I guess we can keep Richie Hall now that he miraculously turned into a good coach. Sometimes the cliches are pretty good "coaches coach, and players play" Calgary starting O line was destroyed. Only one defensive breakdown. good to excellent tackling. How many people expected a defensive performance like that? not me. What a great win.

Based on some other teams playing Calgary, Messam goes down pretty easily if tackled low, don't bother with arm tackles shoulder tackles, flying tackles. unpopular to say, but Duron Carter took him down easily that way.

Do not: rely on the Fever to win by passing. Do: have an extra O lineman, and a fullback to make running game more effective. Let the fullback bang on Singleton, make room for Harris. Do not: use trick plays. Do: Ground and Pound.

We have the top offence, an outstanding qb, a top Canadian running back, and excellent Yank running back, top level o line, some good receivers, good special teams, Medlock probably back to normal, and a crappy defence. And a lot of wins. If the Bombers had even a middle of the pack defence, they'd probably win the whole thing. The team has problems, but jeeze it's hardly the disaster people are saying it is. I believe the defence will be decent next season, one way or the other. I do get the dissapointment of the last few weeks. It was a complete bummer to lost to BC. "Ok everybody, calm down."

singleton defensive player of the year harris outstanding canadian. Harris has an argument for mvp. He carried the team a few times when the offence sagged. If there was an outstanding effort award, I'd give it to Harris. He has just killed himself this season.

also, there are constantly players going in and out on defence. specially linebackers. That might be leading to some confusion and screw ups. but I thought the D was pretty good when Poop and Nevis were in at the same time. yes, probably the same Randall.

It's not really a bend don't break defence is it? It may be that that's what it's set up and supposed to be, but if so, things have not worked out that way. lots of long runs, and long passes allowed this season. Didn't they say at one point that they were going to simplify the defence? What does that imply? And did they actually do that? any opinions on Randall this season? I think he may have dropped off a bit. so many questions. @AtomicThe Bombers have brought a number of players in last while; they haven't signed any of them. two or three quarterbacks, defensive end, no linebacker that I remember. I do not know what that means. it's all a puzzlement.

There are instances this season where posters here seemed to be ahead of the coaches. Roc for instance. Last season, Drew Willy. There are others. Why did Roc get so much chances, and Davis gets maybe a half? Why has our defence been so bad for the entire tenure of O'Shea? Coaches make mistakes. Sometimes fans are right.

I wonder if some of the coaches are having a bit of trouble explaining things to some of the players. Maybe some of the players don't catch on as well as we would like. instinct, intelligence, studying, stuff like that, might be a bit lacking in some of the players. Some guys seem to know where to be, but can't do what's needed when they get there. Poorly coached in college, no tackling skills. who knows. probably there isn't one answer, a few things combine to give the team such a poor defence. Over a period of years. Needs to be fixed.... won't be this season. too late. If they can't produce even middle of the pack defence next season..... well that wouldn't be very good.

incompleterson is a strong contender for greatest fan name for a pro athlete, in the history of fans doing that. including the people's republic of China. It is absolutely brilliant. Whoever thought of it should be in some kind of hall of fame. I'd send the person a bottle of his/her favourite refreshment if I knew who it was. That person deserves and award!

There is a blood test concussion test developed in Kitchener Ontario. It is said to be much more accurate than other tests. I hope the CFL is looking into this test.
