  1. Turnover creates a 6 or 10 point swing. We need to do that in the 2nd half. Turnover creates a 6 or 10 point swing. We need to do that in the 2nd half. Turnover creates a 6 or 10 point swing. 2. Our D is fine.
  3. ?? Our D is near or at the top of the league in just about every category. Yep..Janarion can't come back soon enough
  4. I like Kap and he got screwed....but he cashed in on it too. He was a martyr but he sold out.
  5. Toronto has no excuses. They are trying their best to create some...but nope....a loss will be a loss. If they lose tonight, it just shows weakness..in this case depth. Could be....they do kinda look like Huey, Dewey, and Louis when they face the press.
  6. Totally agree. Motivation does not seem to be there as much as in past years. It is something they can get back in a hurry if the leaders in that room start now. Whatever our roster issues might be, I think if our current roster concentrates, focuses, and mentally/physically commits to winning every game there is no team that can hang with us.
  7. Exactly right. Seems they may not be as focused as they need to be as well. I have a hard time buying into the age is a factor thing when we can completely dominate at any given time. If our problem was age related we would be getting worse as the season progresses and that's not the case as the Banjo Bowl clearly illustrated. It could be that the players just aren't as hungry after years of success. That is something they need to gut check within themselves.
  8. The discussion here is not roster, it was about consistency. We've heard your views on the roster, and most of us agree on it. You are beating a dead horse with that. Also, consistency is our biggest issue, not roster. I am sure that your owners will be glad to cash them in lieu of attendance dollars but don't pretend that isn't sad for you, and sad for the CFL in general. Disgraceful really.
  9. How could anyone know that. the Toronto media doesn't care about the Argos enough to report such a thing. Only found out about it when O'Shea came here to a city that GAF about CFL football. That being said, Argos should have stayed with it....maybe you wouldn't need the league to put in the fix for you guys every year. You are saying we were inconsistent towards the end of last year? Because that's the discussion....not roster.
  10. Yep...most new OCs get the dead cat bounce simply because no one is sure what they are doing yet. Once the film piles up, that's when the rubber hit the road for them.
  11. That's what I'm talking about. Love George Jones....well love may be overstating it, it's still country after all...but if I am in a room being forced to listen to country than yea....George Jones, Waylon Jennings etc.
  12. I think Osh would fix them because that is his job, and he has clearly demonstrated an ability to do so. You guys sure have your **** tied in a knot about the capability of the league's best coach.
  13. Sure does....but that song is roughly 20 years old as well. Yea, I like Cody Jinks and a few others that are more in the southern rock/country kind of vein. Just the commercial country of the past 10 years or so that has turned me right off of mainstream country.
  14. Agreed. The Argos get no excuses if they lose either. If we lose in front of a packed IGF after a bye week, it will be on the coaching staff and KW to make some changes prior to the playoffs. We are nothing like the Riders, pull your head out of your backside. What a dumb comparison. We will have a home playoff game locked up by then, and a FAR superior team to them. Just because we will lose out on first place doesn't equate us to a sub .500 team who is getting into the playoffs by default and literally stands no chance of winning a playoff game. We have the talent to be the best team in this league, if we don't prove it in the next two weeks our season is not kaput, it just needs work. The Riders are crap, and can only aspire to be crap and are in the playoffs only because 3 teams are worse than they are. That being said, I don't expect that we will sleep through the next two games, and if we do, I do expect MOS and KW to do what is necessary to have us ready for the playoffs.
  15. There are quite a few foolish comments here suggesting that a loss or losses puts us on par with the Riders. Don't claim someone's opinion is dumb then make a dumber comment and claim it is hyperbole. Our season is not lost in the next two games no matter what the outcome is. Two losses makes our road to the Grey Cup more challenging, and means our team needs some work before the playoffs. Nothing more.
  16. No we really won't be. It will definitely mean stuff needs to be fixed down the stretch though. I agree. We should definitely be win at all costs right now and first place is a big advantage. However, should we lose...unless we lose because a bunch of our marquee starters get injured....it is not the end of the world.
  17. I don't know what's up....I'm thinking that there must be some disgruntled dudes in that locker room. Probably over playing time.
  18. I agree....but I don't really care one way or another. The Lions is the game we need to win. The Argos would be nice as well but at the end of the day they are a non-divisional game. That being said I hate them because of the blatant favoritism they get from the league and look forward to the Bombers cramming it down their pie-hole on Friday. I really don't think there will be much chance of any other outcome and I am surprised by the amount of people fearing them with their backup right now....even with Kelly I don't see them beating us in a sold out IGF.
  19. There are only 2-3 games in a season where it is god forbid we lose and they are over a month away. Losses right now make zero difference. Every team builds all season long to do one thing and one thing only, win in the playoffs. If we lose this Friday it just tells us what we need to do to be ready for when the games truly matter. I suspect we, as we have been the past several years, are a different team in the playoffs than we are in the regular season, If we lose Friday, I expect that won't sit well with KW or MOS and the tweaking necessary to be champs will be ramped up. So many things are in our favor come playoff time, and some very strong roster additions that are actual difference makers yet to occur. We are built for the playoffs, and despite all the grousing about Haba, the addition of Janarion Grant is the one that will be a massive difference maker to our club. Every other roster move pales in comparison to that.
  20. Fair enough. Just saying their rostering hasn't been any kind of silver bullet for them. They are also near the bottom of the league in QB sacks and pressures despite their rostering and abundance of talent. That kind of surprised me. Wins and losses....exactly. By your own standards then, as a first place 10-4 team, maybe we shouldn't be beating dead horses so much. So much angst on this forum, the forum of a 1st place team. We are all getting a little too spoiled by the past few years I think...lol.
  21. They need it. Primadonnas....all of them. No wonder Harris's suspect work ethic of recent years is a seamless fit there.
  22. They suck. Sub .500 and their defence is the 3rd worst in the league. They have played the Argos 4 times for sure but one could argue that is big reason why the Argos may be over rated. Yea....Hammy beat us...barely....in a game we were determined to lose. We didn't even try protect the rock. I chalk that one up to us beating ourselves really. I get you would love to see a bigger DL rotation but the mental gymnastics of trying to suggest that the 3rd place team in the East....THE EAST....is a team we should envy is just overstating your argument to the nth degree, Hey Hamilton is trying hard out there....but their O sucks and their defence is not helping them much.
  23. It's not country. It's pop singers in cowboy boots. Country music used to have a place. Hurting tunes while drinking whiskey straight because something bad happened. That was it's niche. Then they tried to make it happy party music....and it sucks.
  24. I quite frankly blame the Argos for not wanting to destroy their team confidence by dressing their whole lineup and then getting shellacked on Friday in Winnipeg. Could set them into a tailspin. It happens after a bad beatdown. They "rest" a bunch of guys and give themselves the mental out for the loss they were inevitably going to sustain.
  25. Bad example. Look at the Cats win/loss record. I do not dare to dream anything Ticat related right now. That being said they do have an impressive lineup of DL....that is doing diddly squat for them.
