No he didn't....and it won't be the last time either. However, I cannot think of a single player EVER that played great football every game.
-
Man....if you need solace after a win that vaulted us to first place in the division against a previously undefeated team, you are going to be a puddle when we actually lose a game.
-
I noticed him drawing a ton of double teams last night.
-
We won despite losing the turnover battle in a big way. That's tough to do as well.
-
We did the bare minimum needed to secure victory...but at the end of the day we secured the victory. I am actually highly encouraged to see our offence capable of delivering some big plays for a change. It's a Lapo offence, that had an off night grinding but we all know that in 90% of our games we'll be able to do that. The big pay aspect of our offence that was non existent until this year should encourage everyone.
-
I agree. To be able to win a game like that is a testament to our overall team strength.
-
I thought our defence played very well against a red hot offence.
-
You can't say it is luck if you do it virtually every time. Our D is very good at not surrendering majors.

Last night was no masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a win against a very good football club. It's an 18 game season. Some games the O will need to step up for us to win and other games it will be the D. I really don't care which one it is as long as we get the victory. We were not lucky to win last night, we outscored our opponent. They didn't gift us these points, we didn't get a bunch of turnovers on lucky bounces, we went out and made plays to score and prevented them from doing the same. It was an ugly, hard fought game from two very good teams. I don't get all the angst here about the win.

Two epically poor defences going toe to toe last night. Just an awful display. No pressure on either QB. Just sitting in the pocket with oodles of time. Micah Johnson looks like a one hit wonder right now.

About 3 hours before the game head over to Carnavale on Waterfront Dr. LOL...just kidding...might be the worst idea ever..unless feeling gorged, meat sweats, and being rolled into the game appeals to you..
-
What makes you think they want to rent their cottage? At any rate without any of the above your best, and probably only option, is to call the RM office and see if they will give you the name or driving there and knocking on the door.

Stay at Viscount and go with their shuttle to the game. Great game day booze deals there. Things to do? Same as twenty years ago. Exchange district has changed pretty significantly.
-
The Riders recent downswing is almost a mirror image of 2010 to 2015 with the Bombers.

Lost in all the talk in Regina because of Shimoni-gate, is the fact that their OL is a complete mess that saw 2 QBs concussed in a half of football directly and indirectly because they couldn't protect them. Bladek and Labatte are months away, and Shepley was a matador out there and is most definitely not ready for reps yet. The QB situation is going to continue to devolve for them because, like last year, they can't give a QB 3 steamboats to operate without him being a puddle of goo afterwards. Was re-signing Collaros a terrible idea...definitely...what makes it laughable is that they expected him to survive behind a hopeless OL.

Yardage means nothing. When you throw more Ints than TDs you did not have a great game
-
No..you had the highest scoring D in the league last year, not the best defence. Calgary had the best D last year.
-
LOL. I agree that it's a fine line, but if football is serious about player safety then at some point they may need to take the choice away from the player. Collaros was concussed 3 times last year and numerous times before that. At the very least a league mandated full evaluation of his pumpkin, or something like that, should be the standard.
-
Do you have reading problems today? Where did I state that? I have stated repeatedly that the hit was dirty and should bring about supplemental discipline. All I said is that the result of that kind of play can be quite different based on concussion history of the player being hit.
-
There is no defence of that hit. It was as dirty as they come and deserves supplemental discipline. However, I think any other QB bounces right back up from that.
-
Exactly right.
-
Yes...because there is no difference between one concussion and a career full of them. That is weak ass logic my friend. Anyone with a thimble full of knowledge about concussions knows that with every concussion you suffer you become more susceptible to the next one.
-
I disagreed vehemently with the Bombers bringing back Pierce for his final year. Both because I didn't want to see him getting killed by a head shot, and because I knew that he could not stay healthy anymore. My position has not changed. Yes, I firmly believe that when a guy can't blow his nose without getting a concussion that someone needs to step in and prevent him from himself.
-
Please show me where I blamed Collaros. I agree that the fans don't set the roster, but they can express their opinion when a team chooses to employ a QB whose head is mush. They chose not to do that, and I have no sympathy for them.
-
I agree with Zontar. Collaros has every reason to be upset at Simoni. That hit was disgusting. However, the Rider organization should be questioned as well. They are knowingly putting a guy out there that is a hit away from a life time of Parkinson's. I was flabbergasted when they re-signed him, and appalled that the Rider faithful supported the signing. They get what they deserve out of this, no QB. Zach Collaros and the fans around the league that had to witness that disgusting garbage hit have the right to be incensed. The Rider organization and a great majority of it's fans bear responsibility for rolling him out in the first place and lose their moral high ground in all of this.
