simple, cheap, available now solution, stopmburning coal to produce power. convert to renewable. there is no longer any justification for continuing to burn coal.

why do people get angry when government imposes a small tax on gas, at,least with the intention of some improvement, but dont mind when the price of gas is routinely based on actions of speculators, and huge corporations, who use every trick in the book to keep the cost as high as possible? solely for profit. one day its 1.19 a litre, next day, 1.44. citizens "shrug", and fill up. guberment put carbon tax one penny a litre citizen " killing jobs, g.d. blankety blank" brainwashed

without some intervention, renewable is now cheaper than any other source of energy. and the gap is growing, wide adoption, and improving technology. the raw material.... sun, wind, is free.

same thing in the R.M. of Springfield. mainly rural , and south eastern, only contact from the NDP was asking for money. otherwise, nothing, not even a yard sign.

might have to axe a couple of franchises to get anything significant done. for instance, Toronto people just arent interested. why bother with that team. I am tired of watching players working their butt off in front a few thousand people. replace it with an american team with actual fans. that would be more interesting to watch for me than toromto dumping on the game and league. if that means more american players, fine. I think a lot of canadians would be MORE interested in the CFL if it had more americans.

k"The EIA, IEA, and other analysts are playing a critical role in mispricing conventional energy assets that is analogous to the role that the credit rating agencies played in mispricing subprime mortgage assets, which led to the housing bubble and financial crisis in 2007. We call on investors, policymakers, civic leaders, public utility commissions, and other decision-makers to demand reality-based conventional LCOE estimates in order to protect their stakeholders and society." https://www.rethinkx.com/energy-lcoe-executive-summary solar wind battery would soon drive conventional out of business in a free market.

need more than that to keep the CFL going.

I have a memory of the fight, I dont know if it is accurate. I remember that Hearns seemed to be treating it as an exhibition, ie, no serious punches, ( Why would he risk getting hurt at that point in his career?) but lalonde hit him hard, at which point Hearns turned into a kind of robot, went after lalonde, you could hear a kind of sharp "whack whack whack" sound as hearns pummeled lalonde, just a few times. really hit him hard, with short shots. I guess kind of a " Stop trying to hit me" lesson. that's my recollection. I was impressed that Hearns would come all that way, for racine, someone he didnt know, and that he could be bothered to give me his autograph. I do know that his fist was massive.
-
I saw Hearns fight an exhibition bout at he convention centre to raise money for a boxer. Ralph Racine I think. Hearns fought Donny Lalonde. I got the hitmans autograph, his fist was wider than the pen. .

yes ... very exciting to watch them play.got the hive mind. I havent seen much of Mathews.... that overtime goal might go in the top one hundred ever. Leafs can come at you in waves... intensity, pace of that game, the skills, that is so much fun to watch. Joe Thornton looks, like an old tree.

sports betting may be affecting the league as well. some people don't follow teams, just the players on their own fantasy "team". The NFL provides far more in that way than the CFL. and moving to a smaller stadium turned out to be not that big a deal to fans in Toronto and Montreal.
-
cfl has serious problems...... probably more seahawks thanLions fans in B.C. Toronto, Ontario..... not much interest there. Montreal, Calgary.... sketchy fan support. calgary show having a winning team doesnt solve the problem. Edmonton.... dont know. the only solid franchises are Wpg, Sask, and Hamilton.

😂 can't do anything unless Wall stree gives the ok. reuters "Exclusive: Texas power regulator, under pressure to roll back storm prices, huddles with Wall Street. On Friday, D’Andrea, as the sole PUC commissioner, will consider clawing back power price that hit $9,000 per megawatt hour, about $16 billion in all, and another $1.5 billion in fees tied to those prices. The commission rescheduled its hearing for a day to attend legislative hearings." one and a half billion fees. Texas don't need no stinkin red tape...... lol.

you mean this F 35? "The F-35 controversy has dogged the Conservatives since 2010, when the government announced it would purchase 65 fighter jets from American manufacturer Lockheed Martin in an untendered, sole-sourced contract. At the time, critics pounced on the Harper government for not looking to competitors’ models such as Boeing’s Super Hornet or the Eurofighter Typhoon." Conservatives love them some planes dont they? off topic when usa invaded Iraq, their planes could not fly in the desert conditions. they had to hire amongst others Viktor Bout, Russian arms dealer who had a fleet of Soviet military planes flown by ex soviet military pilots, to resupply American troops. at the time, Viktor was wanted on an interpol warrant. now in an american jail. book about him is very interesting. russians pilots and crew slept in hammocks slung from the plane. https://www.amazon.com/Merchant-Death-Money-Planes-Possible/dp/047026196X
