  1. 12 jets belted a guy in the head behind the jets goal..... going to be a hey rube in this game. glad the jets aren't taken any **** wheeler is flying, so is 55. team looking good!!!
  2. great game much better than Halo.
  3. hope that ass that blindsided ehlers gets suspended. elbow up. two minutes? league is just as stupid as the CFL.
  4. amazing. Do they have enough people left to keep putting something on? I noticed CTV in Edmonton AM show is reduced to playing a live camera of some radio hosts, sitting in their chairs... wearing sweats, toques, headphones on.... couldn't believe it. I guess not many people are watching local tv anyway.
  5. nice that for a change a player wants to come to Manitoba! get him!
  6. Is that old football board game The bombers' source for plays? if so
  7. very sad. I doubt that this is what Mrs. Flutie would have wanted, with her remarkable sons, and no doubt fine grandchildren. To me, Doug and Darren always seemed like outstanding people in every way. Their mum and dad obviously had a big hand in that.
  8. anyone ever watch any old nascar footage? I thought movie car chase stuff was completely phoney, till I saw a few of the old nascar videos on youtube. those drivers were nuts.
  9. I think this is right.
  10. thanks, searched it as much as I am able, and can't find much for this particular unit. asked the place where we bought it, and got the brush off.
  11. I thought in the last 1/3 of the season, the O line started lookng better for pass protection, still not good with the running plays.... Nichols got killed first few games he played, then things looked somewhat less horrendous for him. But O line still biggest problem to me. I don't see how any offence can work if there's no pass protection and no run blocking. Juranbolden rules is pretty down on two or three of the O lineman.... I defer to him.
  12. holy crap that's a good car chase! yah I've also watched treasure of the sierra madre many times.... probably my favourite movie. "badges we don need no stinkin badges..." that guy became famous with that one line.
  13. thanks a lot tup for that... tried that, did not lift up the top, so it's a little different than that stove.
  14. have a ge stove, glass top. element died. can not find anything on the internets to show how to get at the element to change it. going to cost over two hundred bucks to have it done. can not find the service manual anywhere, free or to buy, anyone know how to do this? it's more than just unscrewing the screws at the front of the stove underneath the controls. thanks
  15. It's the general trend, less people doing more work, together with automation /offshoring, bringing in cheaper labour on work visas, and lower quality means more profit. Also been reading lately about a fair amount of people dumping cable and satellite tv, just going with internet. Newspaper and other media corporations are now using computers to write news stories that we read. To me the most remarkable sports media story is Jay Onrait. I used to see him doing breakfast television here in the Peg. I think he's from Northern Alberta.
  16. Didn't Matthews fall off a lot second season here?
  17. terrorist attack you will not hear the anthem played for, or even hear about at all, on our news. course this is completely different than the one in France.
  18. Tougher than that? Tony got the boot from PM job in Australia a while after that.
  19. well the greatest car chase I've seen was in The French Connection.... that's an old movie. best fight...... first (I think) Jason Bourne movie, fight in the glass and steel ultar modern apartment with the German assassin. my word that was well done. I think Jason did him in with the phone cord. There's a bar fight in "Treasure of the sierra madre" that was really good. That's fairly old.
  20. my goodness gracious!
  21. Bond movies have been downhill since Ursula Andress.
  22. Arab spring is fizzled into vapour, the guy that won the first free election in the history of Egypt is now in jail, they have a military dictatorship. They lock up journalists, shoot people that protest at the tahriri square, and pardonned the previous dicatator. Most Iraqis ( polls) would prefer to live under Sadaam. There are literally millions of Iraqis that have left, the country is ethnically cleansed, people that formerly got along, now live in fear and hate, there is no power, no drinking water, no medicine, on and on. I'd say they were much better off before. Same thing for Libya which had free health care, and much more, and is now a failed state ruled by regional warlords, and also the origin of a lot of the people fighting on the side of isis, and boko haram. Arab Spring was very short lived, and is now over.
  23. lol "cwazy" there's a guy on the nerd show that talks like elmer fudd. love that guy.
  24. BUSH: One of the major theaters against al Qaeda turns out to have been Iraq. This is where al Qaeda said they were going to take their stand. This is where al Qaeda was hoping to take– RADDATZ: But not until after the U.S. invaded. BUSH: Yeah, that’s right. So what?
