You must be released in order to be signed to the PR in the CFL as well. -

Might have left a sour taste in Zylstra's mouth about the CFL too. -

They had a couple high profile FA signings that had season enders in camp. They have the room for VA. Signing VA will likely just prohibit them from making any kind of NFL cut splash signing. -
Injury Report, Lineup Changes, Roster Moves

I honestly don't see Zylstra returning to the CFL at any point in the future. He is 30 years old, had a quasi-successful NFL career, and will likely just retire imo. -

If you've made 5-10 or 20 million for sure it is moot. However, a guy like Strev whose career earnings will likely be in the 1.5-2 million range, it is a factor. It vests at its maximum of 43k per year at 55, but players can take it as soon as they retire at 22k USD per year starting in 2024. What a player might decide is up to them, but it certainly is worth it for guys who are a few games out from the pension to keep pursuing it. For some players it's a non-factor, for bubble guys like Strev, the pension is a big factor. It's likely what is keeping Strev on a PR right now vs getting a 300k payday in Canada. Yes Strev will likely stick it out as long as he can this year on a PR in hopes he is activated for the 6 games to get his pension. If he is released from PR, or lingers all year on it without activation, I could see him looking to the CFL next year and chasing a solid CFL career that could net him 500k CAD per year if he has success. -

For sure..how many people work years in a job they hate because they are only a few years out from their pension. Suggesting a pension doesn't matter is not accurate. It may not matter to the player with no realistic hope of getting one, but to a player like Strev it matters. -
I have heard that the actual stars of the Milli Vanilli movie are Sam Jackson and Morgan Freeman and that their voices will be overdubbed and lip synched by the two other actors above. Just a rumor tho...lmao

Which i freely admitted. People have and make uninformed opinions on other people on a daily basis. Its literally ingrained in us as a human defense mechanism. Opinions can be changed as you are informed. My opinion of Biden may yet change..who knows? What i have not seen in the last several posts is any indication or reasoning of why my opinion is wrong, simply several posts suggesting i am wrong for having an opinion. It fully illustrates how far in the gutter partisanship has gotten us.

Of course its a factor. Its closer to 30k and its a lifetime pension. An extra 30k USD a year for life before your 30th birthday means a lot to the guys on the cusp of getting it. -
My opinion is not ill-informed, that would suggest it was informed on bad information, it is simply not fully researched but quite possibly completely accurate.

Actually, I quite enjoy the banter. I get a kick out of how bent out of shape you guys get when someone questions the political left.

According to the Pats forum, Desjarlais was not at practice today and their were 16 PR guys there. Although several of them have not been officially declared yet, it does not appear DD will be on the Pats PR and he cleared waivers btw so unlikely to be added by anyone else. C'mon home DD, we kept your spot warm for you. -
I am hoping no credible voters will take him on as well. I just want an American president that inspires a little. The last two have been complete duds in that regard.

Good for you Strev!! -
We should subpoena the lawyers too.

I never said it has no basis in fact. I said it is not fully researched. It could very well be grounded in fact. At no point have I stated that my opinon isn't factual, I have simply said that I haven't done the leg work to confirm that. At any rate I hold it in high regard because it is mine. I own it, it belongs to me. Feel free to skip my posts if that helps. You asked me the question and started the conversation so if you don't want the conversation don't ask the question. Typical of what you guys do on these political threads though, someone expresses an opinion you don't like you resort to labelling and belittling, Must be taking lessons from Trudeau. lol At any rate, I have my opinion of Biden, I have expressed it and I have given you my reasons for it and that it is simply my gut telling me to dislike him based on some very incoherent babbling of his in news clips I have seen and my American friends describing the train wreck their economy has become since he gained power. I really wonder how partisan you guys are to defend a guy that even the majority of his own party doesn't want to run again. We done here?

All he will have to do is go .500 for that so I agree. In what world is Woody Baron worth 200k? Yikes. -
Back to Back Champs vs Hillbillies early talk
GCn20 replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I would be surprised if BA were back this week. He will likely need more than a couple practices I would think. -
Dude...seriously....look in the mirror. I shared my opinion which I freely admitted is based on what I have seen of him on newsreels and what others have told me about him. You felt the need to chastise me for holding that opinion mainly because it varies from your own. If you have a more informed opinion, right on good for you but that doesn't mean I need to change mine or that I don't have the right to mine or to express it. I made no pretense that it was an informed opinion everyone should share. I don't understand why you get so worked up when someone holds the opinion that Biden or Trudeau are not their preferred leaders. I don't need to submit a resume to have these opinions. They are mine and I am not trying to convince anyone to join me in my opinion.
-
My opinion may not be worthwhile to you, but it certainly is to me. I hold it in high regard and I own it. Nothing you say diminishes that. Who do you think you are to decide the worth of another person's opinion. My goodness the hubris you show sometimes. Couldn't just let me have my opinion and move on...good god...get your ego checked.
-
Not all, but some that make no particular difference to me I do certainly....as do we all. I have no vote and no reason to be invested in this. Are you suggesting you have never heard someone talk and think OMG that guy is super annoying. You are the one pontificating my friend, not I. Telling me how wrong it is is for me to have a semi-informed opinion of a guy I'll never meet or vote for. I have no reason to want to learn about him and I find him grating.
-
I did not engage with you. I shared my opinion and was willing to leave it at that. You are the one making the effort to discredit it. I just simply stated I don't really care if you do or you don't.
-
I actually don't hold either in particularly high regard. Both are a cesspool. Amreican politics in general is pretty disturbing. I lean to the right of the political spectrum, but I have not seen any parties that are remotely close to centre anymore.
