Tell me who is responsible to mitigate these problems? Free pass to Trudeau....it's the world's fault. Such a stupid refrain all the time. Yet he and the NDP have openly complained that Liberals refuse to answer questions too. Here we go with the deflection tactics. Have no good answer for the criticisms then hurl accusations and insults at those who criticize. At this point it's all the Liberal supporters have I guess.

No ignorance whatsoever. Just don't have blinders on. What a crock. Typical BS. If you don't like Trudeau or his policies you have a hidden agenda? That's moronic. Posted in the wrong thread.

Tell that to the working poor who are visiting food banks at an unprecedented rate. They will tell you what they think of the economy. Or to the thirty somethings living in their parent's basement because rent and mortgages are a pipe dream for them right now. Tell it to the senior citizen who is stealing food from Safeway so they can eat. Tell that to the guys on my reserve who have watched countless friends commit suicide because despair is at an all time high on reserves. Don't give me this cock and bull that they have done some kind of amazing job with the economy. They have spent their way out at crippling cost to future generations. Printing money is not the same as managing an economy.

Baloney, I watched a 45 minute refusal this week to answer the question " how much per year is interest on our national debt". A fair and legitimate question by any standard. Met with an absolute non-sensical 45 minute dance around by the Liberals. The week before I watched Freeland refuse to answer what the average cost of housing is in the country right now. Yes there are questions such as the ones you've listed but the Liberals absolutely REFUSE to answer ANY questions even those that are legitimate and with merit. It's a farce, and they are making a mockery of parliament. I guess even they themselves know that they have made a mess of the economy.

Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news

No he went off on Twitter as well shortly after the Pederson interview when some Bomber fans called him out on the interview. He twitter ranted about that in the days following this interview. -
It wouldn't matter if Poilievre screamed and yelled after because the results would be transparent. Something the current Liberals have a deep rooted problem with. You guys talk about Poilievre grandstanding and creating a circus, I am yet to see a Liberal answer one direct question asked of them. That is where the circus starts. Trudeau has masterfully painted himself as the victim of the big old mean Cons, asking him questions and stuff. Anyone who listens to ANY exchange in the HoC can see that the Liberals NEVER answer a question posed to them and the opposition continually asking for the answer. That's not political grandstanding, that's their function in parliament. The Liberals are the ones abusing the HOC.
-
The Cons are not alone in asking for an inquiry. The NDP, BQ, and Greens also asked for one. I don't pretend to know whether an inquiry would be good or bad, nor should anyone else here. However, I do know that it was presented as a motion in the House of Commons and was passed by the majority. That's how democracies work, and not calling one despite the majority passing the motion is a gross abuse of power. Exactly right.

I think it's pretty obvious that this was a sham with a predetermined result,

It's a strawman argument to suggest that because all G20 countries have high inflation we should too. Canada is a resource based economy and are in the unique position of being able to battle inflation much easier than the rest of the G20. Yes, global effects are giving us inflation but it is being compounded by out of control spending by the federal government as well, and a refusal to open up our own resources to help drive down inflation. It's many factors but those throwing their hands up in the air saying the feds can't do more are giving the government a free pass.

We likely have no SMS room, and we just drafted Bennett. -

He went on the Pederson show a few years ago and absolutely trashed our teams management and some of our players as well. It was gross and I lost all respect for him...so I will say again..screw Mo Leggett. If you don't agree..so be it. -
Don't tell that to Wall Street.
-
It's not interference it's regulation for the greater good. No different than any other restrictions applied to various markets. We just had a multi page discussion about Manitoba privatizing liquor sales, and the opponents to the public only WITH price fixation call me socialist for this? My goodness, our current liquor sales system is about as socialist as you can get outside of communism.
-
Yep. We need to stop the churn of profiteering on existing housing stock and make it easier for developers to build.

I agree. I haven't attended camp in a few years but when I did it was comical how little attention the local media paid to the field. They would stand around laughing and visiting for 90% of the time. Then they get upset when no one wants to pay for their "coverage" -
Whatever. I have never stated that the government should not regulate some aspects of the free market. I guess that's the centrist in me. Are you against the idea...or just beaking off. The prices of real estate and the rental market require government intervention. That much is abundantly clear. De-incentivize this and incentivize new development instead. I am not sure why the Liberals are being so dense on this issue.
-
Not sure any government can do much about interest rates, what they can do is a lot more to ensure a reliable affordable housing market. Interest alone isn't keeping first timers out of the market, super heated real estate markets are. 1. Put caps on house flipping profits to cost plus 10%. 2. Limit rental incomes to cost plus 10 for the first 5 years of ownership.

Corny, could become a really good QB if he can get some accuracy in his throws. He runs well, makes decent reads, has a great arm....just the accuracy thing. He is kind of like Cody Fajardo with a better arm. -

The Riders are people now? -
LOL. Hyperbole much. I agree. I thought is was stupid when this all started back in the Al Gore days, and now it seems even more ridiculous each time it is trotted out. It is nothing but fearmongering of the democratic process by sore losers.

With the kids, and an otherwise busy life, I just finished BTOW after only 6 years...lol. Picking up Tears of the Kingdom today for my Switch....I'm good until next decade.

The issue on this isn't that MOS with held info, or that the press couldn't get the info, the issue is that some here felt entitled to that info and were criticizing that they didn't have it. I suspected we will get something along those lines about Grant, even if this might just be a paper move. If MOS doesn't give reporters that much, I would say it is very safe to assume this is just a paper move to get to 75 because there is still two guys in camp they want another day or two to decide between.
