  1. Doesn't take an accountant to figure out that with a payroll of roughly 7 million per team and attendance in the mid teens that this is not financially feasible. Especially when there is only 5 home games and no TV contract.
  2. I would guess the same. The Riders need more than great D...They need great D that provides scoring. Johnson wont give that.
  3. You do realize the Riders ran a 3 man front for 18% of their defensive snaps last year according to CFLdb.
  4. Roh>AC Leonard. Only in Saskatchewan would they hail the signing of a below average DE
  5. Maybe for the first third of the season until the geriatrics on your DL run out of gas like last year. Hughes was like John Chick in 2016. Great first half then ultimately the wheels fell off. I suspect Hughes will have his first sub 10 sack season. He looked done for in the 2nd half last year. I think father time has caught up.
  6. Man Ripper you Rider fans are out to lunch. Between thinking that Micah/AC constitutes an upgrade over WJ/Antigha, and being in complete denial that WJ left for a better chance to win. Why the one year contract you ask? Fairly obvious....because he left money on the table to come here so we get the discounted price for one year. Jefferson himself said he left money on the table for a chance to win the Cup. If you were a player would ODay,Dickenson, McAdoo, Shivers, and Collaros inspire you? Probably would cause you're a Rider fan but anyone else would think I'm outta here.
  7. As part of the settlement of his grievance, the Riders retain the rights of JWL for 2019.
  8. Used to be commonplace...now it is tougher. If you have satellite at your house you can take your receiver to the lake.
  9. The marina. Still there..still good.
  10. No it's 680 CJOB. Maybe it's elevation or something...I don't know. That shocks me.
  11. Could just be an assumption by Dunk. I have not heard of him having other visits, particularly to Winnipeg. We would have heard something about that.
  12. Toronto did everything short of putting a gun to his head to get him to sign before he left town. My guess is Toronto is off the board for Walker.
  13. I can pick up CJOB at my cabin in Paint Lake, just south of Thompson, that's 7 hours North of Winnipeg. You're telling me you can't get CJOB 2 hours out? Odd.
  14. No receiver in their right mind is going to a team that has crap QBing, unless their offer blows all others out of the water.
  15. His decision has been made imo...and it ain't Toronto. I guarantee they gave him the hard core press to sign before leaving and "I'll think about it ...buh bye" was a polite way of saying thanks but no thanks.
  16. They are a tire fire right now. I don't think too many players view a Dickenson/McAdoo/Shivers/Collaros combination being a winning formula. The thing I love the most is that us preventing Lapo from going there may have cost them a marquee QB, many high profile free agents, and a shot at a playoff spot. Feels good.
  17. True...I think it's Plan D right now and counting.
  18. 2 days ago they were pondering how O'Day would make up his mind when Harris and BLM were both willing to sign new contracts and when Willie Jefferson was going to run for mayor of Regina.
  19. Manny was having a down season before his injury last year but was still on pace for 1100 yards. If we can get him cheap enough I'd take him.
  20. They were smoking crack if they thought BLM was ever going to go there. BLM played them like a fiddle to get Huffer to quit sitting on his wallet.
  21. The Riders are ALL IN....on Collaros. LMAO. They have turned like rabid dogs on O'Day over on Riderfans. Love it.
  22. I think the losses we sustained will be covered well. I think we are a better team than the Eskimos.
  23. I agree. Edmonton has managed to do well today, but they started out the day way behind the 8 ball and pretty much climbed back to close to what they had last season. Still not a better team imo. Just minimized the losses today.
  24. Some big time Rider fan mytopia coming from Vanstone. Does he honestly think that Saskatchewan can compete with MLSE's contacts for endorsements?
  25. Well back in the 1918 he may have had a point. Nowadays, not so much. The big fights between unions and employers have all been fought already. Now it's just about maintaining for unions.
