  1. Yea...for sure. It's not even our overall depth, as groups like the secondary and OL are abundantly deep. It's more or less roster usage, PR usage, and DL depth. Everything else looks pretty darn good.
  2. Yea...I don't see that as any indication of anything other than we let things snowball. I doubt that ever happens again with this group. It was actually a good lesson for them that even a game that you are thoroughly dominating for 55 minutes can turn on a dime if you let a team hang around and they get a couple bounces. Old Mo is a cruel mistress sometimes.
  3. I agree. The quality of our starters is excellent. We do have to make sure they don't get worn out and that we can survive injuries if they come. That's the issue. Our starting DL is as good as anyones and better than most.
  4. Pretty bold statement after 7 games of an 18 game season. There is no doubt we have some players that will be aging out but we don't know who or if anyone has surpassed us yet. Unless one game determines that in your mind?
  5. Teams know they can't let us run in the 1st Q or it will get ugly fast. If we can run on them throughout the whole game we are gonna be hanging 50 on them. They game plan to shut down our run and force us into 2nd and longs and hope their secondary can hold. By the 2nd half they just can't stay with the physical punishment of doing that and Brady goes off. It's a pick your poison kind of thing and that is a sign of a well constructed offence. The only chance teams have against us is to eliminate our run game early and get a ton of pressure on Zac. So far BC is the only team able to do that. Ottawa game was just a snowball of momentum and some good bounces going Ottawa's way late in the game.
  6. Perhaps you need a better understanding of the English language, What I stated was that the actors reportedly had a lot of input into their characters and were able to add and draw from a lot of their experiences and natural dialogue to augment their characters and make performing their roles easier for them. If that equates to diminishing them as actors, I think you are really off base with your interpretation of what I was saying. There is nothing easy about fleshing out a character, relating to it, and bringing your own personal touch to it. There is also nothing easy about a show runner allowing that and it being organic. Having a character being well written and relatable to the actor does make the role easier. Every actor in the world will tell you that those are the roles they covet. Saying the character development and writing makes it easier for the actors is NOT diminishing the acting especially when I added that a lot of that was the actors bringing ideas to the writers for the implementation. That is certainly NOT diminishing anyone's skill. That's just your bias against anything I have to say coming out to play in how you choose to interpret my words. I was complimenting the writing of the show, not diminishing the actors. They are NOT mutually exclusive. “I’ve always been used to being in front of a lot of people and making all of the adults laugh,” recalls Alexis, the comedy’s true breakout. “Like when I was a kid, I remember all my aunties and uncles being like, ‘Oh, you’re gonna be an actress someday.’ They love Willie Jack. They tell me it’s me, like I’m not even acting sometimes. It’s just me being me. The writing and character just came so easy to me." Paulina Alexis - "Willie Jack" - Rez Dogs
  7. No one is arguing that. Just because a role comes easy doesn't mean you don't have to have skills to execute. Some roles are easier than others for people. It was a compliment to the writing, not a knock on the actors. My goodness, you guys like to spin doctor others words.
  8. Give your head a shake. No one was minimizing anything. I was just highlighting how well written the show is and how natural the dialogue would come for these actors. I even stated that I appreciate the skill of these actors. I don't know why I'm bothering though, internet bullies seldom care about the truth. Grow up already.
  9. I think the potential is certainly there for sure. Look around the league and the centre position is not awe-inspiring.
  10. For sure. Our OL still has dominant talent throughout. Just still ironing out some wrinkles and maybe needs a change up here and there, but honestly it is NOT the area...not even close....fans should be worried about.
  11. We wouldn't have used McGuire. We would have continued to trot out Streveler on a broken foot and that would not have gone well.
  12. Or....we could just compare to last year, a year we led in almost every offensive category and had the MOP QB and say if we have the same protection as last year we will be just fine. For sure. We didn't bring him back for nothing. If anyone is expecting us to pass for 400 a game and put up 45 pts a game all season they are setting themselves up for disappointment. We lead the league in most offensive categories right now. I think we are OK.
  13. There will be times in games, or even whole games, where an OL might struggle. However, one has to look at the overall play objectively over a season and even over the course of a whole game. Cherry picking a quarter or a half of football and extrapolating that out as having serious issues is not very realistic. Teams will throw looks at us, and sometimes we will struggle with them until we adjust. That's football. I think suggesting it is in the ditch is overstating things. Sure we are not putting up 45 a game anymore, but our passing game is just fine.
  14. A matter of getting Eli back into the full swing of things I think. Bombers are taking their time with him so that when he does come in there are no hiccups. I don't mind the approach. No use setting up Eli as a whipping boy because we rushed him in.
  15. For sure. Unrealistic to expect him to be an allstar in his first real meaningful playing time on the OL. There will be OL break downs on every OL throughout the game on every team in every team. Perfection is not possible. Guys, especially in the interior, will get beat from time to time. Especially when you got a guy like Ceresna sitting across from you.
  16. Thanks DTonOB! So in short the pressures we are allowing are a little bit worse of an outcome than last year but we are allowing less pressure. That screams to me of missed assignments rather than our guys being over matched. Throw that BC game out and I think we are in a pretty good place with our OL they just need a little sharpening.
  17. We finished 3rd in the West in 2019. Not sure what you are talking about? I think there was a little Collaros magic in our 2019 run for sure, but it is overstated. What ZC brought to us that year was a decent QB capable of running our offence in the absence of Nichols. A healthy pre-injury Nichols/Streveler stood a very good chance of running the table in the playoffs with that defence.
  18. He's an intriguing athlete that's for sure. Wish we could have gotten him younger.
  19. Agreed on all points. We dominated on defence. Absolutely dominated. It was a sight to behold. Offensively we were average but very opportunistic. We were a good team with or without Zac. Did Zac put us over the top....yea he did because Streveler is more of a gimmick QB and was playing on a broken foot. All we needed out of Zac that playoff run was competent and our defence was just that damn good. Wasn't until 2021 that Zac really broke out with us imo. In 2019 he was game managing us through the playoffs.
  20. For sure. However, that hasn't happened since and I doubt it will again. That game was an abomination. Worst game by our OL in many years. Gotta think there were some big time communication issues that day.
  21. I will. Sheer determination and will power.....and lemon water....at least that's what I hear.
  22. It's not our typical overwhelming domination this year....I'll give you that. Still the league's best OL. I think you are just spoiled by what we've had here for the last 3 or 4 years. This year our OL has come back to the pack a bit but its hyperbole to say they are playing badly.
  23. In 2019 we were a top tier team with a mid tier QB until ZC came to town. Hell...even Nichols, until his injury, had us in first. We most definitely were not a mid tier team, We were a top tier team in a big time QB jam.
  24. Just to put this all to bed and end the debate I will leave this right here, sorry for highlighting your post when doing so Booch just your comment along with this confirms what we've been saying about our OL. Top rated QB, top rated RB, top rated OL. Sounds pretty good to me. https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/veteran-zach-collaros-earns-top-quarterback-grade-in-cfl-s-honour-roll-1.1988217 BTW, PFF analytics also has our OL ranked number one over the season, not just last week.
  25. Sure...you do what you gotta do to get it done. We are getting it done. Is it the same way we used to do it. No. but so what? I really don't understand the grousing about the run game. It is there when we need/want it and has been very productive for us. I could give a fig if BO's 1st Q rushing avg is a yard less than last year. What matters is overall production, overall TOP, and efficiency. We are doing very well in all those areas on offence.
