as far as I can tell, coaches are always let out of contracts to move around in the CFL. some kind of unwritten gentleman's agreement. probably cause the job security is so tenuous.

heard someone being interviewed, (radio, 1290 I think) saying Chris Jones probably makes 310 thousand dollars as head coach, and would make substantially more for both jobs. question he was asked was "why would Jones move?" answer was 1. control 2. money. Obviously he will go there if he doubles his salary. 300 thousand is a lot, but 500 thousand is a lot more. and, if he does the same thing again with sask, as he's done with Edmonton, who knows, the NFL might come calling. based on what I've been hearing for the last few days, his ferocious defence in Edmonton is no fluke. 1290 sure has left 680 in the dust as far as sports coverage goes, at least for me.

yeah, think your'e right... I think that was unusual, but smart behavior by a coach....

thinking about it some things that I noticed Jones went for touchdown on 3d and goal..... not the safe field goal route that I think bombers would take. jones listened to a player (stafford?) about throwing his flag on the interference (non) how many coaches would do that? linebacker j.c. sherret is 5 foot 9, and weighs all of 200 pounds. his defence.... no 1 in league. but lot of people here think our mlb at 220, is too small.

I guess once people know who the offensive coach is, there will be some more interest here. It's also discouraging to see what two teams did in two years, compared to what our team has done in two years. At least it is to me.
