  1. Toronto's love affair with itself is and has been for a long time, both comical, and irritating. Prairie Provinces don't exist in the minds of Torontonians. BC? where's that? Shittiest rock and roll city in Canada too.
  2. Then how did this happen? David Lewis was a secular Jew, just learned he was born in Russia, and arrived in Canada speaking only Yiddish. "David Lewis, CC QC (born David Losz; June 23, or October 1909 – May 23, 1981) was a Russian-born Canadian labour lawyer and social democratic politician. He was national secretary of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) from 1936 to 1950, and one of the key architects of the New Democratic Party (NDP) in 1961. In 1962, he was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP), in theCanadian House of Commons, for the York South electoral district. While an MP, he was elected the NDP's national leader, and served from 1971 until 1975." probably lots of other stuff to post about this, but won't do it right now. As far as anti semites go, you can probably find them anywhere including all three political parties. They all have their share of bigots no doubt.
  3. I remember a few years ago a game in Hamilton, might have been v calgary, one of the coaches had a heart attack during the game. with the hours coaches tend to put in, the scrutiny they get, the derision when not winning, got to be a super stressful job for some people. LaPolice worked really long hours I seem to recall. not sure how they can take it. Mike actually sounded a bit weary after the beatdown by Hamilton. mentally strong though and bounced back. There's no point in changing a coach this season. not giving these guys a full chance to win, and setting up bringing someone in who might be no better, and giving him an excuse. Team is not that bad at this point. could easily be five and three.
  4. I'd go with 65 toss power trap.
  5. Henoc looks like first string for colts preseason game today he was on the field for first team defence
  6. got some luck going for them all bounces going their way.

  9. I'm the only person with nothing better to do on sat night i guess
  10. blowout? yes same as against us. game over before end of first quarter
  11. I thought first half, the Marve run threat eased pressure on O line, he had more time to throw than willie or brohm last game. then later in the game, pressure increased. don't know if that was cause Toronto realized he was not running in second half.
  12. westwood thinks Lirim did a great job punting the game before last night. don't know what he said about that play last night. today saw Ian Wild make a nice play v. Jaguars…. tackled a runner for no gain. think he'll be on the steelers this season. forum quiet, reality setting in. adding on last year's doings, things don't seem that great I suppose. plug one leak, another appears.
  13. sorry, I was kidding. #i'm obtuse
  14. the one at the beginning of the video. the watermelon wheel spike picture. I stayed at a motel where that could have been taken. need vomit on the pavement and some empty vodka bottles though.
  15. he's a good sports writer. I check every article, has a podcast as well.
  16. saw two late hits by toronto , no call ref right there. hard to figure cause we sure get called on anything.
  17. pretty vague statement in response to some specific examples. don't you think? anyway, unimportant. CNN: So let’s dive right in. The loudest criticism that we often hear about “The New York Times” — I don’t know if it’s the most frequent but it’s certainly the loudest, is that it has a liberal bias. Does it? MARGARET SULLIVAN, PUBLIC EDITOR, THE NEW YORK TIMES: Well, some of my predecessors have taken that head-on. In fact, Daniel Okrent, the first public editor, once wrote a column — and I think the headline said something like “Is ‘The Times’ a Liberal Newspaper?” And his answer in the lead was, of course it is. And he went on from there. And it got quite a bit of response. I mean, that is obviously something people feel about The Times, and I think maybe the best way to think about it is that The Times reflects its readership, its community. It’s an urban paper; it’s a New York City paper. I mean that’s a reasonable criticism, I think. CNN: So it is a yes? SULLIVAN: It’s a modified “yes,” with a lot of nuance in it. I've given you two big examples of them being right wing. acting as a mouthpiece for George Bush and **** cheney lies, is hardly what I would call left wing. Tom Friedman is a neo con. still waiting for some examples of left wing positions taken by the New York Times. asking them what they are is like me asking you what you're like. might somewhat different than what people who know you think. anyway, thanks heel atomic.

  19. Lol that's like quoting the Sun on a Trudeau article. NYT openly leans to the left. you might want to look into that a little bit. New York Times was the number one cheerleader of the invasion of iraq. They actually had an editorial apology for their role in that invasion. pretty sure that is not one of the invasions lefties like. their main opinion writer is friedman, who is not even slightly "left " The New York times is not left at all. In fact it's despised by most left thinkers. aside from that, did you read the article, and if you did, are there errors of fact in it? I haven't read the article, and have no opinion on it.
  20. I stayed at the motel in Castlegar where that picture was taken.
  21. People who are honestly afraid of the NDP …. probably be disappointed if they form the government. pretty unlikely that they will do anything substantial to rock the boat as it currently floats. Never been in power, not going to do anything to piss too many people off , except some of their own long term party members.
  22. Read above been stated that veltung is a healthy scratch. He's hurt. I don't really care how they word it in the media - healthy scratch is an incorrect use of terminology, he's on the gameday roster as a member of the 2-man reserve but he's still injured. what's the injury?
