Lapo the problem? Sheesh....that's some kinda crazy. Does no one remember how pedestrian Nichols looked last year and how hopelessly awful our offence was the last 2-3 years? Our offence is infinitely better this year. It still has a way to go, but quite frankly that's more a personnel issue than a coaching issue.

So far I am unimpressed by the quality of play in the CFL playoffs this year. There...I was the first to say it.

Me neither. Franklin, or a vet like Ray or Burris to sit behind Nichols would make me feel better.

As someone who has lashed out at you a time or two, I agree completely that despite harsh words that are contrary to your opinion that you don't ban people for it. One of the most respected CFL forum members has flipped his noodle and shredded his credibility this year and he knows it and is taking it out on everyone. I wish CRF really knew the effect this is having on his forums reputation even amongst a great number of his own members. I know Mike can personally attest to getting PMs from several Rider fans for taking him to task...as did I when I did the same. Gov needs to realize how many of his own people would jump ship to a new Rider forum because of how they were treated there this year. At some point and time a group of them may just do the unthinkable and start their own forum and he may be surprised how many get up and leave his.

Yeah. Agreed. It's what SOME of them want that's for sure. Won't be long before they begin eating their own. Some serious agendas at play over there right now. It's too bad because the vast majority just want to talk football.

The problem at Riderfans in the past year hasn't been the members at large, it has been a couple of moderators with agendas because their credibility was crushed to dust because of their Chris Jones love-in and the inaccuracies they were flogging as truth. If Sinopoli was open behind the SAM, Burris would have taken that all day long until we stopped it. Behind the LBer corps is not an outlet option. That's football 101. There is no way that Burris had that option but chose not to take it. I'm sure this is what Burris said to you, but it was a big fat lie.

If Sinopoli was open every play he would have had a career day and so would Hank. Suggesting that he could have set some offensive records but chose not to is just ridiculous, and I can't believe you believed that pile of manure. I have never seen a team embarrass itself as thoroughly as the Riders are right now. Even during the Mike Kelly fiasco, it never got this bad for the Bombers. Just a complete dumpster fire. What player in their right mind will go there or stay there to go down with that ship. The Riders are screwed until they can show the circus has left town. Unfortunately for them, the king of clowns (Jones) is not going anywhere soon. Just a completely moronic angle he is trying to peddle to players, and RiderNation in general. He's got his squawk box fully firing grenades at the league. Just beyond classless. Epic fail by Jones both on the field and off the field this year. Implosion....KABOOM!! He is clearly the wrong man for the job in Regina.

If you think the improvement of the OL was psychological and suddenly Lapo's play calling became better you are out to lunch. It had to do with bringing in a stud of an OL in Travis Bond, kicking Hardrick out to RT instead of OG where he struggled immensely but at RT he gave Chungh a crap load more support than Neufeld. I could buy into your theory that the OL believed in Nichols more, if the difference in run blocking weren't so spectacularly different. They have always believed in Harris. Improvement came through personnel change.

Is that really his job, or just what he does? There is a difference. He should come over to Winnipeg and learn how being the voice of a football team should be done. Doesn't mean you have to come up with your own version of the truth. People think Pederson is a joke,,,because he is a joke.

I think it would be monumentally stupid to even consider trading or cutting Drew Willy without giving him a chance to play behind this OL. However, he needs to fix his brain and learn to trust his OL. Early in the season, what we saw was not a QB making poor reads or not understanding the offence. What we saw was a guy who has been a human piñata, coming off a near career ending injury, showing shellshock and not showing confidence in the team around him. After several games on the bench, and witnessing Matt Nichols get protected behind a revamped OL, I think Willy's confidence would be night and day different. I think he is a much better QB than Nichols when his confidence level is high. I would like to see if he can find it again before we throw him away. I would just like to add that those who can't see the difference in the level of play between the OL, D, and even STs from earlier this season are just being obtuse imo. The difference is HUGE.

OL is what worries me the most. We NEED to get Chungh extended. If we can't it's huge trouble.

Toronto also makes sense if we were to develop a 3 way trade with an experienced backup coming our way as part of the compensation.

I think Montreal would be a good fit for Willy and the Bombers. We get Glenn and ? in return. Win/Win.

Chiles was cut because he sucked this year so far. Yea...he had the 3 TDs...none were over 8 yards though. Other than that a very pedestrian 40 yard average per game as the number 2 receiver. Pass....

Probably something along those lines...or something he wore on the sidelines perhaps. That falls under the league's policy as well.

Johnson has been excellent since returning from injury. Very solid. I was a guy who was on the fence about him last year and earlier this year, but he has really stepped up lately. That is why I am not flogging a secondary that puts Randle/Adams in his spot as an easy solution to our plethora of DBs.

You dress Adams and rotate him in and see if he is the same player he was prior to injury. If he is, then you give him the job. Actually, it will mean he has taken the job straight up. Then you look to extend him and start talking contract extension. We have Fredericks on a 2 year deal, he will get his chance in the secondary. If the plan is just to roll with Fredericks then we should try unload Adams for a draft pick or useful player elsewhere and get some value from Adams. He would be highly coveted at his age and ability level.

We should boycott the game. No Bombers fans at the LDC and the Riders will be in so much financial trouble that they probably won't be able to afford Durant next year. Man that sure sounds silly when you turn tables...yet that is exactly what Rider fans were suggesting last week they should do to Calgary...and they thought it might work. Another whopper was about a 3 page conversation about how the Riders have the 2nd best receiving corps in the CFL. THE 2nd BEST RECEIVING CORPS? Delusional.

Johnny Adams is an all star DB. If you don't play him when he's healthy then you should trade him. Sitting him is crazy talk.
