  1. Nope...there were 46 guys out there that didn't play good enough.
  2. No one on this forum has defended MOS as much as I have this year. Bighill and Schoen should not have been out there tonight. Bullshit call by MOS. It didn't cost us the game...but it didn't help. So heartbroken right now....
  3. In fairness, BO did an interview with Henoc earlier this week and he stated that Jackson is the Bombers Ruetigger. He is loved in the dressing room for his work ethic and leadership. "He inspires the guys" were BO's exact words. I'm thinking MOS values that and rewards it. He's not a cold and analytical coach and however you feel about that, his success with his decision making is unquestionable. Never read a post that has been so 100% correct before. Kevin Brown vs BO..like wtf?
  4. And turned out to be a huge liability vs the run.
  5. I'm surprised Derek Taylor wasn't out having lunch with his main men Chad Kelly and Matthew Betts. Thought for sure they would buy him lunch.
  6. He also voted Betts over Oliveira for MOC. That is just an abomination that our PxP guy would do that.,
  7. He's a RB....he ain't going to the NFL. He just doesn't have the 40 time for NFL RB. As unfair as that is the NFL does not waver off that at RB...ever.
  8. Coin flip good gravy...holy crap Bomber fans can be pessimists sometimes. The 2023 Als are not comparable to the 2019 Bombers by any metric whatsoever. Yea...the comparison is not apt at all. The Bombers were an excellent team that likely finish 1st in the West if the QB stays healthy. At no point did the Als look remotely as good as the 2019 Bombers with the exception of the game last week, and that was more a function of mistakes by the opposition than it was them actually beating Toronto. Montreal had ZERO wins against teams above .500 this year....ZERO. Lost every game. They get one lucky win and people are nervous about them....good gravy.....this is a team that we stomped twice this season.
  9. This clown trots out Zac's stats while conveniently failing to post up Flutie's. who had a few good games but also put up some real stinkers....way worse than anything Zac posted in the last 4 years. McManus remembers all too well the day he took Flutie behind the woodshed. One of the biggest upsets of all time.
  10. In the 4th they showed a close up of him behind centre as he was about to take the snap, he looked broken mentally. I've seen that expression before in Drew Willy and Dane Evans. Kelly is 29, and QB age works a little different than normal player age. It won't be an age factor that doesn't get him back to the NFL. Had he had the playoffs of his life I think he would have had a strong chance at the NFL but game film from Saturday may have sunk his chances as nothing more than TCF... if he gets a sniff at all.
  11. Whatever the case is with Kelly, what I saw on his face in the 4th Q of that game leads me to believe he is a QB that is going to take a big step back. You could literally see him Fajardo/D.Evans right before our eyes last week. That look of complete realization that I am not really as good as I thought I was just oozed out of his expression, Like many other rookie/young QBs I think his confidence came crashing down that day....and that is not a good thing.
  12. nah....this concussion is fiction created by a QB desperately trying to justify a playoff melt down that could kill his NFL dream.
  13. Recognize them all then, or as Wideleft says one chosen by each team so that the politics of football stay out of it.
  14. Or 900..whatever the number is of athletes making a difference. I hate it when something like charitable work turns into a show your **** size contest. Seems so stupid and contrary to what they are actually doing. I wish someone would show up and hand back the award and tell them they appreciate the kudos but it's not why they do it.
  15. Meh....just another Rider fan demonstrating that they clearly have no comprehension of the game of football, and that stats are for losers. Zac doesn't have to do much in all honesty. Just play clean ball, and the make the plays the defence gives us, lean on Brady and the OL and he will be hoisting the cup. Sankey, and I said this in the offseason when he was about to be a FA, may be the most over rated MLB of the past 10-15 years. Every time I watch him play he is making the tackle after the RB has picked up 7-8 yards. Look at the tackle numbers of the WIL beside him, over 100 every year and that's because Sankey cannot go sideline to sideline. If the Als are going to shut down BO it will be on their DL being able to close running lanes between the tackles and Beverette, and Stubblefield having the game of their lives outside the tackles. If BO gets holes there is literally nothing Sankey will be able to do about it.
  16. It's OK....If you are not nervous about worst case scenarios before a big game then you are not a true Bomber fan. I will say that most of our fears that we express turn out to be unfounded in the past few years.
  17. Count me in as a person who is happy for whoever wins the award, and I don't really mind if the league sets it up to throw a bone to teams that were dog and pony shows all year so that their fans have something to cheer about. I second that. INEXCUSABLE betrayal. Know your role DTon. You just lost a ton of respect amongst Bomber fans. I will go one further and will be emailing CJOB to ask them to explain your actions. Just understand one thing DTon...you are expected by the fans to be the voice of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers first and foremost. If you want to be an independant journalist go to 3DN. I could understand your stance if Kelly was actually the MOP...but we all know he wasn't even the best QB in the league this year...you even said so yourself. This wasn't some foregone conclusion, two players who had great seasons and both worthy of the award and a person could argue for day about who should win....in that scenario it seems absolutely gobsmacking that you would bite the hand that feeds DTonOB. I know who Bob Irving would have voted for. EDIT: Message sent to Kelly Moore expressing my disatisfaction. I highly encourage everyone to take a minute to do the same if Taylor's votes upset you.
  18. There is East coast bias because every CFL reporter relies on the CFL to actually...you know...exist and be somewhat relevant in areas outside Regina and Winnipeg. Nothing more. Anyone looking for a reason why media votes absurdly like this that is it. Protecting their livelihood comes before journalistic integrity...it's like the CBC.
  19. The last time our MOP RB was this disrespected our OL and RB were forces of nature in the Grey Cup leading to MOC and MOP awards to the RB. I expect a similar result on Sunday.
  20. If Biggie is out there it is because he can play at the level he is used to. He's not selfish. If he ain't ready he won't go.
  21. Here is how it really went down. Shortly after ESF loss Kelly picks up his phone and calls his agent: CK: Hey thought I would give you a call because the season's over up here and I am ready to start talking with NFL teams about going back South. Agent: Ummmm....did you watch the game film from the ESF? Yea....it might be a while before someone calls. CK: Well I know I played bad, but was it that bad that NFL teams will overlook my great season? Agent: Yup...it was that bad. CK: Well what if I said I had a concussion and that's why I played so bad, would that help? Agent: Well there is nothing helpful about trying to sell a concussed QB but I guess anything that could explain that melt down is semi-helpful. CK: Great...that's what I will do. Watch for the article on 3DN. They are stupid enough to not see through this.
  22. The ALs had 0 sacks, and 6 QB pressures all game. Like when did he even get hit? The Als defence had a great game but they did not pressure him at all. I just don't see when he could have been concussed. He went immediately from an out of body experience to the media scrum doncha know....because that's what happens.🙄
  23. They can't confirm it because he secretly hid it from them for almost the whole game. Medical professionals were completely fooled by Chad's emmy worthy performance of acting like he wasn't concussed.
  24. Disagree. It seems like cheating but it is a very high risk play. Anytime in the speed of action a player attempts this (effectively putting the ball on the ground intentionally) it could result in a turnover the other way. So far, Montreal has done it successfully....until the ball bounces the wrong way one time and the other team recovers it. That will end that play after that.
  25. Demski and Bailey will be at near 100% with the extra week. Also, you would be shocked at how much pain a player will play very effectively with in a championship game. Adrenaline is a helluva thing.
