Well it was inevitable really. We ran it back for 4 straight years pretty much. Not many teams can do that without a rebuild at the end of it. I think Walters did well to put a team on the field this year that should still be the favorite in the West while starting a bit of a youth movement. Yea...we just couldn't give him the money and opportunity he deserves here. Hopefully he gets rewarded in Hamilton.

Ok...that's the point I was trying to make. If you are going to have the drive and dedication, I think it stands to reason you will also try hard to win and that it is an absolutely ridiculous assertion that players feel like the playoffs are unpaid OT and don't care about them.

Yoshi was a monster in run blocking last year, but his pass pro was pretty suspect in a few games last year. Neufeld did a yeoman's job of helping him out tho. Not sure that he has that same luxury anymore playing next to Ferland.

I was hoping Gray would get a shot at OT, but I'm guessing that our coaches didn't see it happening. We will need to draft an OL for sure with one of our top picks this year and probably need to sign a veteran insurance policy for the OL as well.

The worst that can happen is that we need to add some guys mid season so that we are in peak form in 2025.

It's mildly surprising because of what it does to our overall depth, but Gray was adequate nothing more, as a starter and we got a couple blue chippers that we just can't hold back anymore. I know you are joking, but I could see it. Guys a beast,

Gray was OK. Nothing special but he didn't hurt us. I feel like we pretty much had to open a spot for Dobson or Eli and Gray was the logical odd man out based on his probable salary expectations. Hate to say it but where Gray will hurt us the most is in the depth department, I feel our starting 5 got better with Dobson/Eli in place of him.

LMAO...actually I agree with that. Last year I didn't feel that there was much effect from it but we will be down quite a few vets this year and will need to utilize roster management a lot better. Gonna be some rookies being asked a lot this year, and we need to be able to bring them along at the right pace. Roster management needs to be better for sure.

Small sample size but Ford laid some hellacious hits last time he suited up. If that is his style all the time, I wanna see more.

Thiadric was not healthy all year last year imo. Not sure if the achilles will be the end of his career but we gave him more game time last year than we probably should have. He wasn't good unfortunately.

I don't see Harris lasting all season, and I don't think they have a hope of winning more than a game or two without him. Mason Fine is hot garbage. Speaks to his credibility as a poster. I know that living in your Toronto bubble and occasionally spending time at other CFL forums leaves you out of the loop, but Migs is generally regarded by all CFL fans in all CFL forums as a wingnut....even his own teams forum posters acknowledge it and are embarrassed by him. When your team gets a fan forum someday you will understand.

You have an average 4-5 year career, and putting your body through a meat grinder for that amount may sound like a good deal to those of us who don't do it, but to those that do I guarantee you that the vast majority aren't doing it just for a CFL pay cheque. It's nonsense to suggest that these guys come to the CFL because it represents their best financial opportunity. Take a look at the resumes of a LOT of the players in our league, they are not dummies that are unable to earn a living any other way. Sure you got exceptions to that rule with guys like Nick Marshall etc, but the vast majority of guys in the CFL are coming here to try keep their NFL dream alive and demonstrating a good attitude and a winning attitude is extremely important to those chances. I can guarantee that the drive to win is one of the top things the Bombers recruiters look at when they go South. I would think that it is important to pretty much every CFL team to varying degrees.
