I think this is Bo Levi's final year as a CFL starter. Hamilton is going to be bad this season. might see their head coach canned.

This D tackle guy for Montreal in the preseason game looked like a game wrecker. signed March 2023. https://en.montrealalouettes.com/players/israel-antwine/167729/ It's good to discuss, but overall, It's pretty hard, given the results, to criticize the Bombers approach. to anything really. -

seems unusual for China, I thought they were benefitting from the war, cheap oil. weakenedRussia in general. I just read that the Putin invasion has greatly boosted renewable energy in Europe. fossil now 27 percent of power in Germany. no going back. and putin backup customer India also shelving new fossil for renewable. (stupid not to, since it is cheaper. ) international energy agency :Global additions of renewable power capacity are expected to jump by a third this year as growing policy momentum, higher fossil fuel prices and energy security concerns drive strong deployment of solar PV and wind power, according to the latest update from the International Energy Agency. The growth is set to continue next year with the world’s total renewable electricity capacity rising to 4 500 gigawatts (GW), equal to the total power output of China and the United States combined, says the IEA’s new Renewable Energy Market Update, which was published today. Global renewable capacity additions are set to soar by 107 gigawatts (GW), the largest absolute increase ever, to more than 440 GW in 2023. The dynamic expansion is taking place across the world’s major markets. Renewables are at the forefront of Europe’s response to the energy crisis, accelerating their growth there. New policy measures are also helping drive significant increases in the United States and India over the next two years. China, meanwhile, is consolidating its leading position and is set to account for almost 55% of global additions of renewable power capacity in both 2023 and 2024.: oil companies are driving themselves out of business, with the last gasp grab. 👀

election coming up in Cambodia. only one party. "The Cambodian People’s Party has held an iron grip on power for decades and controls almost every level of government. Hun Sen, 70, an authoritarian ruler in a nominally democratic state, has held his position for 38 years." Hun Sen worked for khmer rouge, pol pot. failure.

new york times this affects everyone. the insurance costs are spread around. your insurance bill has, and will go up, to pay for climate chaos. . May 31, 2023Updated 10:31 a.m. ET "The climate crisis is becoming a financial crisis. This month, the largest homeowner insurance company in California, State Farm, announced that it would stop selling coverage to homeowners. That’s not just in wildfire zones, but everywhere in the state. Insurance companies, tired of losing money, are raising rates, restricting coverage or pulling out of some areas altogether — making it more expensive for people to live in their homes. “Risk has a price,” said Roy Wright, the former official in charge of insurance at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and now head of the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety, a research group. “We’re just now seeing it.” In parts of eastern Kentucky ravaged by storms last summer, the price of flood insurance is set to quadruple. In Louisiana, the top insurance official says the market is in crisis, and is offering millions of dollars in subsidies to try to draw insurers to the state. And in much of Florida, homeowners are increasingly struggling to buy storm coverage. Most big insurers have pulled out of the state already, sending homeowners to smaller private companies that are straining to stay in business — a possible glimpse into California’s future if more big insurers leave." I wonder when climate deniers will wake up. probably never.

good article New York Times about corporate profit, greed. The comments are worth reading as much as the aericle. "The prices of oil, transportation, food ingredients and other raw materials have fallen in recent months as the shocks stemming from the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have faded. Yet many big businesses have continued raising prices at a rapid clip. Some of the world’s biggest companies have said they do not plan to change course and will continue increasing prices or keep them at elevated levels for the foreseeable future. That strategy has cushioned corporate profits. And it could keep inflation robust, contributing to the very pressures used to justify surging prices." https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/30/business/economy/inflation-companies-profits-higher-prices.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

ok, good. But common sense doesnt come in to play with these people. 13.8 million withheld Alberta. I don't think that will slow them down. "But this news should not have come as a surprise to the provinces, according to Lorian Hardcastle, an associate professor at the University of Calgary’s faculty of law. “The federal government gave them notice many years ago that this was coming. They’ve known for years that the federal government found these private MRI and CT clinics to be a violation of the Canada Health Act and the provinces knew that the federal government’s intent was to withhold money." wasting public money means nothing to right wing hard core people. How many billion did Kenney waste on a pipeline that wasnt going to be built. There is no sign that private mri is affected in Alberta. example. https://canadadiagnostics.ca/services/mri/
