  1. Nice to see a team that helps out a new quarterback by running the ball isn't it? This just makes last nights game much worse.
  2. 16 to 0, two touchdown passes, first CFL game pro rookie. it is to lol maybe we can trade from crompton
  3. lol montreal rookie QB first CFL drive, vs. Grey Cup champions, run run run short passes, touchdown.
  4. When Labbe was in, it wasn't hard to see he wasn't really that good. like the game in Montreal where their running back torched us with dump passes across the middle, pretty sure it was his spot. He just wasn't fast enough to cover the guy. They ran that play many times. when Henoc started, he seemed to whiff a few things here and there, but it was also obvious that he was fast strong and smart, learned quickly, and made a lot of plays. I don't think you have to be learned in football to be able to see some of these things. with the new guy, I haven't seen him do anything. I watched him try to blitz, didn't seem very effective, and I did notice him showing up a few times after the ball carrier was down. Our D linemen just kind of bounce backwards and sideways when they hit the offensive lineman. Honestly, they look like their in the wrong league.
  5. Nothing is going to fix that noodle arm though. He throws Max Hall-like rainbows that take an hour to get to the target. lol. you're right, the ball does look like a Hall Pass. " Starting to wonder about that.
  6. This head shot crap makes me angry. O'Shea's remark that Willy is tough annoyed me. We all know Drew is tough, we saw him get killed last year more than enough times. That tough guy mentality is out of date when concussions are involved. First of all, the play was over, Willy was going nowhere. The play was over. I don't think the players intent matters at all. That should be irrelevant. It's far too difficult to determine that in most cases. If a player throws one punch, he's ejected, not matter how slight the harm. But nail the QB with your helmet, maybe cause permanent injury, and you get to carry on? absurd. I watched Calgary Hamilton, you could see how careful the Calgary D players were, to avoid hitting the Quarterback on the head. to me this is simple. If the qb gets hit on the head or neck by a defenders helmet, the defender should be suspended. on the spot. thrown out of the game. end of story. We all know by now what happens to people with these head injuries. This league needs to stop this, or I'll be losing interest in the CFL. And Willy was out cold. For a while. He shouldn't play next game
  7. which player on defence had a right to be overconfident after 500 or so yards by Sask?
  8. Hamilton's defence looked very fast to me. Where are they going to find some D lineman at this point? And what happened to Bryant Turner? He was the guy that people raved about, for good reason.
  9. Football knowledge or not, I think it was pretty obvious at least in last night's game, that Brohm couldn't get the ball down the field, and wasn't accurate in shorter passes. Whether that's his arm or something else, I don't know. There were plays where he had plenty of time, and still couldn't get the pass to the receiver. If the offence continues like it did last night, some receivers are going to get killed going for an off target pass. Last night Bastien got hammered going for one. The Defensive line appears to be physically weaker than the offensive lines of the first two teams the Bombers played. They just kind of run into and bounce off the pass protection guys. Preseason horrible loss: "It's only preseason" season opener at home : " season just started, relax they're 1 and 1" same as last year. Season is early, but when you see the continuity from last year's dismal effort after the early wins, it's not encouraging.
  10. I want Bryant Turner to have a big game. cjob said Dave Ritchie is here for 1990 Grey Cup thing.
  11. how bout the USA? Pontiac Silverdome built 1975 for 55 million by the city for the lions, who kindly left twenty five years later. Leaving the City a massive white elephant. sold for five hundred thousand dollars, now abandoned, and falling apart. Recently gone broke City of Detroit was fortunately able to chip in to build a new arena for the Lions to move to. The lions owned by Someone in the Ford family, who undoubtedly need the help, while the other folks in Detroit, can go screw themselves when their city gets auctioned off. Olympics no matter where held, are a feast for a few people, and a financial sore for the rest. Forest fire smoke is starting to bother me. also, went for a walk, just picked off five ticks. probably some more hiding on me somewhere. Update… found another tick.
  12. "Rick, Morty, and Jerry are held captive by aliens in a virtual reality in this M. Night Shimaylian style episode. Rick attempts escape multiple times, only to discover that there are multiple virtual realities encased in one another. However, despite system glitches, Jerry remains completely unaware while trying to sell his advertising slogan for apples. Rick finally games the aliens by giving them a fake recipe for the concoction they were seeking to retrieve from him. The aliens send Rick and Jerry on their way and later explode from the concoction."
  13. gotta go find his highlight youtube video!!! thanks!
  14. I heard there was a running back in camp. anyone know anything about it? I had this idea he might be Irish or Greek. Have I got it right? Or Icelandic?
  15. Interesting that each of those players are record holders at their universities. I didn't know Drew is from New Jersey… why doesn't he have that famous accent?
  16. He/They also did this in the final against Calgary last season. He was really hurting, went in when the backup (Joseph?) couldn't do anything. Not always the best thing for the player, or the team. To a point you admire the effort and the guts, but he's not helping himself the way he keeps getting killed. First game of the year, decent backup, player with injury history, why send him back in when he's already dinged up. At some point it's stupid. Just like Lulay last year.
  17. should be "kicked a Pilsner can, after checking to see if there was anything left in it"
  18. I've tried reading a few threads; Completely boring. Devoid of humour as far as I can tell. Just not worth the energy it takes to click a few times on the keyboard. The people that post at MBB never fail to provide some really good laughs. "Book of Gin" just looked, there actually is a book with that name. Looks like you're in good company DOD terminal seediness, lol.
  19. don't know who it was, at the end of the game a lineman came running full speed after Messam, jumped on him from above and behind and squashed him. It was funny/great.
  20. what stood out, rewatching the game?
  21. Its amazing how much smarter coaches are when they work with good players.
