I agree, it's so much like how I remember Cactus, it's almost unsettling.

Maybe it's cause the montreal Offence didn't have much trouble with the Bomber defence last game.

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Mark F replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I read that Johnny had never read a playbook before going to the NFL. Little I saw of him, that's what it looked like. Also, weak arm. Standard American media hype job. Kind of the anti Matt Nichols. johnny would be horrible in the CFL. -
Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

1290 confirming this right now. it's June in August. -
Trump is more obnoxious and repulsive than George W. Bush but to this point, Bush has a much filthier record of death and destruction than Trump. Bush destroyed Iraq. Took it from a first world level country, to pile of radioactive rubble. hundreds of thousands dead. home base of ISIS.

Nichols is showing good psychological resilience.... started the season ok, then few a threw horrible picks, one pick six, I was wondering if he was regressing; after one bad game he said "everyone needs to play better", and they all have. But I guess he's shown that since he came into the league. 1290 is putting a lot of air time into the Bombers lately, and doing a good job. Yesterday Hustler was mentioning Flanders, and said "and no it's not Ned" lol Hustler. Regularly inteview Milt, and other TSN /newspaper reporters from across the league.

3 stars plus HH broken esks streak edition
Mark F replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The first star must go to the five offensive lineman. Opened up holes, protected well, provide toughness, and team spirit. Nichols, Harris, Adams, Thorpe, all very good, but The top O line in the league is what makes it all work. so that makes... .2 stars each. times 8 games played = 1.6 stars each. -
The team saw Taynted Faith's posts about having a local band at the games. Realized it's a good idea. Went ahead and did it. Great for team, fans and band. "Taynted faith", should be changed to "Taynted fayth".

very hard hitting

I watched that fight. Almost unfathomable Foreman punching power on display.

Making some big plays, but seems like he is not playing as well as he did last season. Penalty on his game winning INT is the stupidest call I've seen this year. If that's the rule, Commissioner should do what he did with the challenge flag rules. dump it now. hope Heath gets back to making those int catches. I like the DOD tip of the hat to Howard Cosell. good to see the team taking everyone at mbb's advice, re pounding the ball. thanks DOD

did the same thing on a pass to the sideline. So he's right there with the receiver, at least. Maybe he can watch Randall video for four hours a day till the next game. or this might be right: cause it makes sense. I'm going to watch the tape before I say anything.

He's surprised? he had an article on his own website called "Ten things I hate about Jews". and he's shocked? . I watched an interview with one of his correspondents F. Goldy . As far as I could tell, she likes the idea of separate country for whites only. Seems that now, they've fired her. Another National post article says "it is hard to resolve, for example, Levant’s rejection of racism with Goldy’s appearance on the Krypto Report, a podcast produced by the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi outlet that advocates genocide." another article about Rebel Media. http://www.nationalobserver.com/2017/08/15/news/rebel-media-boss-jokes-about-criticism-tory-mp-after-charlottesville Canada isn't problem free, but I don't think we have the widespread depth of ignorance that they are living with in the US. first I've heard of Rebel Media.

thanks, I scrolled down, other good stuff on there... 9 minute interview with wylie.

One of my favourite non bomber, CFL players. "You can't stop Mike Pringle for four quarters" he said once, as he took over a game in the fourth quarter. Might have been v. the shmoes. Aside from the expected win, I would like to see some Flanders slashing up the middle plays.

There's a click track.... I think...... I heard a high hat going throughout. If not, yeah, he would need perfect metronome time. which he probably does have anyway. Heard some musicians from India, with Zakir Hussein, two violin players were in the band. they played long melodies in unison with very odd time signatures. fast. at one point they all just stopped playing. total silence. for quite a while. Then with no cue, BANG, all started again in perfect time. never heard anything like it. I thought at the time , one billion people there , some of them are bound to be on another level altogether Tony Williams was the absolute master of that kind of thing I think. There's a live miles davis album he's on, where he leads them all around by the nose with his cross rhythms, tempo changes, stops and starts.

The Bombers have tremendous mental toughness, showing flashes of brilliance. Maybe they're finally hitting their stride. starting to gel. This team is starting to make some noise, everybody's on the same page, the players have bought into the system. They're doing all the little things you need to win. (hattip to.... sportscliche.com)

Thanks! I agree, about Bran. Not many people that can play that many notes, and still have it completely musical. Usually ends up as noise. Not with Bran. have you heard him talk about his life? Some extremely tough times for him growing up. Johnzo has seen Mastodon a few times. They were in the peg but that was before I had heard them, so did not go.
-
... Noeller.
-
hard for me to imagine, since I did not play football, but that must be a huge thrill for a kid.
-
thanks! Seems that the games in the Peg was a big success all around.

What's the evidence of "fingerprints"? asked this question before, Jp85, who watches closely, said the only change he saw was Randall blitzing, which is new. Nobody else has noticed or mentioned anything new. I am going to guess it's more related to thinking Ritchie Hall is not good so if the defence is playing better, must be Moss. I don't think Ritchie Hall is not good at his job. Moss wouldn't have him here if he was. Same argument as Hurl. anyway, so What are the Moss related changes? I think the change is Roc is learning on the job, Roc changed postion, and Moe is back. those are the changes. anyway, Maybe Lawless can help us out here.

Yeah. Very strong, amazing balance, deceptive speed. He was one of a kind in the CFL. The one I remember clearly isn't on there..... a guy tried to tackle him in the open field, Charles put a few moves on him, and the guy literally just fell over to the ground, never touched Charlie. This video clip also reminded me why I would like to see more running in the CFL. I really like a good running game.

It now appears that the Bombers offence has many players that are reliable play makers, and some that are td threats from almost anywhere on the field. LaPo and Nichols really spread the ball around. Worth pointing out, Edmonton had some trouble with the Ticats in two games this season. 31/28, and 33/28 Bombers on the other hand......
