I listen to radio broadcasts for some NFL teams. They are always ridiculously positive about every aspect of their team. greatest coach, greatest quarterback, etc. Bob is tough on the team in comparison to the absurd NFL broadcasts. I agree about Maurice. He's more informative, without damaging his team. He's far more experienced than Mike in media relations. But football coaches are all paranoid about their "schemes" and player status. to the point of silliness. see… Patriots. Like the idea of playing "vanilla" in preseason. LOL. what are the great super top secret plays and formations that we were cleverly keeping under wraps in preseason, and which we have now unleashed on the helpless opposition?

You've sold me on the O line being bad. It explains the problems on offence. So I don't see how a different quarterback is going to make much difference. As you've pointed out, Willy was making completions with defenders in his face. prior to getting hammered for the last time. and, even with willy, our offence wasn't very productive. The o line isn't much better than last years. So running plays don't work, and neither do passes longer than ten yards. That's why the play calling is limited. It's limited by the amount of time they expect the quarterback will have before he's on his ass. What difference would it make which running play was called, if there's no blocking? If there was a running play that would work, they'd call it. Can't have any kind of offence without a half decent O line. which we don't have. again. probably a combination of reasons why.

Muamba would just be a slight of hand at this point, the Offence is what smells. I think Juranboldrules has it right. Our New, improved, O line, is barely better than last year. So, no time to throw downfield, can't run, and no offence. Did you see their attempts to run the ball? Even with a bigger back, just nothing there. against a defence that every team can run on. They throw four to seven yard passes, cause if they try a longer pass, quarterback is on his back before the receiver is downfield. Think of how badly pummelled Drew got, trying to get the ball downfield. The O line is pretty bad. I wonder if it's the worst in the league.

later in the game there were at least two starting defensive guys in there. They made a big difference . think one was 8, (Randle?) and maybe Washington.

The bomber team management would not be happy if cjob started asking too many tough questions . Doug's not afraid to ask unpopular questions. And some fans don't like that tougher approach.

I agree with this. The Bombers don't think they need to answer any questions. The media are ok with that. I guess as long as fans don't care it's ok. A lot of people are giving O'Shea a big benefit of the doubt, unlike Marcel. Not sure why that is, I don't listen to the coaches show, or post game interviews. It's completely boring. Re O'Shea…. has any coach gone from special teams coach, to head coach, with no in between positions, and succeeded? Only coach I know of that I think did this was Reinbold. I easily be wrong. I also think other CFL coaches that have gone through the normal process, probably would rather not work here, cause of this. just guessing but I think there might be coaching fraternity unwritten rules, that the Bombers broke with this hiring. What's it like if you worked your way up, to work under a guy, who has much less experience than you?

just wanted to remind you all, that a bomber star went to the NFL and started for the Patriots for a year or two. So you should all be fans of the Patriots!

This is just like the spying on other teams. It turned out after the Patriots got hammered for that, that all of the teams were doing it. Some other NFL coaches admitted it. NFL needs a new commissioner. re deflated footballs, here's one opinion I'd value over any fan or sports commentor…. "Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer doesn't think the deflated footballs had anything to do with determining the winner of the AFC Championship, but he does think something else the Patriots did will resonate this offseason. "I think it was like 41-7, right?" Zimmer said at a Senior Bowl practice, via NFL.com. "I don't think the balls had a lot to do with it."

agree op, I don't care much anymore either. I was close to sick of the mess when they let Drew get pounded week after week till he finally got badly injured. Lastest qb move smells like desperation to me. hope it works, but…. I doubt it. I Like Ritchie Hall though. defence is pretty good. Make him head coach, and build from there.

I'm betting we'll see more running this next game. a. it might work b. passing is hopeless c. to appease the fans for a while, and create some hope. On the other hand our hapless offence could inspire hope in the Rider defence. Pretty sure they've got "the film" of our last game.

since he's been coach, can you think of one surprise play that has been tried on offence, or defence? Or any other kind of surprise? Brohm might start? Can he hand off the ball? Run it, over and over again. I don't think the Riders can stop the run. Doesn't matter much anyway. Neither team is going anywhere playoffs wise.

Why would Drew want to play again this year? Why would anyone want him to? to attempt to get into the playoffs, and then get hammered fifty to 6 and out? We have no chance of winning a playoff game So the point of that is what? improve the coach's resume is about all. Willy needs to get better, come back and play next year, hopefully with a better Bomber offensive coach and players that won't let him down so badly as the current group has. He went out and killed himself for this group, and their response so far, has been pitiful. I watched the game on TV and I thought I saw an offensive side that had quit. Those guys on offence (players and coaches) should be ashamed of how bad they are.
