  1. Another Frost(y) free day at Wpg Jets mbb.
  2. Do teams primarily pick the best player available as I have heard so many times?
  3. The Book of Ezra describes how he led a group of Judean CFL exiles living in Babylon The Grey Cup wastelands, to their home city of Jerusalem 2018 Grey Championville! (Mb).
  4. yeah, just read that article. good luck to him.
  5. Digby Parton..... Hannity lawyer being Cohen In a sane world these clowns would all be gone by now. When this Trump dam finally bursts, look out. (probably why Ryan bailed).
  6. I Noticed that Mr. Wolff outj umped Dez Bryant in the endzone for a pick. Not bad, Not bad at all.
  7. Looks like they want Defensive players that can tackle. Notwithstanding their public statements, probably our coaching staff was embarrassed/irritated with some of the crappy tackling they had to endure last season. (The fifteen yard td run that finished us off, five guys taking turns whiffing for instance) Looks like that might be changing. Three of the guys signed in the last while, at least on highlight tapes, are tackling, not going for stupid airborne hits.
  8. Looks like Quentin has good tackling technique.
  9. referee keeps it close.
  10. Also hope that Scheifele and Connor do some damage scoring wise in this game.
  11. Hope Tanev is ok, I think he got punched right in the face. I also hope the Jets don't bother going after the A hole that did that to him, (probably what they're hoping for) retaliate by hammering the Wild 6 to 0.
  12. what's wrong with that? No more mild apologetic Mark F to kick around on MBB!
  13. I think I remember Don Cherry having the opinion that European hockey players would not make it in the NHL. Am I right about that? I won't watch Don, or his sidekick what's his name. They are both really boring. A lot of Canadians like hearing the same tired things for years on end...... another example, this hour has 22 minutes.
  14. 100,000 lakes v 100,000 snow flakes" Larry's Party v. Babyon revisted anyway, well done, thanks!
  15. They are the best forechecking team right now. They've all turned in to Wheeler. There are different options on the Wheeler prototype, degree of speed, shot making, lethal bodychecking, shot blocking, but they all play with maximum effort and fearlessness, just like Wheeler has been doing all along. The Wild kept up pretty well first two periods of game one, but after that.... it's over Johnny. Based on last night's game I'd say the Wild are intimidated by the Jets, in a few ways.
  16. The Buff effect.
  17. Predators play goon hockey. wrestling style takedowns and football tackles, charging boarding. overrated, slow, and clumsy. If the refs call their goon stuff, they'll be out quickly.
  18. I don't like it when people mislead people about something as important as this, intentionally or otherwise. That's not debating. I won't bother with this thread anymore. Which means of course, he wins. your site, your rules.
  19. I understand your concern, but We have a person posting who who frequently will not directly answer a question, who ignores (or doesn't understand) information posted about the issue, who frequently attempts to change the subject, deflects, and obstructs a sensible discussion. when all else fails, he insults. I responded at length to one of his posts, in response He said to me "what are you rambling on about now" hardly polite. In a discussion about climate change, he brings up today's temperature. This is absurd. hopefully he doesn't confuse anybody that might be reading this, with his nonsense. That's the only reason anybody bothers to reply to him.
  20. edit
  21. It's the battle of the politest NHL cities.
  22. right after he nukes Syria. Dangerous times in this world, with Trump holding the nuclear code.
  23. Big moves towards renewables are being made without regard to any market. China for instance. They decide what to do, and just do it. spending hundreds of billions on renewable energy. The oil industry, (or any industry) doesn't do a very good job of cleaning up after itself, shut down the corporation, leave the public with the leftovers example....see Chevron in Ecuador, Canada.... "A massive number of oil and gas wells, facilities and pipeline segments stand to be added to the already bulging files of the Alberta Orphan Well Association in the wake of the likely failure of Sequoia Resources Corp. All of the Calgary-based company’s operating licences were ordered suspended after the privately held oil and gas company warned the Alberta Energy Regulator late last month it was ceasing operations “imminently” and, as a result of “defaults in municipal tax payments,” would not be able to afford to reclaim all of its properties. The AER said Sequoia owns licences for 2,300 wells, almost 200 facilities and nearly 700 pipeline segments. That list doesn’t include 700 to 800 Sequoia wells where production has been stopped and the wellbore has been cleaned up but the surface hasn’t been restored, said Lars De Pauw, executive director of the Orphan Well Association." Canada really needs to get off it's duff regarding renewable energy. That's where the jobs are going to be in energy.
