41-40, (42-43), 33-25, 43-40 What's going on?

I thought he was ok when Moe and Wild were playing. Fans were happy with him for a few games. Last night there seemed to be a fair number of views of him trotting up to the pile after the whistle last night, and chasing plays. generally speaking I don't think ball carriers fear the impact of the Hurl that much. He won't be coming out, Mike/Hall appear to like him a lot as our middle linebacker I got a kick out of Lankford making some good plays at receiver. next man up did his job well. -
there once was a poet named peter who had a way with meter other fans tried but their poems did not fly cause peter's meter was sweeter!

Nice to have Bob back on the radio broadcast. Is it just me that gets this message "you are not allowed to give reputation to this poster" wierd.

I thought I read people saying he's not very good period.

have to give some credit to the coach, and the other players, when a guy does well on returns don't you?

If they ever make the cartoon "superchicken" into a movie, I hope David Tennant gets the lead!

Quite a few players I can think of do the same thing. Seems to work pretty well for some of them.

Whatever method he has of getting ready for a game, seems to be working pretty well.

agree. I think it's pretty safe to say in general the players sign where they can get the most money. Within some limit or other......give or take five thousand bucks or so, and playoff cash. I don't know about that. They're not going to go on twitter and say "I signed with ________ cause they offered me __________dollars more than any other team" It's probably true that players like O'Shea. What's not to like? Seems like an excellent guy.

If you were Offensive coach, what plays would you call for the first series with the ball against Montreal? -

They do have Ed Tait, who I think is really the main team spokesdude/person. Ed points out the pluses, but he is definitely not afraid to admit and discuss mistakes. For instance he was the guest on the latest John Hodge Blue Bombers podcast. He does not shy away from criticism of the team, and individual players. Head coach just can't do that. I don't really expect the head coach to say much of anything to the media/fans. I never bother listening to their interviews, except for the funny guys, They just don't say anything much at all. exception maybe Paul Maurice, who is really good in this dept. Head coachs are in a no win situation, in media interviews. -
Causes: 2 & Out's; late game fade; Jekyl & Hyde

Rightly or not, some fan frustration is emerging early. Not entirely unjustified. When Paul LaPolice was here before, he worked crazy hours. I suspect maybe they overthink some things. Like not wanting to just play smash mouth, cause there's not a lot to that. no creativity whatsoever involved in that kind of football. in the good old days, when the time was running out, need a drive to win, and the Bombers could just grind out run after run, could not be stopped. Still works..... Messam the other day. *edit*.... trying to get my "Mark F likes this post" count higher. -
excellent use of the eyeroll emoticon in this last section !

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)

yup. It's a lot of exposure for a young band, and a big thrill to play in front of that many people. -

wear them down.... pound the ball. chip cox is small. run at him. Probably will not change the number of run plays though. The Bomber O coordinator has No faith in the run game. -

Popular local acts would probably get kids out, and they would be very cost effective. They work cheap. There are lots of them, in every city, that old(er) folks don't know about. All kinds, DJ's, rock bands, country bands, metal bands, pop bands. Really good bands. All looking for somewhere to play, cause there's a shortage of live music venues, in wpg, and everywhere else. also, maybe they could coordinate the acts with the casino that brings in really well known acts, that are probably not that expensive. They do one night at the casino. play another night at the football game. Live music is one of the cheapest things around these days. Winnipeg could start with young hotshots The Brothers Landreth, that band would easily put five hundred or a thousand people in the place on their own. -
yah, of course you're right.

She slowed the anthem down a lot. Thought she was going to grind to a stop. worst anthem rendition ever. this includes all countries. If they want to get young people down there, get some local music star to sing the thing.

The best way to make your life last longer is to spend your time doing things you don't enjoy. (might be a thought from Steve Wright ) Last year the Bombers had a receiver who was a good downfield blocker. They let him go. Shepherd maybe? I don't think the current group is excelling at this aspect of the game. I think the Bombers, if the QB can pull himself together, can probably beat any of the other teams. Matt can, he's done it before. I suspect he's putting a lot of pressure on himself. Got to R.E L.A.X.

Where are his squirrl-noculars? Must be hiding them.

put in flanders, put harris in at receiver/running back instead of Julian.

Messam had a good game, so did their line .... some nice holes opened up for him. This is what I don't get about the Bombers. We have a good O line, and yet, Harris does not ever get a big hole opened up for him. he gets five yards a carry, but half of that is him fighting off tacklers. I don't understand that. middle three guys weigh close to nine hundred pounds. should be able to do something for Harris, more than what they have been. Maybe it's cause they run so seldom, that they don't have it quite down as much as they would have, if they ran more often. The team gives up on the run very quickly. Also if the CFL is now a passing league, then defences are set up to stop the pass..... so.... do what they are not set up to do, which is stop the run. ie. run more coachs seem to be afraid to do something that goes against conventional thinking of the day. Pass lots, cause that's what's done these days. dumb.
