  1. Yea. It's still very early in offseason '24.
  2. How much earlier could we have traded him really. We are two weeks into this year's SMS. Obviously true but at the same time I watched Crum and he had a really bad habit of holding onto the ball WAAAAAAAYY too long and trying to houdini out when there was no realistic chance of doing so. Yea...he escaped once in a while but he got caught for a sack more times than not.
  3. If I had to guess....180....unless the Streveler talk is for real then we just may let him walk if he wants more than 170k.
  4. If there is and anyone knows who it is please contact Kyle Walters ASAP. Schoen would be wasted on CodyFaj. Cody does not have the accuracy to utilize the strengths of Schoen. Lawler is the type of receiver he needs. A guy who can still make the catch on a very poorly thrown ball.
  5. I'm sure BO will try to get as high an offer as he possibly can before coming to his senses and coming back to us at a reasonable rate.
  6. Yep...I agree. He's at that age and risk of declining play where taking less is even in his best interest.
  7. Schoen is a unicorn type receiver that just seems to be open every play. The guy's production is just off the charts. He's only been in the league two years. We need him back.
  8. I agree, and Schoen would be nipping at their heels in 3rd because all he does is get open and produce. If Lawler or Schoen were the same size as Hatcher etc they would be in the NFL. Oh no...they are big...that must make them the best. BC does not have a receiver that is nearly as dangerous as Lawler/Schoen. They have big receivers that rack up yards because BC refuses to run the ball ever. I'll take Lawler and Schoen thank you very much.
  9. Not as good as Lawler or Schoen. It's that simple. Not blue goggles just fact.
  10. It helps keep prices down when your top 2 are not nearly as good as our top 2
  11. Meh....Brady is coming off lousy because he is not thinking before he is posting. However, lots of players try to make it look like they MIGHT leave if they are lowballed prior to FA. If Brady thought how his posts make him look to Bomber fans I am sure he would rephrase many of them or just leave it to his agent. I still feel we sign Brady at a heckuva lot less than the numbers the media is throwing around.
  12. God I hope you are right. Would be the best move we make all offseason. Interesting, but not all that surprising to me. Stan is the GOAT but last year we saw him slightly decline. Before anyone jumps down my throat, Stan despite declining is still an elite OT.
  13. If one can consider paying Harris 500k again this year as good news....then hooray for them.
  14. Just ask Bluto and you have already covered 50% of them.
  15. I think the Elks and TO both win this trade for different reasons. The Argos are going to get raided in FA, and won't be able to do much about it due to SMS restraints. Of course, Mace will be spending to get some of his DL guys so Toronto was going to take a hit there. Gittens is the better player, but Ceresna gives them a stud DL under contract for about the same money and TO can watch Hendrix and Oakman go elsewhere. Not buying the cock and bull that Bluto is floating that Gittens was expendable, but there is a cost associated to a guy like Ceresna and Gittens is coming off a bad injury.
  16. It is true. Yes, we've paid fairly but just off the top of my head both Lawler and Jefferson took less money than they were offered elsewhere to be in Winnipeg. Both players confirmed that they had better offers on the table in FA and chose to be here. That, of course, doesn't mean we didn't pay a ton for them just that others would have paid more.
  17. We aren't making an offer over 170k to Brady imo.
  18. Must be private conversations because, and I can't even believe I went and looked, I cannot find a single post suggesting it.
  19. It`s hard to say really. He seems like he is chasing the dollars or the NFL. Then again, in a contract neg situation a lot of players say that.
  20. Hall's health and age are what likely precipitated this move. Hall stays on for guidance, and Younger does the heavy lifting that Hall can no longer keep up with, or doesn't want to keep up with. Available for Younger to pick his brain. Of course he had a part to play in the coaching changes. Nonsense to suggest otherwise. Definitely, age, health, and probably motivation at this point are all factors. This is Hall's decision to step away and take a lesser role imo. Full credit to him for waiting until Younger was ready, and for sticking around a year just to make sure. Likely Hall`s swan song this year. I guess there is always the possibility that this was expedited because Mace tried to poach Younger, but I doubt it
  21. Damon Allen early career was a great QB. Mid to late career journeyman.
  22. Find me even one post where roster usage problems were denied. One. You won't find it. The only thing people argued about was how serious the effect of this problem was and that is completely fair imo. Look, I'm guilty of carrying on with Booch about the effect of roster management during the season. I just hoped he would give it a rest in the offseason because it is a horse that's been beaten to death. Bombers get rid of STC...and somehow roster management gets worked into the argument. It's tedious.
  23. True, It's not like he played any differently from the year before and really not much has changed in the QB market.
  24. Fair enough. However, I doubt this was the case as he is a pending FA and has no trade value at all.
