamps team that decided to not go with their strengths. Sorry but this was more a Calgary loss than a BC win. They just really had a bad gamelan on offense. 14 points will never win you a playoff game where weather was not a factor.
  4. The gappers might choose to cheer for a winner and pull for us, unfortunately they probably don't know what a winner looks like.
  5. Allow me to join you and make it 2%. Have you not seen the politics forums on here?
  6. I agree. Not a single one of my children, nephews, nieces or their friends in that key demographic listen to Country. I am sure there are a few out there who do but it is definitely in small minority territory. How do I know this? 2019 and 2021 I had big Grey Cup parties and most of the 18-30 crowd arrived after half time to eat mostly..lol. Last year at Super Bowl those same people were texting me weeks before to see if I was hosting the Dr. Dre halftime show...didn't even call it Super bowl..lol.
  7. My wife is a country music Twisted Tea junkie...she has never heard of 2/3 of these guys. Her reaction to me telling her was "Who? Well that sound boring" I HATE country music so I felt compelled to ask someone else before determining how lame this is.
  8. Well a couple of them have sold records. However when in inbreeder country it only makes sense to book the inbreeding band you can find.
  9. What do you do with the million gappers that would have to move elsewhere? Not really fair that every other province's IQ average would have to plummet during this purge.
  10. You are right...it is their fault...just not directly but fault is fault. If they wanna host these things get some people.
  11. Any game in late November is going to be a last week sell out. People wanna know the weather.
  12. Vancouver is indeed a pretty pricy Grey Cup. but the services and events were top notch and the experience enjoyable. Not cheap though at all. WIth Vancouver you know that it will be expensive and you expect it. Regina was just as expensive and the experience was a complete calamity. It's hard to enjoy things when you have to leave early to get a cab, or be prepared to spend 2 hours waiting for one and to eat....just go for breakfast and then start lining up for lunch, then from there line up for supper. It's not Regina's fault per se, it's just too small. '
  13. I agree. Only problem is that they announced that the media and HCs had votes so tough to backtrack after that. Could have said that the fan votes were weighted more heavily than they were supposed to be....our bad.
  14. For sure. I suspect that the first list was simply the fan votes and they forgot to add the media and HC votes.
  15. It's not just hotel and game tickets that are the problem with the GC experience in Regina. The city is too small, and lacks the infrastructure for such an event. Waiting in line for an hour to get into a decent restaurant, getting a cab....forget about it, getting gouged basically every place you go...guaranteed. Regina doesn't get many major events and when it does it sure puts it's collective hands out to pillage every poor tourist that travels there. I went in 2013 and swore I would never do it again. Just a miserable experience from start to finish. This is back when I used to attend every Grey Cup, now I don't do it anymore, and Regina was the catalyst for that change and it's too bad because I have attended a few LDCs and it is not the same at all.
  16. There is very little doubt about that.
  17. That can't be right. I was told over there that they are the most loyal, educated, and diehard fan base in the league that every other CFL franchise envies because no matter what they sell out every game. That is what makes them Canada's flagship sports team apparently. Wow....I am shocked by this. lmao So no punishment at all then? They do that anyway just takes till mid 1st Q.
  18. He wouldn't have hit the field either way. Mulumba was a starter for most of his career there. Not just rostered but actually playing a lot, He wasn't a PR guy, but I think the OP was speaking in general terms not specifically about Mulumba.
  19. Maybe...but if that's the mindset why wait and flush another season down the toilet, Take your football ops lumps for the season but get the ball rolling with the next guys. I guess it depends how much they are paying O'Daisy and Dickie though....knowing the RIders their salaries might be out of whack thus further handcuffing them.
  20. The list is a **** show really. Rose, Grant, Rutledge are all pretty iffy picks in comparison to other players in the division. Calgary getting no love on the OL is criminal. However, Riderfans are bent out of shape over Sankey being snubbed and I don't think that is accurate. Biggie didn't have his best season for sure, but what he enables our defence to do and how his presence limits offences in what they can do is overlooked a lot. That being said he probably wasn't all star material this year but he's definitely not as controversial a pick as many on the list. Some of them for sure. Harris being selected is an absolute joke until you look around at the competition and realize no RB had more than a handful of decent games in the East. That being said, I still would have picked someone else in the East.
  21. If he was with the Riders that would have been his season total. Wouldn't have been his fault...but just saying.
  22. In Regina if you want any kind of media access to the team you better be sunshine and lollipops on every decision they make, so I can kind of understand them kissing butt. The franchise won't have it any other way. However, John Hodge also thinks this is the correct decision....makes me wonder what he is on.
  23. When your team runs like a Swiss watch in every aspect both on and off the field you deserve the nod. When your team stands in the parking lot looking to jump the opposition as they leave like a bunch of hood rats....not so much. It was those same veterans that were causing some of the problems. After years of futility they just didn't know how to handle the success they had that season. It went to their heads and they ran with it.
  24. Yes, it appears you are correct. Games spent on the 53 are pensionable games even if you are inactive.
  25. No doubt about that. Not the same at all, but I see no chance for BC to win with Vernon Adams.
