  1. Did you know something at the time that we didn't?!? Nothing other than knowing that 42 pages of gloating would eventually come back to bite us in the ass .. if it wasn't an embarrassing loss to the "Owen" Riders .. it was going to be something .. karma (it seems) is a *****. Looking forward to you guys helping us out of the owen category this year. All bets are off for labor day now with Willy out. Willy would just have guaranteed a sweep of you guys in easy fashion. New QB just means it will be two ugly football games that we will win. I was looking forward to dominating you, now I will have to settle for mere victory. BTW, Your defence is HORRID!!!!!
  2. It would be monumentally stupid to change OCs in the middle of the season, unless you are going to hire from within his own staff. The changes in terminology and new playbook would take weeks to implement and months to master. We would be effectively taking ourselves out of the playoff race by doing so. Wanna see a crap offence? Change OCs and playbooks midseason.
  3. His NFL chances are pretty limited imo.
  4. True enough that there may be more NFL interest in him. Although, not a lot was shown in the offseason except by the Colts, who if he were in their future plans would have just kept him. Almost zero chance he goes back to the Colts. They waived him, they didn't have to waive him. He's done there....and as I stated, they were the only NFL suitors for him in the offseason. Heenan may not sign a contract in the next month with a CFL club, but if that phone doesn't ring by then, I would guess he will be happy to resume his CFL career as probably the highest paid O Lineman in the league.
  5. Yes, it is too bad for him. Having the opportunity to go to the NFL, and more importantly leave Saskatchewan, would have been a life changer. He still has the opportunity to accomplish half of that equation though. I would think whoever gets him will have to pay very, very handsomely though. Rumor in the offseason was that Big Ben was not willing to give Saskatchewan the home town discount and will be open to offers.
  6. It seems Ben Heenan has been waived by the Colts after a torn meniscus that will keep him out 4-6 weeks. Seems that a big fish could be returning to the CFL. Do we go after him?
  7. The only way that Taman doesn't start parting with draft picks for aging vets and rentals is if the board guarantees him his job next year. Taman isn't stupid, and he knows that it wouldn't be the right thing to do right now, but more than anything in this world Taman is a survivor. He will trade whatever it takes to get to the magic number of wins he thinks will assure him that he keeps his job. Anyone remember the 1st rounder for Zeke Moreno for half a season trade. Don't ever kid yourself....the first rounders are in play.
  8. I think his thought bubble went more like this..... " My team is crap, my season and maybe career is over.....so why is this piece of corn in my teeth bothering me so much right now?"
  9. 10 - number of sisters in a Saskatchewan house 4- combined tooth total ....or it could be something else I guess.
  10. I really want to know how the heck his family got that name. Did his ancestors hail from Sherwood Forest?
  11. One more...How often to him and Taman get drunk and wrestle in the nude? why would they need to be drunk? It's not required, but it's more fun that way. I sure hope you are not speaking from experience. If so, please don't feel the need to regale us with stories of experimentation in college. Times were simpler then...love was free....and all that jazz. Just kidding Gbill.....you kinda walked yourself into that one.
  12. They don't get any cuter either. I am, of course, referring to their fans.
  13. He's been in the NFL for a grand total of 2 seasons. The Argos won't have been happy that Cory Greenwood played 5 in the NFL, but when he finally ran out of opportunities there, they were still happy they drafted him. Just like Montreal is glad they drafted Phillip Blake. Mulamba won't run out of opportunities to find NFL work this year or next. Even if he doesn't make the Packers (he will), there are 31 other teams to call. Eventually there will be some combination of salary, internal politics and competition at his spot that forces him out. And maybe by then he's stashed enough away that risking a debilitating injury for $120k in the CFL isn't worth it to him. Maybe Mulamba shows up in 2017, just in time to fill the hole Westerman creates by exploring free agency. From what I've seen, unless a draft pick strings together a solid 10 year career in the NFL (Israel Idonije), has a career ending injury, or totally becomes disenchanted with football (Danny Watkins), the chances of them making an appearance in the CFL actually seem pretty good. Because most of these guys are still bubble players in the NFL, and most of them want to keep playing football. Bilukidi has used up most of the opportunities he'll get. Having him in a Bomber uniform before the end of next season is quite plausible. Absolutely. Guys sitting on the fringe of the roster or the PR are not generally lifers in the NFL. Every year a new draft class, that NFL GMs are fiercely loyal too, come out and challenge for jobs. Mulumba could be gone this year yet....who knows. Week one of camp standout to being released at the end happens every year in every TC. As the competition gets tougher and the bodies start breaking down, the cream will rise to the top. Maybe Mulumba is part of that cream but maybe he is the beneficiary of a slow start to camp. Who knows. I will say this, he is a fringe NFL player. At some point they will have to pay him more than the league minimum. When that happens, he may be shown the door. Also, like John Chick, if he gets nicked up again and misses time the Packers may just decide to move in another direction even though they like the guy. Just won't want to continue investing in him with no return. So many variables, and so many possibilities, that could bring Mulumba to the CFL. Take a look at a guy like Kyries Hebert. Starter for the Bengals and was their ST ace one year, the team was extremely high on him. A year and a half later he's back in the CFL. The game can pass you by in the blink of an eye if you go in a slump and have a bad few games. Calling Mulumba a wasted pick is really premature.
