seems like teams are picking on ehlers.... am I right? at least twice I've seen sticks to his face. Don't like that at all, if having a fighter can stop that, I'm in favour.

The league was crap last year, and it's worse this year. I don't know what his job is, but I would like him to push the league in to doing something serious about protecting the quarterbacks. It's not much fun to watch a league with rookie quarterbacks, some of them ok, some of them lousy, playing many if not most of the games. Sask, Wpg, Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal, BC, Edmonton all playing backups for much of the year. we see late hits over and over again on quarterbacks, with nothing effective done to stop it. Are the teams too stupid to see that this is not good? or is it the league head office? It's not that complicated. err on the side of protecting the qb. git er done commissioner!

That was like a play off game. This is the start of the season. There was no letup from start to end of that game. Can't believe they can play at this pace for a whole season. NHL physical conditioning level is very high.

If you want to see the band, Harlequin still plays all over Western Canada regularly. George still fronts the band. I went to Joe's Garage about eight or so years ago, a full scale brawl took place, after a woman on the dance flor slugged a guy, and he slugged her back. guys flying over the bar, tables knocked over, at least ten people fighting. Nobody badly hurt that I could see. Really good bouncers who broke it up very fast. Lot of very drunk people there that night.

lol J5V.... Up till yesterday, at least we could say the defence was improving. but now, with the constant rejigging, switching players in and out for no apparent reason, ditching lineman who played well, putting in guys that havent played well, the defence seems to have started going south as well. Over five hundred yards against the team, collapse when it mattered most.
