  1. You run some kind of dummy playbook, or rest a bunch of starters, we will hang a 50 burger on you guys. You guys are good, but not good enough to be thinking anything but the Bombers are the team to beat. Choose not to do so at your own peril and waste a chance to see how you truly measure up. Right now your schedule has been SOFT as butter. I can't see Dinwiddie not wanting to see how his team looks against us.
  2. You also have to factor in the game cheques earned by his replacement and subtract that off the pro rated amount. So 42k in savings minus Agudosi's game cheques that he wouldn't have gotten otherwise. At league minimum that is 4k a game for 5 games so 20k. The savings for Lawler on the SMS are in fact 22k after cost of replacement. There is no way Agudosi or any other Bomber is earning league min on our PR....maybe RIchmond...that would be the only guy because he is the heir apparent to Bryant. Everyone else is making diddly on the PR.
  3. Miller is over 100k according to 3DN. Rose might be 125k but he only missed 6 games that count against the SMS. That 1/3 his salary IF and this is a big IF he didn't get a single dollar up front. Grant may do 2/3 but we don't know yet. Hansen 80k. The problem I have with all of this is that you guys have given zero consideration to the cost of replacement for each roster player that we 6 game IR. Cap savings, and I will type this as slowly as I can because it seems to be lost on people, are the players salary minus the cost of replacement for players on the roster. If Miller loses the entire season at 100k, we do not have 100k in open cap space because of it. We have 100k - the cost of replacing him in the lineup. If we replace with someone on a rookie minimum deal the cost of replacement is 72k. That makes his entire stint on 6 game for the year a cap savings of 28k, The only time you get massive savings on the 6 game is when your stars go down, guys who make far more money than the cost of replacement. Haba, Gauthier, Clements, Lawrence, Beeksma, Hansen all represent little to no savings on the SMS to us because we MUST fill their roster or PR spots while they are injured. There is no 600k unicorn savings...that CAN'T happen under any scenario this year without half our team missing the rest of the season on the 6 game. Even 400k is a far fetched number. It's not happening. You guys need to understand that you can't just play short or roster short when a guy goes down. When someone goes down someone else goes in, and they get paid game cheques that count against the SMS and eat up a lot of the savings. We will be lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it, to have 275k in SMS savings from our injured players for the entire year.
  4. I'm not seeing anywhere that the NFL is actually mandating teams to sign Globals. Seems to me they are just allowing any teams who want to do so to have a roster/PR position available for their development should they decide to do so.
  5. Darby, Rose, Hansen, Grant, Miller avg 90k...sure. Darby is on his first stint, Rose had one stint...60k. Miller, Hansen 2x 60k=120k. Grant one stint just entering 2nd stint = 35k, JJ is Jackson Jeffcoat I assume? We have no 6 game saving from him. Lawler was not on the 6 game but his suspension saved us around 60k. We paid a significant amount of his salary as a signing bonus for this year. His actual remainder is somewhere around 160k after bonus. Prorate that over time missed and you get around 60k. Again....275k. If more guys finish their 2nd stint it will go up. 600k is not even remotely in the ball park unless we lose Zac for the remainder of the season. 325k is too high. Our season total at current pace would be in the 400 - 450k ball park for the season.
  6. There is no chance that combination of 6 game savings totals 325k. Not even close. Jeffcoat wasn't on the 6 game. Darby maybe 35k in savings for one stint, Hansen about 60k for two rounds, Rose about 40k, Lawler about 60k (we paid a considerable amount of this year's salary up front so it is just the prorated remainder), Miller about 80k for two rounds. So for the 6 game we have saved approximately 270k based on their reported salaries from 3DN. Keep in mind that I could not find any info on money up front on any of these players except Lawler, so the rest were prorated based on their full salary and that is unlikely. To get up over 300k some guys will need to finish their 2nd round of 6 game.
  7. For sure. It sucks the will right out of the defence when your OL are getting second level and Brady is in full stride coming through that hole. No one wants to stick in that hole, and in the cold guys will avoid it even more. In fairness, it's tough on the RB too. They tend to not have back 2 back big games in the playoffs.
  8. Thing is with Schoen is that his salary is going WAAAAY up. Even if we get him at a bargain.
  9. For sure. Years ago in Junior ball i had to move up from DB to LBer on a cold November day, and ouch....it wasn't fun. You are tight from the cold and the hits are not easily absorbed.
  10. I wonder what the SMS will be at next year? Maybe there is 100k of found money there?
  11. No doubt. Our receiving corps is going to be ultra expensive next year if we keep everyone tho. I'm not sure if Walters wants to go a million at receiver? Well see I guess. Both...to hell with the SMS. Yea.,...it's definitely a tough one for sure.
  12. Cool...I thought Demski was on a one year. That's a relief. However, the Bombers still need a plan B for Schoen and Bailey. I hope you are right, Schoen is going to be a cap problem to sign...but totally worth it.
  13. The colder it gets the faster the D loses it's will to stop the run too. It just hurts more.
  14. Not every game....some games we probably won't get more than 35 points. lol. Seriously tho, as the cold weather ramps up I really like our chances of dominating TOP.
  15. You think getting mad on a football forum is getting the league's attention and you think WE are taking ourselves a little too seriously? Nope just you. I'm all for lightening things up, but we are happy the way we are here and don't share your sentiment that we need improvement. Thanks, for the end run of condescension though. Sometimes you should read what you type before you hit post and ask yourself, "Am I coming off like a ******?" Just a suggestion. Last week you were on here making outlandish complaints about the Bombers showing discipline and not starting a bench clearing brawl. You were widely criticized for your take. This week, you suggestion is that this forum and it's members need attitude adjustments and fixing. You didn't need to post your autobiography, we already knew who you were based on your commentary thus far.
  16. If it weren't for injuries they would undoubtedly be in first place right now. Signed...MIGS.
  17. Exactly....and there is a good chance we will be needing a receiver next year.
  18. At this time of year anyone new we bring in is more to look at for next year. Next year could see any or all of Schoen. Bailey, or Demski gone.
  19. You haven't heard they are a Grey Cup contender now? Riderfans told me so.
  20. I have no issues with loading up on receivers. After years of futility before Schoen. Demski, and Lawler came to town I will never take receiver recruitment for granted again.

Me neither, but it's a good way to keep up on the information. The political threads were a mercy kill as they had gone so far over the line of civil discussion that the mods had no choice really.
  23. BC is good....we are already great.
  24. First in the West? Oh wait...Jk,,,Booch....we may have gotten an extra win.
  25. I agree. From start to finish it was probably the most dominant victory of the past few years and that is including our complete domination of BC earlier this year. One thing about this year's team is that when they are rolling they are unstoppable. We haven't been nearly consistent enough this year but I truly believe this year's team has the most ability to dominate on any given Sunday, than of any team in the MOS/Walters era....and that is saying something.