  14. Now he should come clean and tell them there next 12 games are lost as well.
  15. Biggest regret.....not going to the last game at the old stadium. Had other commitments but should have found a way...
  16. Has the same work ethic as Henoc had. Doesn`t take a rep off. Wants to be in the mix on every play and has the physical tools to do it. Needs to learn some of the nuances of the Canadian game, but he is a baller.
  17. Lost in all of this is the fact that Ray pulls down close to 500k a season. That contract does not allow any team to sit him on the bench counting against the cap. The smart move for Toronto is to move Ray and his contract when he is healthy and use some of the cap savings to get Harris to extend a few years and maybe add a quality player or two at the NFL cuts. That is, of course, predicating on him being healthy enough to play which is no slam dunk. As JBR says, a torn rotator cuff is no joke. It takes a lot of time to regain strength and cannot be rushed. Him throwing 40 yards in practice means literally nothing. Good throwing mechanics and proper footing take a lot of stress off the shoulder. It`s when he needs to rely on arm strength alone that the degree of his injury will be really noticed. I know, I tore mine a few years back. I could throw leisurely and as long as I was well planted the arm strength was there. Anytime I was off balance or trying to release quickly is when the shoulder turned to mush and you would lose ALL power and get devastating pain when throwing. Couldn`t throw a football 10 on just arm strength.
  18. I`ve only been to a few practices this year, but he reminds me a lot of Henoc when he was in his first season. Waggoner works really hard on every rep and has explosive speed sideline to sideline. I think that in time he will be a gooder. Not sure that he will be a MLB, more likely a WIL LBer.
  19. This is pure Tuscaloosa Blue garbage being spewed. What shocked me the most in this thread is that people are still posting at OB. Haven't been there in over a year and at that time there was literally zero activity in the last month. Good on Colin for paying attention to it and trying to revive it. The more Bomber forums the better. Each one provides a different kind of forum experience. Just too bad Tuscaloosa found a new home. The inner conspiracist in me thinks he is MIgs just trying to mess around with Bomber fans. Doubt it's true, but his trolling is sure similar in style.
  20. My wife didn't speak to me at all on game day during the Kelly era. She just knew no good would come of it. I swear to god I think I was on the internet forums about 20 hours a day voicing my frustrations that whole year. I was like Nate, holed up in my basement and screeching like a bat everytime my wife would come down and turn on the lights to remind me to eat, pee, or sleep. As a couple we refer to it as my "lost year". I would add a lol to the end of this but I'm not really making this up. Not funny. That man owes me a year of my life.
  21. Lulay hasn't been great, but a team...any team...still needs to play well to beat the Lions. They are not a powerhouse or anything but they have some good players that can expose a bad team.
  22. Agree 100% with your comments - Especially regarding Neufeld and Daniels - If the OL can continue to play like they did last night and the DL can get some pass rush I think we are coming around. I don't think BC is as bad as others lead us to believe. BC is no pushover. They beat the Riders back to back before Glenn got injured. That's not an easy thing to do.
  23. Love to see a couple guys that were getting absolutely dumped on a couple weeks ago redeem themselves in big way the last two weeks. Congrats to Hurl and Adams for proving your critics wrong. Very strong games by both of them. Hurl has been getting better and better each week and Adams has truly evolved into a deep threat for us. Both guys were big parts of our win last night.
  24. I remember watching the first half of the Banjo bowl in 2013 and me and a friend both could see that team going 1-17... they were 1-9 (or maybe 8 or 10, I don't remember) at the time... that team managed to squeak out 3 wins... so I could definitely see them winning at least 4 this year... If u are referring to the riders, they came into the banjo bowl in 2013 at 8-2. Maybe u meant 2011, think we only had 3 wins coming into banjo bowl that year. Think he was talking about the Bombers.
  25. They are not losing because of injuries, they are losing because they suck. They sucked before they had injuries but were competitive. All the injuries will do is take them from being a losing but competitive team to a non competitive free stamp on the bingo card. No sympathy from me. Good teams overcome injuries. Montreal looks pretty good but is in the same boat. It's called depth. Taman run teams have never had any.
