  1. exactly. Thanks.
  2. Saw a tackle on the weekend, the defensive guy was basically a missile, flying parallel to the ground, helmet first, into a guys head. Those kind of hits need to go. Just wrap up and tackle, rugby style. no more cruise missile type tackling, would eliminate many head injries. That's pretty simple. anyway, it might be hard, but that is not a reason to not try to eliminate it as much as possible. so far the CFL is far too relaxed about these hits.
  3. That is a great idea....
  4. That's what used to be said about fighting in the NHL. "part of the game" How many guys have brain damage and suicided from damage those fights? and now, it's pretty much gone, and hockey is much better. Figure out a way to get it out of football. Not just for the health of the players, but for the health of the leagues.
  5. Is that possible? Did you see the picture of the freaks "laying hands " on Trump in the Whitehouse? Wow. These people really are in a bizarre dreamworld. just read that Trump lawyers are negotiating with inquiry about questioning Trump directly.
  6. Top, number one for me is the need to make helmet to helmet an immediate ejection, and suspension for minimum one game. no excuses or exceptions permitted. As somebody here posted, (maybe Speedflex, or Booch), learn to tackle properly, forget about the highlight reel hit, and putting someone at risk of permanent brain damage. I'm tired of watching that crap, CFL, and NFL. How many of those did Nichols and Harris take last season? Plain Brutality. Actually, if it keeps up, I will probably lose all interest in North American football. Don't think I'm alone on that one.
  7. took a look at hfboards jets just now... Some People there still bitching about the Jets.
  8. Stupid people of America have their shining light. he's living proof that being an absolute dolt, is not a barrier to every kind of success in America.
  9. It's similar to when he went fishing, while injured. Huge fuss about that one.
  10. 3down nation has some of O'Shea's remarks posted. eg "The first goal is to have guys come in and understand what we’re doing and for them to be really in the right spot so that we don’t give up the big plays" Communication breakdown between the coachs and the players. Or, players not doing their part, studying playbook, game films, etc. or players just not good enough,/smart enough, or most likely, Probably a bit of all of those. Can't cut all the players I guess, so can the coach. I never played, but it seems to me that D back is the hardest position to play on defence, the easiest one to screw up. Next up, linebacker signing watch.
  11. ladies and gentlemen, your United States of America, greatest country in the world! DETROIT (Reuters) - The warehouse of a Michigan man who sold donated body parts to researchers was littered with dead flies, dog bowls and human remains “frozen together in flesh-on-flesh chunks,” a federal agent testified Friday. The grisly description came during the opening day in the federal trial of businessman Arthur Rathburn, who sold or leased donated body parts, including human heads, to medical researchers for two decades. The buying and selling of body parts for research and education is legal under U.S. law, which does not govern the industry. Current regulations only cover body parts intended for transplant, such as hearts and livers. Rathburn, however, is charged with defrauding customers by selling them body parts infected with hepatitis and HIV, and with lying to federal agents about shipments. During opening statements, Assistant U.S. Attorney John Neal told jurors that human remains were stored so haphazardly that Rathburn needed a crowbar to separate frozen parts. Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Leslie Larson testified that during the 2013 search Yahoo news
  12. Trump winning is an indication of a corrupt, rigged, electoral system, and an electorate that is ignored, disgusted, disinterested, and often stupid.
  13. Did O'Shea say something like "he wasn't ready" for more responsiblity for Defence, cause he had more to learn? (Just saying it from memory of a quote here from someone quoting Darren Bauming, so this could be way off target and wrong). If that's what he said, egads. If that was the case, how was/is he qualified to be head coach? I must have this wrong.
  14. Welcome...... to the twilight zone.
  15. Light commenting aujourd'hui, possibly due to MBB posters being in hangover recovery mode, caused by an evening of hard drinking to dull the pain of yesterday's news.
  16. edit
  17. Popp, Trestman, Ray, Franklin .......... First season Grey cup beating the unbeatable Stamps. Argos are getting set up for a nice run similar to that of Montreal, that happened under Popp Trestman.
  18. Once Trump feels truly cornered, he's stupid and crazy enough to do anything. I can see him calling on a citizen's army to rise up. or worst of all, of course, nuclear attack. This is a dangerous time.
  19. Sam Bradford?
  20. He runs this sideshow, meanwhile dismantling through executive order, all kinds of important consumer, environmental, international protections and laws. adding one trillion in debt. backing Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen into dust. he's got the power, and is doing a lot of damage, while people focus on his stupidity. Not going to be easy for them to clean up his mess.
  21. The reverberations, planetary disruptions, and earth shattering ripples in the space time continuum that would be caused by Saskatoon getting a CFL team would probably cause the disintegration of the Province, the engulfing of Saskathewan by a giant mud whirlpools, followed quickly by the collapse of Canada, and descent into darkness. Also, world war 3, and Klingon invasion.
  22. This thread could be called "Hall monitor". out.
  23. I think part of the problem is bonsuses.... far too high, and makes a temptation for decisions to be made based on how much bonus you get, when it should be made based on long term stability and success of the business. Best example last decade is the Wall street failure of 2008. People made billions in bonuses doing deals that they knew would fail. Did not have to pay back a penny.
  24. in the fifties and sixties, many people in North America could have a decent standard of living on one income. all the statistics show that most of any gains since the seventies here, have gone to the upper level, while lower level people's compensation is stagnant or actually going down as a percentage of the whole. Economic Policy Institute.
  25. watched the condensed game thanks frosty Edmonton had a lot of good chances to score. outstanding game by Hellebuyck.
