  1. I agree with all the previous posts.
  2. Is "character" more important than ability to play football to our coach and management? I think it might be.
  3. one of my favourite commentors on american election.... discusses debate "I case anyone missed it, we had the Rs debate on the economy last night. Two debates actually, the lesser one with the guys that score 2% or less in the polls, and then the main event with all the big guys. We should be inundated today with expert opinion about what they said and who the “winners” are. In the meantime, for some reason I feel compelled to make a few un-expert and wholly inadequately detailed and un-fact checked observations. Debate I (the guys that won’t be elected to the jobs they have now) 1) Christie reminds of John Candy’s Evil Twin. 2) The general consensus seems to be we need a small government that dominates the world. Any of the candidates can do it. 3) The one exception being Jindal (LA Guvernator). We need a small government and the country should emulate the economy of Louisiana. 4) I can’t put my finger on anything else that needs mentioning. Debate II (People we need to be Very Serious about) 1) Lots of rather impressive oratory, some of it even sounded informed. (see my fact checking disclaimer) I have no idea which planet, alternative universe, or time line they are talking about. This would concern me, but the audience would cheer and clap at regular intervals. 2) Given the uncertainty in 1), the general consensus seems to be we need a small government that dominates wherever it is we are. Any of the candidates can do it. 3) The one exception being Senator Paul (Ky). We need a small government and the country should emulate the economy of Kentucky. 4) We have a big national debt ($19T) and we need tax cuts. 5) I can’t put my finger on anything else that needs mentioning." comment in response: "Thanks CB, now I feel I didn’t miss it. I was hoping to hear Christopher Chris Christie Christ Almighty I’m Hungry walked over to Bobby Jindal’s lectern, sprinkled some salt on him, and then ate him on live TV."
  4. Paul Craig Roberts, assistant secretary to the treasury under R. Reagan, associate editor and columnist for The Wall Street Journal and columnist for Business Week and the Scripps Howard News Service.on trans pacific partnership: and so on.
  5. Danny Barrett !
  6. wasn't there a lot of 7 yard passes when you needed 10 with lapo? how much does an O.Coordinator make these days? anyone know? what does a TSN expert get?
  7. I thought bob wylie has had much success prior to this. wrong? "Charlaton" lol, good one.
  8. Is it possible the mess on offence wasn't just Marcel's doing? If the quarterback doesn't have even two seconds before he's jumped on, what difference does it make what play is called? Shouldn't at team with a decent O line be able to run up the middle at least once in a while? Edmonton seems to do it all the time to good effect. He's somewhat a scape goat, to buy themselves some credibility. I'm skeptical that anyone better will come here. There's more wrong with this team than Marcel. guess we'll see.
  9. do we add it to the total sacks given up this year by the offence? I feel sorry for Marcel, and hope he does well.
  10. American manufacturing has been destroyed by "free" trade agreements. they have rust belts in all the former manufacturing states. People aren't stupid.
  11. Not a good deal for Canada, or the United States. It was written by and for Transnational corporations. It takes law making out of the hands of elected government, and gives it to appointed arbitrators, who are paid by the corporations. You don't even get to know their names. Decisions made on the secret panels override the laws passed by elected governments, and are not appealable. Canada has lost a number of these panel rulings under Nafta, and they have dismantled laws passed by legislatures, and costing hundreds of millions of dollars in direct payments. Expect many more of those, if this deal goes through. Things like challenging our drug pricing tribunal, that regulates what drug companies can charge. Expect challenges to that. The drug companies hate our patent drug regulation laws, and want to be able to charge whatever they want, the way they can in the US. Some drugs in the US cost ten times what the same drugs cost here in some instances, cause they have no price regulation law. Exactly what are we going to sell to the Pacific Rim, where wages are in some places 8 cents an hour, workers have zero rights, and their are literally billions of people seeking a job. " yah that's great for jobs here in North America. It's the opposite of Democracy. It's a scam. Under Obama's us trade deal with S. Korea, that he said would result in more jobs in the US, the American trade deficit with S. Korea has massively increased, and caused the loss of American jobs. The U.S. goods trade deficit with Korea has swelled 90 percent, or $13.6 billion, in the first three years of the Korea FTA (comparing the year before the FTA took effect with the third year of implementation). The trade deficit increase equates to the loss of more than 90,000 American jobs in the first three years of the Korea FTA, counting both exports and imports, according to the trade-jobs ratio that the Obama administration used to project job gains from the deal." Obama is a con artist of the first order. This is his deal. If Trudeau buys into this, he's only slightly better than the previous outfit.
  12. lol. If spoken, should be with a robot voice.
  13. an explanation for keystone turndown "Warren Buffett’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit. With modest expansion, railroads can handle all new oil produced in western Canada through 2030, according to an analysis of the Keystone proposal by the U.S. State Department. “Whatever people bring to us, we’re ready to haul,” Krista York-Woolley, a spokeswoman for Burlington Northern, a unit of Buffett’s Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc., said in an interview. If Keystone XL “doesn’t happen, we’re here to haul.” also read his company recently bought 25000 railway cars, don't know what kind.
  14. Winner of the word of the day!! I mean who uses the word discussion in a sentence? have to admit, I used "discussion" to impress people! and it worked! and If I had the chance to do it again... I would!
  15. i thought that program was loosely based on an actual story.
  16. very good movie related to this is Nightcrawler with Jake Gillenhall... plays a guy who tracks police and the like and videos from in close. really suspenseful movie. was on netflix. similar stupid behavior relates to bears. we were camping in Alberta, mother bear and cubs peacefully walked by behind tent (one hundred feet or so away) a guy came up to our campsite with wife, and small children, he was going to cut through, get close and take pictures. then if anything happened, the bear would be shot and killed. I talked him out of it. Irresponsible by CBC.
  17. somebody on the team appears to be a bad evaluator of who has the ability to play. Same thing goes for some of the wierd stuff on defence.... cutting guys that played well, playing guys that didn't. That's what I'm starting to think. They can't tell the good players from the bad.
  18. we really like him. He's got good character. end of story. bring him in.
  19. Hamilton's defence is tough, remember what they did to us? yet he's killing them. He also looks like he could play for years more.
  20. think they said four receivers with a thousand yards. just completed a 43 yard pass from his 5. Ottawa looks like the most complete team in the league. Ottawa has an offensive line that does it's job well.
  21. very exciting game! Hamilton showing a lot of heart. lol! ripper...
  22. What a horrible interference call against Hamilton at Ottawa goal line. Just awful. burris tackled hamilton lineman on the goal line. burris is tough. ref flag quota for the first half being met in the last couple of minutes.
  23. Here's the REAL Mandala effect thing
