Kind of reeks of that one Grey Cup week, when a certain bald a-hole named Mike Kelly was walking around with Lyle Bauer basically introducing himself as the next GM and HC. Not saying that Walters or Khari are anything like Reinbald, just the schoozy friends helping friends stink never seems to leave this team.

Truthfully, Walters will likely be adequate. Just amusing how an "exhaustive" search on Day One predictably became "Kevin will have a role here" to an official interim tag removal. At least we'll have a proven HC in Khari Jones to take us to the playoffs and beyond.

Let's hope the announcements come fast & furious out of the Bomber office early next week. Yeah, I suspect they will as the push to get season ticket money is on. They need the appearance of righting this ship. I just hope it looks like they have a solid plan -- not just "build a front office by way of interim tag removal and hiring of friends."

Taman's likeable and I sort of wanted him back here (especially after last year and this year) -- but then he does stuff like get fleeced for Geroy and I remember why he's not in the same class as Wally or Huff. That all said, I guarantee you Wade has asked him multiple times about coming back here. Then the subject turns to money and the phone call ends....

I heard he was wearing out his welcome in SK. Granted, a GC ring will chill his critics, but I would sure like him here as an OC/Assistant HC. Of course, we still need a fricken QB.

How the heck does anyone know KJ "desperately wants to be in WPG?" Sure he had some success here as QB and has stake in a Booster juice, but what else? Granted its more than he has in SK but if anything he'd want to be in Calgary (where presumably, his family is living) or California (because its his home and is fricken awesome). Agree with the poster above -- the job isn't so someone can fulfill their personal wish list.

I just don't see him leaving the Snot and White. He's Rider through and through. It'd be like Bob Dyce or Khari going and coaching in....oh never mind... I'd doubt SK will let him bounce either. Unless we outbid them .... which is laughable even to type.

First is the GM. I want a GM who has experience going into lousy situations and building good teams and coaching staffs from the ground floor up. Said GM would have the balls to say to a certain CEO who seems to like to get his hands dirty "Look, you hired me to rebuild this thing into a winner. Back the frick off and let me do my job."

I'd take O'Day.

Call me crazy, but I really like the idea of O'Day as GM -- much more than Walters. SK is a successful organization and I would be interested in what he could bring to the table. Plus it would be a break from the Blue Bomber "Incest is Best!" school of hiring.

I have no idea why some fans like O'Shea over Khari. Based on what? KJ returning to his former home after being gifted a job that he is simply not qualified for/not ready for by old buddy/current business partner screams Reinbald 3.0.

A good friend of mine knows him and he is HEAVILY invested in the GTA, both personally and professionally. So when he gives the obligatory "this is my dream job" speech it will be, well, a lie.

No, but a fricken job interview process would be nice rather than the usual (convenient) Removal Of Interim Tags process. And do you know for a fact no other candidates were interviewed? Do you know for a fact that Walters quite possibly may/may not have had the best interview? Are you seriously suggesting that there's been an "secret interview process" being conducted that neither the Freep, Sun, or CJOB know about? Just trying to get a reading of your personal level of gullibility...
