  1. Last year yes, but this year he was playing excellent ball right up until his injury.
  2. Style makes no difference. When you are a QB you are the nail, not the hammer. Whether, you get concussed from a blind side hit or not hook sliding is irrelevant.
  3. Coming from someone who thinks you're full of crap, I can confirm that it is you who does not know what the hell you're yapping about. There are many different types of should injury and you have zero clue as to what MN's injury was. Not sure how you could equate the recovery of an elite athlete with what they have at their disposal, to that of a keyboard warrior who strained his shoulder reaching for a donut.
  4. That's just it....a fan base that saw this exact same movie starring Buck Pierce sure seems to have a short memory.
  5. When I hear guys dismiss Collaros's concussion history and then suggest that MN's injury is just as problematic only one word comes to mind. Clueless. I loved what Collaros did for us, I really do, and if he ends ups back here next year I wouldn't shed a tear. However, one has to acknowledge that it would be a massive gamble on our season.
  6. Being condescending doesn't make your argument right, nor does it make it any more compelling. Maybe you should check your attitude at the door because if you think it makes you sound smart you are sadly mistaken. Clueless indeed.
  7. One aspect is a comparison of concussion histories. I would take ZC over Nichols any day of the week based on play but you have to factor in ZC's concussion history. You seem to be ignoring that and that is extremely short sighted. The problem is that at this stage of his concussions he is extremely prone to getting another one and missing significant time and unlike other injuries that heal over time this never will
  8. Also, I can guarantee that should the Bombers not make Collaros an offer he can't refuse prior to FA that the first team his agent will call to see what level of interest there is will be Toronto. I would be shocked if a deal weren't already in place between Pinball and Zac's camp prior to him being traded.
  9. Not tampering, but if the trade deal is that once FA opens no draft pick it would be pretty hard to convince anyone that a deal was not in place prior to FA if we filed it 1 minute into FA. In that case, the league may decide to award the draft pick.
  10. Who knows they may have agreed upon a minimum window, say 24 or 48 hours past the opening of FA.
  11. The Argos would have a pretty compelling case with the league that the deal was done pre-FA if that were to happen.
  12. I am sure that Pinball feels pretty comfortable that if it gets that far down the road that Collaros would take the call from him before signing.
  13. Dan Barnes of the Toronto Sun was on CJME during Grey Cup week and stated that the first round compensation for Collaros is only in effect until the opening of FA. Once FA 2020 hits the deal is finalized. He said Pinball just wanted insurance for a chance to re-sign him.
  14. No...but I'm sure he could have probably made one nice throw had the team made it.
  15. I am a few years behind on this site...lol. There....updated....
  16. Justin Goltz made a nice throw one time.
  17. Somewhere out in the nether regions of the Land of Unhireable Coaches, Mike Kelly is sipping his coffee saying "See I told you".
  18. Only go to town for groceries and beer....but yeah...it's a shithole. Paint Lake is beautiful though. BTW, it's number one for violent crime not crime in general...any old city could do that.
  19. Now, now....they have a thriving denturist business in Saskatchewan.
  20. True...but at the same time going into the land of sisterly love and winning in the playoffs is tough. Our players had to overcome the effects of the halitosis from 30000 mouth breathers in order to win. That's mental toughness man. Regina is not the loudest stadium in the league, nor does it have the best fan base, but they show up with their secret weapon....gum disease.
  21. He has, and will receive drug tests at regular intervals since his suspension and for the remainder of his career. I doubt it is once a week because performance enhancement drugs stay in your system for quite some time and drug testing is expensive.
  22. The odds of going into 3 games on the road and beating 3 teams with a combined record of 40-14 in the playoffs cannot be undersold. Anyone who thinks we didn't do an absolute masterpiece in this playoffs doesn't know how difficult this achievement was. It was a master stroke of coaching and execution. PERIOD. This has only been done 5 times in the history of the CFL and NEVER in such a convincing fashion. This was a historic run through the playoffs, and not just because we won the Grey Cup but because we literally had to play 3 Grey Cup calibre teams and beat them in their own house to do it.
  23. I'm no Pollyanna by any stretch of the imagination but some of these posts criticizing our play calling on Sunday border on the bizarre quite frankly.
  24. That was 6 years ago. The time for apology was many years ago. Over the past several years most people have acknowledged that he has built a good team...even those who initially had some trepidation.
