Temperatures in the world’s oceans have broken fresh records, testing new highs for more than a month in an “unprecedented” run that has led to scientists stating the Earth has reached “uncharted territory” in the climate crisis. The rapid acceleration of ocean temperatures in the last month is an anomaly that scientists have yet to explain. Prof Mike Meredith of the British Antarctic Survey said: “This has got scientists scratching their heads. The fact that it is warming as much as it has been is a real surprise, and very concerning. It could be a short-lived extreme high, or it could be the start of something much more serious.” https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/apr/26/accelerating-ocean-warming-earth-temperatures-climate-crisis wild ride ahead.

😂 "The co-founder of a fundraising group linked to Steve Bannon that promised to help Donald Trump construct a wall along the southern U.S. border was sentenced to four years and three months in prison on Wednesday for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors. Brian Kolfage, a decorated Air Force veteran who lost both of his legs and an arm in the Iraq War, previously pleaded guilty for his role in siphoning donations from the We Build the Wall campaign." lol.... are there any Trump efforts that aren't straight up cons? like... is there even a single one? "Absent from the case was Bannon, Trump's former top political adviser. He was initially arrested aboard a luxury yacht and faced federal fraud charges along with the other men, but Trump pardoned him during his final hours in office." comment: "If the US had approaching normal politics, the fact that TFG pardoned one person prior to their court case and then all the rest went to prison for the very same crimes would be an absolutely gigantic scandal. TFG would face ENDLESS questions about why he pardoned that one person, everybody would correctly assume it was some kind of investment in shutting that one person up … and Trump’s political future would be in the toilet because of his totally corrupt use of power." lol.

if the Jets didnt have bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all. dubois hit the post in the game the other day, would have ended the game. -
"but his emails" 😂 too stoopid, arrogant, to be careful what he said. also..." not news" defence worked before this. Tucker carlson got caught. good riddance, to bad rubbish, and, remember this ? "Thousands of hours of surveillance footage from the January 6 attack on the US Capitol are being made available to the Fox News host Tucker Carlson, a stunning level of access granted by the House speaker, Kevin McCarthy, that Democrats condemned as a “grave” breach of security. The hard-right host said his team was spending the week at the Capitol, preparing to reveal their findings. Granting exclusive access to January 6 security footage to such a deeply partisan figure is a highly unusual move, seen by some critics as essentially outsourcing House oversight to a TV personality " brilliant move by Kevin M Carthy. genius!

Zack Hyman winning goal, was bad goalkeeping no screen, not a hard shot. also edmonton goalie let one in between his pads . not stellar goalie play. exciting game though.

being smart, helps, but is not a prerequisite to making a lot of money. example: Pet Rock is a collectible toy made in 1975 by advertisingexecutive Gary Dahl.[1] They were rocks packaged in custom cardboard boxes[1] complete with ventilation holes and straw bedding imitating a pet carrier.[2] The fad lasted about six months, ending after a short increase in sales during the Christmas season of December 1975. Although by February 1976 they were discounted due to lower sales, Dahl sold over 1 million Pet Rocks for $4 each,[1] and became a millionaire.

It is Absurd that it is left to a private company to attempt to regulate the outlandish, evil Fox beast. It has a license. how about the regulatory body that governs it, reviewing its right to a license? nah. way too hard.

I do not want to go anywhere in the United States. "A woman in Hebron, Washington County ended up in the wrong driveway while searching for a friend’s house, and was shot to death, investigators said. HEBRON, N.Y. -- A woman looking for a friend's house in upstate New York was shot to death after the car she was riding in mistakenly went to the wrong address and was met with gunfire in the driveway, authorities said Monday. Kaylin Gillis, 20, was traveling through the rural town of Hebron with three other people Saturday night when the group made a wrong turn onto the property. They were trying to turn the car around when the homeowner, Kevin Monahan, 65, came out onto his porch and fired two shots, according to Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy. One round hit Gillis."

I have a theory.... Harper promoted polievre. "Former prime minister Stephen Harper says Pierre Poilievre is the Conservative leadership candidate with the best shot at leading the party to victory in the next federal election." after polievre bombs out, Harper will return to lead the reform/conservative party.

I guess everything is fine. "On Saturday morning, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greenelaunched into a creative explanation for how climate works, providing a graph on fossil fuels in an effort to prove her points. "If you believe that today's 'climate change' is caused by too much carbon, you have been fooled," Greene wrote on Twitter. "We live on a spinning planet that rotates around a much bigger sun along with other planets and heavenly bodies rotating around the sun that all create gravitational pull on one another while our galaxy rotates and travels through the universe. Considering all of that, yes our climate will change, and it's totally normal!" all based on her extensive research, and work in the field. I read she also supports Texeira.

next step is ..... the Nazis were correct, next step round up Jews, gays, blacks, asians. and yeah, it seems to be accelerating. just astounding. In Germany, this stuff is not permitted. "The paradox of tolerance states that if a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant is eventually seized or destroyed by the intolerant. Karl Popper described it as the seemingly self-contradictory idea that in order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must retain the right to be intolerant of intolerance."

Not that anyone doesnt know all of this, but here is a link to a very good editorial NYT article outlining the descent into authoritarianism in the US. not encouraging, as wealthy right wingers in search of tax breaks align with the racists whites at the state level, with help from Supreme Court, and flaccid Democrats like Obama, with his "bipartisan" b.s. link to NYT article. "The Republican Strategists who have carefully planned all of this" https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/12/opinion/republican-party-intrusive-government.html?unlocked_article_code=UO07cOcbM583lmZojYi7RbcWDz9JbJ90oZX4AvKt3sAzeaUqVfwaKSWhkRLplqYxx5wpA-MMYVSkMy8288AsXqJm7jHDSaQwAvmpfZUGBv2I7Kk8J3xFtWBE-E4xBZkgLzwAWp4gQ1Gfwji_XYW1Bpbsn8Dje75eSVRNNzz2dec1iq4vUuxZ5LM6W3Snvcdq9i8EXqHgi0E6U2GOFX6286acrjBuwjA5me7glSdqmPV-h39C-gHRe7L0xk_KSU_IM8hgohg3AHaHWqZEewktCJWAZ0alyKA9pq30ZJrKxJOXYEAUZmmyl4hc-iba-hVaBHke7r0pp3AcSQ4BdZ0DtBDI1Uw5pUqAl6r_pw&smid=url-share

Game 81 : @ Where The Wild Things Are
Mark F replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Those refs from last night should be suspended. I have no interest in broad street bully seventies era crap, can't skate hockey with low skill players taking out exciting high skill players like Ehlers. ItS crap like that that made me lose interest in hockey. jamie macoun cross check on ducky. surprised and glad that the Jets responded, but should not come to that.
