Ottawa had a good defence last year ….. Don't remember Montreal's defence, just that their offence wasn't very good. Mostly I hope they don't fumble, throw numerous int, and make tons of penalties.

Years ago I had a conversation with an immigrant, seemed like nice guy, hard working etc… He mentioned that he was having a dispute with somebody…. and said if he didn't get his way, he'd have the guy's legs broken…. the way they did it where he came from. He was serious. Things have changed re immigration. when my paternal grandfather and grandmother immigrated from Eastern Europe, the last thing they wanted was to cling to what they left behind… including the language, the customs, the old grievances.

I saw that today was the thirtieth year since the bombing of this airplane. Years ago my neighbours, house right across the street, were a family of four, husband and wife from India, and their two very bright lively Canadian born kids. The little girl was my daughter's friend. They were all on that plane. It still bothers me.

Yup. Bomber TV and radio coverage here is pitiful.

All those Canadian coaches and staff on the bombers and still no chance for a Canadian Q.B. As the article says, the league needs a rule change. There was no Canadian content on our airwaves till we had the Canadian content rules, then we got huge international stars in the music business. same thing should be done here. I just don't accept that no Canadian is smart or athletic enough to play Q.B. in the CFL. so… give them a chance to catch up on the experience side. I would really enjoy watching a Canadian playing and succeeding at q.b.

I can't believe how little coverage there is on the radio for the Bombers. Jets, Jets, soccer, golf, more jets, and not really much time for the Bombers. Very boring for a Bomber fan. I like Walby and Westwood, but I'm not going to listen to their pre/post game show. For me 1290 doesn't cover the CFL enough to tune it in, when they do cover it. so Cornish library dod?

no offence, but I think this idea is overrated. I'm not commenting on Marve specifically, I don't know much about him, …. but how many plays did Drew Willy run before he got here? How much experience did Ricky Ray have when he took over in edmonton? Now people like Collaros. How many plays did he run before taking over last year? How bout Reilly in Edmonton? Pretty sure lots of successful quarterbacks had very little pro experience prior to succeeding in the CFL, and the NFL. There are all kinds of examples. unrelated but The thing about willy that I wonder about, is holding the ball too long. There were a few people posting here that said this was part of his problem last season, and part of the reason he got killed. Not simply bad Offensive line. I don't think he'll have the O line excuse this year.

saw two better teams play today…. Brazil Australia. There was all kinds of complex passing, footwork and really exciting plays. and France killed Korea; Canada beat Korea( China) on a last play penalty kick, otherwise looked no better than Korea. (China) Now I understand why the games with Canada were so boring.. our team isn't very good.

Have you seen any of those anywhere in the league yet? Real games haven't started. Toronto's new starter quarterback looked really good. So did a couple of Edmonton's quarterbacks.

There's something wrong with the way the world is being run, when one billion people can't get disease free drinking water. In Nigeria, elected officials have taken billions of dollars of money from state owned and sold oil, for themselves.. something like 20 billion…. Lagos is the world's largest slum. I think the problem is greed. that's all I'm saying.
