  1. yea...that sure sounds good to me too. Just goes to show the RB pricing will not be what these guys are hoping. I think it means that the Als paid 170k for a RB last year and felt they overpaid. Doubt they take a chance on going higher after being burned.
  2. JJ was very disruptive. He just didn't play a lot.
  3. I get what you are saying about A, Bennett but it was his first year and he is still very cheap. Rotate him in for another year and see if there is improvement. If not, cut bait.
  4. He was one of the guys that quite frankly had to come in cheaper or be gone. I LOVE Jeffcoat but he only plays 9 games a year and is banged up for most of the rest. When he`s healthy he`s unreal but we just haven`t gotten value for money out of his contracts. There isn`t a Grey Cup champ or Super bowl champ that didn`t get some good fortune in order to win. I don`t think so. I think Hamilton was lucky to hang around so long. He is still dominant, he is increasingly banged up now and it is effecting his play. Hate to say it, but I agree. I have been feeling this way for a couple years now really.
  5. Jeffcoat has never been healthy his entire career. He is dominant when he is. Is it time we get a more reliable, even if less talented, guy...maybe. The only thing pathetic is your post above.
  6. Someone had to go. Chisolm is being wildly over rated by some Jets fans. He is a fringe NHLer at best.
  7. Gotta be. Guy is carrying around a spare tire now.
  8. Judging by Muamba's increasing waste line on his podcast, I don't think he is playing again.
  9. I'll wait and see. Have a feeling we are going to let Gray hit the market. If so, maybe there is an open competition in TC between Eli and Kolo for C.
  10. Kowlanoski back on a 2 year deal. Hopefully it's as 6th OL.
  11. Live is absolutely the best way to watch a football game, but if you want to see exactly what happened on a play, slo-mo TV replay is gonna give you the best look every time. There is absolutely no doubt that Dunigan was commenting based on exactly what we saw. If he was commenting on what he saw live from 60 yards away in the press box I doubt he would have any opinion at all as it would be impossible to tell from there. There is absolutely no way of knowing whether the kick would have been good or not because it only travelled 4 yards. I can say this though, that 100% of kicks that are blocked do not end up going through the uprights. Therefore I agree with your opinion that it is insane to blame a kicker that had his kick blocked. Maybe he had lined it up right, maybe he didn't....that became completely irrelevant the second it was blocked as even the best kick in the world has no chance at that point.
  12. Man that's a lot of draft picks moving around. Crazy....
  13. Can't complain about the food, it's the rotten egg smell from the pulp mill that gets me.
  14. EEEwww.. No offense to those living in The Pas but one of those in enough. I shall note that as a Thompson resident that is our Woolerton.
  15. Bombers have to move on in some areas for SMS reasons.
  16. The implication of resetting the market would be paying a player far more than any player has ever been paid at that position in the past. Otherwise it just market value. Lawler at 300k or Reilly at 700k for instance. Collaros at 550k, Willie at 200k, Biggie at 200k all had precedent for the salaries. Stan has never been the highest paid OL in the league. In my mind making the leagues best players the highest paid by a few thousand isn't resetting the market. If we paid BO 175k and made him the leagues highest paid RB that's fair market value. 200-250k..that's resetting the market. Just my own personal definition tho.
  17. Stan deserves every penny. Pretty tough to argue that..and according to 3DN he was barely top 5. It is my opinion that if Stan had gone to FA at any point and someone offered him 300k we would not have matched.
  18. Sure. Fair market value. But we never reset the market. I'm certainly not suggesting that we don't pay handsomely for players. What we don't do is hand out contracts that drive the whole position price up league wide.
  19. RBs in every pro football league come away miffed at why they are the lowest paid skill position. It's just the reality.
  20. I can't think of a single instance where a championship calibre team reset the market for any position. There is a reason for that, it's a desperation move. If BO wants to reset the market it will almost certainly have to be on a crap team. If the Bombers pay a RB 200k I would be shocked and quite disappointed frankly.
  21. I believe they would if they could, but there is no way the treasury board would approve the expenditure.
  22. Whattt??? You mean McManis didn't follow Mace to Riderville as the local "insider" over there claimed he was hearing? Wow...color me shocked.
  23. Success brings restructuring of contracts. It's never significant but every penny counts.
  24. LMAO,,,,every year you pick the stupidest hill to die on when you are proven wrong. Never change TB....never change.
