  1. Gotta be. Guy is carrying around a spare tire now.
  2. Judging by Muamba's increasing waste line on his podcast, I don't think he is playing again.
  3. I'll wait and see. Have a feeling we are going to let Gray hit the market. If so, maybe there is an open competition in TC between Eli and Kolo for C.
  4. Kowlanoski back on a 2 year deal. Hopefully it's as 6th OL.
  5. Live is absolutely the best way to watch a football game, but if you want to see exactly what happened on a play, slo-mo TV replay is gonna give you the best look every time. There is absolutely no doubt that Dunigan was commenting based on exactly what we saw. If he was commenting on what he saw live from 60 yards away in the press box I doubt he would have any opinion at all as it would be impossible to tell from there. There is absolutely no way of knowing whether the kick would have been good or not because it only travelled 4 yards. I can say this though, that 100% of kicks that are blocked do not end up going through the uprights. Therefore I agree with your opinion that it is insane to blame a kicker that had his kick blocked. Maybe he had lined it up right, maybe he didn't....that became completely irrelevant the second it was blocked as even the best kick in the world has no chance at that point.
  6. Man that's a lot of draft picks moving around. Crazy....
  7. Can't complain about the food, it's the rotten egg smell from the pulp mill that gets me.
  8. EEEwww.. No offense to those living in The Pas but one of those in enough. I shall note that as a Thompson resident that is our Woolerton.
  9. Bombers have to move on in some areas for SMS reasons.
  10. The implication of resetting the market would be paying a player far more than any player has ever been paid at that position in the past. Otherwise it just market value. Lawler at 300k or Reilly at 700k for instance. Collaros at 550k, Willie at 200k, Biggie at 200k all had precedent for the salaries. Stan has never been the highest paid OL in the league. In my mind making the leagues best players the highest paid by a few thousand isn't resetting the market. If we paid BO 175k and made him the leagues highest paid RB that's fair market value. 200-250k..that's resetting the market. Just my own personal definition tho.
  11. Stan deserves every penny. Pretty tough to argue that..and according to 3DN he was barely top 5. It is my opinion that if Stan had gone to FA at any point and someone offered him 300k we would not have matched.
  12. Sure. Fair market value. But we never reset the market. I'm certainly not suggesting that we don't pay handsomely for players. What we don't do is hand out contracts that drive the whole position price up league wide.
  13. RBs in every pro football league come away miffed at why they are the lowest paid skill position. It's just the reality.
  14. I can't think of a single instance where a championship calibre team reset the market for any position. There is a reason for that, it's a desperation move. If BO wants to reset the market it will almost certainly have to be on a crap team. If the Bombers pay a RB 200k I would be shocked and quite disappointed frankly.
  15. I believe they would if they could, but there is no way the treasury board would approve the expenditure.
  16. Whattt??? You mean McManis didn't follow Mace to Riderville as the local "insider" over there claimed he was hearing? Wow...color me shocked.
  17. Success brings restructuring of contracts. It's never significant but every penny counts.
  18. LMAO,,,,every year you pick the stupidest hill to die on when you are proven wrong. Never change TB....never change.
  19. I am not sure how it is an overpay either. No one can know if he is overpaid until he actually demonstrates that.
  20. Only problem with your little diatribe is that 3DN acknowledged that Dunk reported salary in that article was incorrect and retracted it. Second thing wrong is that you are comparing 2023 Adams salary to 2024 Brown. Please provide us with Adams 2024 hard money before proclaiming that Brown is "making more" than Adams. Third, going solely off "hard money" is ridiculous. Lets just say for arguments sake that Adams reported contract in the article you referenced was correct, even though the math was horribly incorrect and Dunk acknowledged the reported amount was incorrect, that would mean he made 345,000 last year. Let's also assume for the sake of argument that he has the worst agent in history and never negotiated a raise for this year. That means that Vernon Adams contract is at minimum 50k more per year, and he made 45k more last year than what Dru Brown can possibly earn on his contract. Therefore, you saying that Brown is making more than Adams is grossly incorrect and not by 1k but by 50k in contract value. Third thing is that you can't possibly know if Brown is overpaid or not right now. No one can possibly say he was over or under paid at this point and time. If he tears it up this year he could very well be underpaid, just as VA was last year.
  21. He only re-worked the 2022 year of his contract to make it fit under the Lions cap for that year. 2023 he was still under the 3rd year of his Montreal 3/1.4mil contract from Montreal. Until they extended him last offseason that is, and presumably paid him equal or more money and added an extra year. In April last year 3DN listed his salary as 285k hard and 350 with bonuses. However, Dunk later wrote a retraction on 3DN that Adams salary was not reported correctly.
  22. His contract was reworked and extended on Feb 8/2023 thru the 2024 season. According to Dunk he was to get over 400k for 2023 prior to his contract extension. Stands to reason that he definitely did not rip up that contract and extend for less. I would hazard a guess that he is definitely in the 450-500k range for last year, and this coming season. https://3downnation.com/2023/02/08/b-c-lions-extend-contract-of-qb-vernon-adams-jr-through-2024/
  23. I think you are misinformed on how much Adams will be getting this year. His problem is not his ability. It's his age and durability.
  24. Wasn't his nickname "Big Tuna" when he played or am I mistaken? I think Barriere has great upside, just not sure I would be comfortable with a raw rookie at number 2. However, if he wins the job he wins the job.
