  1. Milligan is a great ball hawk who reads the play real well. I'll give him that. He and the rest of the Sask secondary gave up a butt load of passing yards and TDs through the air. Dangerous DB to throw against? Yep....one that should be avoided because he is a shut down guy....nope.
  2. I am of the opinion that a DB with high tackle totals is not a good thing for any defence. When tackles are coming in the secondary your defence has lost the plot. I am not sure that Milligan's tackle totals should be used against him per se, but they shouldn't be celebrated either. You are also correct that teams threw 100 more passes against the Riders than against us....again...not a stat any team should love to see in the CFL. You put Ford in for Milligan this year, I think Ford has better stats. What do you not get about it? It may or not may be true...who knows...but it is close enough that the conversation should definitely take place.
  3. And that is exactly why the Rider culture of me first, unprofessionalism, and lack of discipline will keep rearing it's ugly head. The fans don't demand better, in fact, they celebrate it. There have been at least one here, however, over there they are not just lacking apology....they don't see the harm in it at all.
  4. His ability to dominate a game opens up our entire offence. He is probably the guy that other teams game plan the most for, and he still beats their game plan almost every week.
  5. One of the best X's and O's guys out there. Probably knows as much or more about that than any football coach in this league. That is not what a HC does though. He's got coordinators for that.
  6. I agree they are tough to handle, but what we witnessed a few weeks back was the interior of our OL getting completely matadored on even straight 1v1 assignments. Sure they can scheme pressure looks and stunts that will give us trouble, but I expect our OL to win 1v1 blocking assignments and that week they were off the mark and just poor reaction time all around. It seemed like they did not have a good week of prep. I expect a far different result this week. I also expect a game plan by Buck that will make them pay if they intend to just bull rush us.
  7. I agree. Ford is a dynamite player, so is Milligan for that matter, but neither guy holds a candle to BO right now. That's not a knock on them, just the facts.
  8. Our OL definitely took the night off or were woefully unprepared for that game.
  9. I agree. The award is for most outstanding player. Oliveira's play was the most outstanding. I'm not sure why some people think that's a knock on Ford? Ford was easily the 2nd best NAT on our team and probably the league this year. That's nothing to sneeze at, however, BO was the man again. Whether he finishes second to Oliveira on the local or national stage doesn't change the eyeball test that most football fans have witnessed.
  10. I think Younger/Hall will have a master class of a game plan that will involve a ton of different pressures and coverages. Demski and Oliveira will be factoring in greatly. Your one and only shot in this game is the play of your DL against our OL. Buck will be looking to mitigate that advantage with Demski/Oliveira forcing your ends out of pass rush. Once we have accomplished that, it will be a long day for your defence. This ain't the same Bombers offence you've faced this year, the boys are rolling right now.
  11. Our first half of the season was a write off, as we integrated an almost entirely new receiving corps/OL and battled significant injuries. We were a patchwork group of rookies at most position groups and that takes time. Now we are healthy, rookies have figured it out, team units have developed their chemistry together....I expect a big win. The game a couple weeks ago against the Argos we didn't really show up....I don't believe we will have that problem this week.
  12. I really think you are the one missing the point, not vice versa. Is it your opinion their picks were sarcastic commentary on how the awards are done? If so, what would lead you to believe that? Or do you think that Milligan as MOP or Ford at NI is somehow better than the current nominees? 3DN is making the argument that the ability to pick from anyone is better by absolutely botching every pick to the point of ridiculousness when given the opportunity to demonstrate it yet you, for reasons I don't think anyone can understand, are defending their demonstration and suggesting people who don't see it that way can't see the forest thru the trees? Sorry, but that's just too rich.
  13. So to prove that the current system is stupid they picked Milligan for MOP. How in god's green earth does that prove anything?
  14. I wouldn't sign Harris to 350k unless there was no money up front. With every year past 35, the chances of a long injury absence increase substantially. If you re-sign Harris you gotta have a plan B, and the SMS for a plan B.
  15. I am failing to understand it myself. Literally the worst part of their team was their extremely porous secondary. Teams threw at them because that was the easy path to victory.
  16. He can't afford to be honest with himself or the media. He was with Collaros for a cup of coffee. Now we know why the Riders sold low on Zac, it was hurting Fajardo's feelings having him there.
  17. Ford sucks but still might be the better option given Harris's age.
  18. That comment kind of blew me away really. He went on further saying that he doesn't want to be in a situation where if he plays badly he might get benched. Like WTF?
  19. For young players yea....natural landing pad for the over rated and end of career players tho.
  20. One Grey Cup, hell one visit to Vancouver, was enough for me. Gonna have a Grey Cup party where people actually know there is a championship game going on. Atmosphere was beyond terrible last GC I went to in Vancouver. Like somebody died bad.
  21. Davis Alexander might be an option, although I would think Regina would be a last resort.
  22. If you are a player engaging with rival fans then you are the fool.
  23. 40 is not the age you want to roll the dice on players being or remaining healthy. If he had demonstrated an ability to win the big games...maybe...but he is a playoff choker that will be very near 40 by next playoffs. Why would they bring him back?
  24. The million dollar tub club. They could sell t-shirts and recover some of that....although i don't think ppl in Saskatchewan know what a tub is.
  25. I do hope they bring him back.
