  1. Isn't his last name Wallace? Oh gawd, you are right. This is becoming harder to keep straight than my wifes birthday vs our anniversary.
  2. Ya kno, it doesn't surprise me one ounce that you already think this without even getting out of the off-season.. Stay classy bud. Keep the faith!! Forget class, sell me on all the great things that have transpired this off season. Granted, he still has many months to make it happen, but so far are you honestly impressed? Or are you just being "positive?" Oy. Can we sell you on the fact that we avoided a giant albatross of a contract on Burris; and that Hamilton and Kent Austin were a flashier sell for Collaros instead? Way too early to be passing judgment on Walters. The mess that Mack left the organization in... pile on all that you want. But way too early to judge Walters. Fair response and I appreciate you indulging my question. Still, he could've easily over paid for Burris and just cut the guy next year. I am fine with Glenn, but Desjardins is going to anally pound us for him. And Lizard is going to have to take it. Which is a great idea if you're looking to solve one problem by creating another one. If that's how he thinks business is done, he'll quickly develop a reputation that is just as bad as the one we have now. We're trying to rebuild our image as an appealing football club to join up with. Signing guys only to cut them a year later for no reason other than money troubles is not how you establish that. .... as opposed to the reputation the OTT management group has after the Glenn thing? No one gives a shite about "reputation" -- they care about money, wins, and opportunity. And I seriously doubt anyone would say "they signed a rock solid personality like Henry Burris and then turfed him after just a year. That guy was all class and deserved so much better!"

  5. Sorry guys, whenever I hear Walters, I think of Kevin "Lizard" Walters, who was Adler's producer at CJOB. I was once so thoroughly disgusted with the Adler show and the commercials that I sent Lizard a huge (well written) rant explaining why I think he sucks -- and he actually responded and asked me to remain a listener. So to that end, Kevin, I mean, Kyle Walters, is now Lizard. And he is the worst GM in the league.
  6. His previous track record, along with significantly overpaying for Burris, suggest differently. Guy spends heavily on CFL-expereinced QB's; regardless of impact on roster. Jury's out on Walters. Yesterday I was super-pissed about losing out on Burris. I'd still be super-pissed to lose out on him anywhere under $400k. But he's been made the 2nd highest-paid in the CFL at 39; and for 3 years. I think I'd be more pissed if it was on our payroll. He was the best QB option. Sign his prima-donna ass to an unfriendly contract and then cut him/re-neg him in the offseason. Henry is happy -- he makes a bucket of money for his (last) year. We're happy -- we have a real QB to win a few games and take pressure off Willy. And we look like we're in it to win it. Now we look like loveable losers, except for the loveable part. Yeah, and if you can't find his replacement, then what? You're stuck paying him another boatload of money. Ha! True! Well, some of us we're calling for a different choice at GM, letting Kevin season for a few years. Its all speculation that things would've been better had we done that, but I do know they sure as hell wouldn't have been worse!

  8. Based on winning out on one free agent signing? Wow, doesn't take much to impress you does it? Yes, cause that is the only lousy thing that's occurred since he took over. Switch from dial-up, there Jusup. You're missing out on a lot of info . I think you're missing some info on the colossal botch job Desjardins did in Hamilton. 2 years of futility trumps one poor off-season, IMO... The past three months of Walters has laid the groundwork for the upcoming season of Blue Bomber football to make the two Desjardins seasons in Hamilton look like the Warren Moon years in Edmonton.

  10. Desjardins is a ****. He's also a better GM than Walters.
  11. If Walters had a set of nuts to go with being a nice guy, here's what he'd do: When he heard OTT was in the mix for 400-plus over 3 years, offer Henry 450 plus this year, 500 next year, 550 the third -- a truly appalling, bat **** crazy contract that appeals to Henry's massive ego. Henry signs in a heartbeat, it shows the Bombers "mean business/have balls," and makes agents of other FAs take notice. Then offer Willy a contract that is aggressive and is heavily weighed in year 2 and 3. You see where this is going. You cut Henry outright the end of year one and re-neg Willy to be starter.
  12. It would kind of kill the trade value of Glenn if he flat out said they wouldn't be able to afford him and Burris. I like your style dude. Agreed.
  13. Hard to pin all this on Walters -- this is still afterbirth of Mike Kelly and Joe Buttcrack -- yet Walters was chosen to steward us back to winning ways. So far, not good. Would a more experienced GM have had better results? Hard to say, but then again, would a more experienced GM could have possibly had WORSE results?
  14. Fine, Glenn plus Willy then. That could still work. Though I doubt the Bombers can swing it. Here's to giving Drew Willy the reigns in 2014 -- running for his life from the very first play behind a patchwork O-line. Injured and out of football by Labour Day.
  15. Yeah, Henry would love that. He loves QB competition as much as he loves cold weather. He's already signed, who cares what he would love? Yeah, you're right. The mental state of a QB, especially one like Henry Burris, is irrelevant. #MaddenLogic
  16. Yeah, Henry would love that. He loves QB competition as much as he loves cold weather.
  17. If all this means we get Glenn, even better. Who would you rather teach your up and coming QB (Willy) about being a pro? Kevin Glenn or Henry Burris? Just get Willy.
  18. Given Burris' history, there is no way in holy hell he would go to OTT and compete for a starting job with Glenn. Pederast is woefully unconnected. He literally scours the Twitterverse looking for chatter and then puts it out as a "insider rumbling." He's one notch higher than Nasty Nate in terms of credibility.
  19. I would hope they have a "Sofa Muamba for a non-import roll of tape" trade ready to fly the second Henoc inks his contract.
  20. Still would not want to thrust the kid into the starters job. We have too many holes for him to be successful. Could crush him like we have every other QB "prospect." Sign Willy first, then sign Burris -- or vice versa, whatever -- just get 'em both. Could be a really good team in 2015.
  21. With Burris we would double our wins from last year. Just need someone to be heir apparent.
  22. If Walters could pull off Burris AND Willy, I will be very impressed. Instant QB upgrade this year (Henry's last) and a very promising young guy getting reps. If we can Henoc too, even better, though I can't wait to see Etchasketch playing him at rush end.
  23. Sure we can. Lots of teams have more than one good player. Just not the Bombers.
  24. Can't fricken wait to see Suber line up on the D-line!!! #etchasketch
